The Armed Forces Journal Book review.
If you are looking for a relatively easy way to add a touch of individuality to your quarter which can be removed before handover, then stencilling may be the answer. It's cheap, adaptable, and easily painted over- and can be as individual as you want! 'The Stencilled Home' by Helen Morris is a book to inspire you- full of sophisticated and imaginative ideas, each chapter focuses on a themed room, with step by step guides and stencil packs to trace.

The Artistic Stenciler book review
There's simply no other book like 'The Stenciled Home'. When you open the book you embark on an amazing and delightful tour of thirteen themed rooms of Morris' stenciling work... Instead of following a trend into trompe l'oeil stenciling, Morris' shows us the immense possibilities that simple stenciling has in the ability to literally transform the interior of your home... It is the imaginative and innovative use of stencils that make this book invaluable... This is a stenciled house from top to bottom and definitely something not to be missed.

what do I read next?
Reader's Catalog is a large collection of entries, divided by subject, for books on a wide variety of subjects. The goal of the book is to be a reader's advisor. If you need a recommendation for a book on Islam, or Thai Cooking, or Geographical Place-Names, you can start here and get some titles, and, likely, some descriptions. Also ISBN's and publishers are given.

It is certainly nice to have such a comprehensive set of professional book reviews and comments.

The book is large, and the paper is very thin. After normal wear, it will not stand up on a shelf unless supported by other books. If it sounds like a good addition to your collection, you might want to make sure you've got a good spot atop the bookshelf to lay this paperback tome.

Not to be underestimated
This was my first book on magick, though not my introduction. I loved the spells and found the ones I tried to work. I especially recomend 'The mad tea party' on page 52 and 'Three woven ribbons to strengthen the bond'on page 31. The book is a delight to read and to look at as it has beautiful pictures and a lovely cover. All of Titania's books are very dear to me. There are two reasons why I gave the book four stars instead of five: first of all I missed the basics on witchcraft; what does the religion mean and exists of; what do wiccans believe and Titania didn't explain in depth why you have to perform certain spells in certain moon cycles. The second reason: on another bookshop site I read a few reviews on Titania's books written by teenagers who used her spells to surround themselves by 'hot guys'. Those persons completely missed the message. I hope Titania will make the true message more clearer in her next book. The four stars I gave the book are fully deserved. It is a wonderful book but before starting on these spells, read a little more about wicca, Titania's book 'Enchanted' and 'Teenwitch' and 'To ride a silver broomstick' by Silver Ravenwolf are wonderful starters!

Its best to buy this one first
I had bought all the other Titania books before this (due to lack of stock) and I should have waited for this one. It gives all the initial insight into becoming a Witch and is a great stepping stone for the beginner. I have recommended it to friends and now I recommend it to you.

The introduction tells you an idea of what a Witch is and also incldes a 'shopping list' (Invaluable to someone wanting to enter the craft). Titania speaks to you as an individual without patronising which (pardon the pun) I found inviting and undaunting. The spells are easy to follow and understand.

The best book out at the moment.

This book works
Once upon a time there was a young witch who desparately needed a mode of transport other than the bus. As the universe designed, into her lap fell this particular book with spells for all purposes, including money. At first glance it seemed that the book was all gloss and pretty pictures beautiful on a bookshelf but not necessarily of any use. Then she spotted a spell that would, if it worked, be exactly what she needed. This best suited spell looked as though it would be most difficult to perform because some of the items required were not readily availble, and not easy to attain. Of course the optimum timespan to perform the spell was fast disappearing. Then as if by magick all the items she was missing appeared..via friends and great timing...so she performed the spell releasing all the energy she could muster to the universe and in 3 days she had a brand new car and she drove around to her hearts content happily ever after :)... so there you go.. the book has validity, the spells work, and not just on the little things in life. A very useful witches tool The End :)

Good Complement to My Grandmother's Memoirs
Full of tough times & amazing (or appalling!) revelations. Fills in the many blanks and background assumptions about early rural Oklahoma school teaching that my grandmother somehow thought everyone would remember in the 21st century. Tone is exactly that of my grandmother, as well -- everything is tedious and hard, "but we enjoyed it." I don't believe it for a minute, but everybody must have pretended they did back then.

The book relates facts in chronological order, without much attention to telling a story or building an argument. Nevertheless useful for research into period.
