Pat
Pat was an inspiring individual who put his heart into everything. He was really proud when his book was published.

He would be thrilled that it is featured on line. Im sure hes watching us from above.

Take care Pat

The most inspiring and truly honest book I have ever read
What a shame there aren't more people in the world like Pat Tierney, an honest insight into a man who was truly alone in this world and truly seized every day and made the best of it. The best book I have ever read

Perfect book for visitors and residents alike
When I was handed this book, I started to flip through it--only to discover I couldn't put it down! As a resident of San Francisco, I was delighted to find the book included all the secrets I knew and then some. Ironic, playful prose and incredible tidbits of information abound, and the index--set up so that the entry for "Parks" is in a box with over 50 different parks listed--is incredibly helpful. The authors pay special attention to the variety and diversity of SF's neighborhoods, as well as taking care to point out all the incredible outdoor activities there are to do-hiking, walking tours, and the jaunt across the Golden Gate Bridge. A must have for any SF-bound visitor, and a plus for any resident.

Not The Best Book In The World And I Will Tell You Why...
When you first look at the book you say, ok this it the kind of book that would be a great to read, it looks suspenseful. Now I know by expirence, don't judge a book by it's cover. It was great the first six chapters. Hey, I coulden't put it down. But by the seventh, it just got boring. I totally agree with the editorial review: "...but readers will feel cheated that their investment in Joe and his natural reaction to grief was based on a manipulation of the plot."

A wonderful detective story
This is a detective story called ¡¥The Spying Game¡¦. It is written by Pat Moon. The main character of this story is Joe who is just a young boy. This story is about Joe¡¦s father has been killed in a road accident and Joe is filled with resentment towards the man who caused it. However, the murderer walked free as if nothing had happened.
Therefore disgust and anger build up so much inside Joe that he begins a delicate, secret but carefully calculated persecution of the man and his family. A scratch down the side of his new car, anonymous hate mail, graffiti etc., although all these things are not so serious and violent, just enough for the man to know that someone is watching him-all the time.
I choose this book to read because it was short listed for the Guardian¡¦s Children¡¦s Fiction Award and the Writer¡¦s Guild Award, and has been broadcast on the radio. Besides, it is a neatly worked-out plot in the story and it is not complicated for me to read. The plot of the story is very clear, that is the prelude, climax, and the ending.
Moreover, each part of the story can make people to surmise what will be happened next. So this is an imaginative story. In addition, all the characters created by Pat Moon are very vivid and true-to-life. Also, the story is very colorful, so I like this story very much. Furthermore, the ending is so wonderful that I like it very much. So i think this is an attractive novel !
To sum up, I can say that this is one of my favorite books that I read before and I would like to recommend this book to you to read, especially the age between 15~25. It is because we can learn many new vocabularies from this book that are useful for us!
