The best gyn reference textbook
Very well written and practically laid out. Superior to Novak's, Kistner, or Danforth.

A truly comprehensive, clearly written gynecology text.
I found Comprehensive Gynecology to be the best text I have read in this field. It is clear and consise yet comprehensively summarizes the current literature on each topic. Each chapter begins with a glossary of terms and ends with an excellent point by point review of key concepts. The text covers basic sciences, comprehensive evaluation of the female, general gynecology, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility. The chapters are well organized and include a synopsis of the current literature. I would recommend this text to anyone studing for fellowship exams. I have also read Copeland's Gynecology and in comparison found Comprehensive Gynecology to be superior in organization and readability.

Highly Recommended!!!
Dr. Louis Morton's THE FALL OF THE PHILIPPINES is the backbone of all books books written about the 1st Philippine Campaign of the Second World War. Well researched and documented, Morton was able to blend historical, personal, political and official military records in creating his work. No wonder it is the official US military history about the defeat and surrender on one of the largest US Army command in the Pacific. Morton's book also gives a lot of emphasis on Military Operations in the Philippines. Among them are the North Luzon Force, The South Luzon Force, WPO III, the Withdrawal to Bataan and Corregidor, the Surrender, the operations of the Visayas and Mindanao Forces and the 14th Japanese Imperial Army. The books contains a lot of maps, diagrams, table of organizations and photographs. A must have for those readers or researchers who would like to seek knowledge and answers about one of the greatest defeat American Arms has ever suffered.

Hard Knocks to Hot Stocks
In reading the book I found the first half some what hard to get through. I was looking towards getting the info he was to give on investing. The second half of the book was what I was looking for. If you use his discipline in trading you could make alot of money in the market. I would recommended it just to have a base to use in your stock trading methods.

Morty's stock advice is like Tiger Woods'golf advice...
I know the author personally,he gave me my "shot" on Wall St.when I was 18 years old. There are a lot of "empty suits" that have written books on investing,I promise you Morty is not one of them. If you love facts as I do regarding investments...buy this book it will be of value to you.

This book's a winner- it will make you a winner too!
Larry King's review (on the back cover) said it best, "this is the best book I've ever read on making it big. You're in the hands of a master. Enjoy!"

Robert Carter of Nomini Hall a Virginia Tobacco Planter of the 18th Century

A Fascinating Glimpse
Relying on extensive original documents, Morton constructs a highly readable portrait of life in 18th-century Virginia.

Robert Carter was a leading planter and businessman, one of a long line of Carters that held significant influence in pre-Revolutionary Virginia. By highlighting his significant operations, Morton provides a fascinating glimpse of this early American business leader.

Along the way, the reader is also introduced to a cast of characters whose lives intersected with Carter including tenants, slaves, businessmen and family members. Most interesting are the insights of Phillip Fithian, a tutor to the Carter children who kept a journal while employed by the family.

The book does not hide its age, as its passages relating to Carter's slaves portray him as the archetypal "benevolent master," yet it is highly worthwhile to anyone with an interest in Virginia, the Carter family or 18th-century America.
