Why hasn't this book been made into a Mini-Series?
I have just read this book for the 4th time in 20 years. It's a book I often go back and re-read, which is very rare for me. It's intriguing, with true to life characters, mystery, history, and just a plain old good story. If you see it at a used book store or garage sale, grab it. Everyone I lend it to loves it. The story, one of my favorite genres, is about 3 women whose lives are linked and how they intertwine. There's also a history of how Galveston lost it's position as the major Texas port to the upstart town of Houston. The great storm of 1900 and the Great Fire are also players in this book. I wish I knew if this author has written anything else (can't tell for sure from Amazon's information). If she hasn't, too bad for us readers. However, I don't know how she could top this one. It's an historical fiction/romance/mystery/gothic tale all wrapped into one. Highly recommended!!

Excellent book
This is one of the most interesting and exciting books that I have ever read, and I've read a lot. The characters and the history are fascinating.

History and a Twist!
Alas! I came here looking for Galveston, by Suzanne Morris to give to a new friend I've made who loves to read. This is a wonderful novel with rich characters, some terrific history of Galveston Island, and a surprising plot twist!

I guess I'll have to keep looking!

Find a copy of this book and read it!
This is a wonderful book! Each chapter focuses on a different character and each time I'd finish a chapter I'd think that I didn't want to read about the next person, but it just got better and better. This is a long book, but I couldn't put it down and read it in two days.

Pre-Feeding Skills: A Comprehensive Resource for Mealtime Development
Published in Paperback by Psychological Corp (2000)
Authors: Suzanne Evans Morris, Marsha Dunn Klein, and Marsha Dunn Klein
Amazon base price: $71.95

Excellent resource!
This is an excellent resource that every feeding therapist should own. The authors do not target one pediatric developmental stage but infancy through childhood. They thoroughly review normal anatomy and physiology relating to feeding and swallowing as well as complications and treatment options. The feeding experience is not isolated to anatomy and physiology but recognized as an experience with many psychoemotional and environmental factors.

Lisa-mother of Apraxic boy
My son hated this, he screamed until I turned it off in the car. My other children just said, "What is this?". Each child is different, I hope it helps someone else.

Marvelous Mouth Music
As a speech pathologist I was expecting a little more creativity and instruction with this CD. I wish there had been more information on the musculature being exercised. The songs did not have substantial repition to facilitate any type of motor control. I was sorry I purchased this item. Next time I'll look to ASHA for suggestions

Great fun!
I don't know if this is helping my son, just from listening to it, but we all enjoy the catchy, fun songs...We haven't looked at the information that goes with it the way that we should.
