Great Weather Primer
"Watching Weather" is a wonderful introduction to weather. The authors explain the basics and build on it to cover "el NiƱo" and other contemporary events. The book is well designed with clear graphics and interesting sidebars. The "Rules of Thumb" are particularly helpful in gauging the weather in your everyday life. The book ends on a strong note with a sobering, but not hysterical, discussion of the Greenhouse Effect. This comes after an engrossing look at past global warmings and ice ages. The hothouse world of the dinosaurs and the glacial planet of the cavemen give you some sort of reference for modern changes. "Watching Weather" is a quick and entertaining primer if you want to start learning more about weather.

Apply weather data
Tom Murphree and Mary Miller have explained the facts about weather in an easy-to-read text with everyday applications addressed. This meteorological book would be beneficial to middle school through adult ages. The book encourages you to watch the weather daily and try your hand at being your own local weather forecaster.

A VERY well written book!
Tom Murphree and Mary Miller lay out valuable weather concepts in easy to understand terms. In fact, I've read several weather books and this rates at the top for ease of understanding, flow and entertainment...yes it's entertaining!

The graphics are very nice as well. They give it a "personally drawn" look!

Anyone in meteorology, or just wondering about weather should have this book on their shelf!

A must listen to audiobook
This should be the first self help audiobook, one should go through before listening to any other self books.

Wow!!!
I listened to the tapes a few years ago, when I borrowed them off an acquaintance in London, England. I thought that they were great tapes, but I had to give them back before I listened to them all. I forgot the author and title of this book. So, I have been searching for this for close to 6 months, but none of the self-help or 'career' audiobook sites could help me. I finally found it through a lot of searching old catalogs. I suppose he is not well known, but it is definitely the best audiobook that I have listened to. One of the things I like about him, is that he does not sound like a robot. His voice sounds very 'alive'. I have listened to at least 20 self-help or 'selling' audiobooks and this is the one I will never lend away. THE BEST

Life Changing Audio Book
This is a life changing audio book. You should have patience to work through the work book. Self esteem is so clearly explained and how to keep up your self esteem.

A Classic Reference is Back in Print!
Tom Miller's Assassination Please Almanac was an extremely valuable reference work when first published in the '70s. Its chronology and other features remain unique and valuable today. It is good to see it available again!!

The Truth
Robert J. Conley is a magnificent author. IN GERONIMO I BELIEVE HE HAS TRIED TO TELL A STORY WITH JUST AS MUCH truth from both sides of the picture as humanly possible. I have read many books about the Indian wars, many are fictional and many are non-fictional. Brigadier General Crook was a fine officer and Brigadier General miles was also considered a good officer, but I prefer those who have deep feelings of humanity. From this book I have taken the liberty of quoting the author as I think every ruler or President of every country should put to memory. And I think we might have fewer wars. Quote, A young Lieutenant Davis says, "You get to bury quite a few men in the calvary. Don't you sir?"
"Mr. Davis," said Lieutenant Gatewood,"men have been killing each other since Adam's sons. To die for an idea can be noble, but it would be a lot more noble if the men died for ideas that were true." Think about the fact that one side always thinks their right and the other is wrong. And remember that both sides think their right. Well let's stop starting wars with countrys just because we want them to be more like us.

Geronimo is an excellent book.
This is my favorite book on Geronimo, next to Geronimo: His Own Story. It's introduction is very discriptive on the early life of Geronimo. Then the story begins on the last year spent on the war path. The book describes everything so well that it is as if you are their viewing the events, and feel the sadness in your heart because Geronimo lost his freedom to and was lied to by the U.S. government and was submerged by hatred. Extremely sad epic.

A second opinion on the Therapy process
I highly recommend this book for anyone who has not been helped (or is considering entering therapy) in a meaningful way via traditional psycological therapy methods. The book should be considered mandatory reading for any professional in the fields of psychology and psychiatry who are determined to make the most positive impact possible for those people seeking their assistance. Instead of Therapy is a revolutionary book that will give the reader solid information on how to make real changes in their lives and avoid wasting time, money and energy in non-productive counseling relationships. I believe the book also gives the reader a glimpse into the future of the psychological therapy process.

Instead of Therapy by Tom Rusk
For eight years, I had a mediation practice, and I am now a grade four teacher in an international school in Bangkok, Thailand. My guiding principal is to help my clients and my students become independent of me, and help themselves change. My language for this comes from Tom Rusk's "Instead of Therapy." Early in his book, Tom Rusk talks about how he freed himself and his clients from a dependent relationship, and he explains the process with clarity, compassion and humor. He reveals his personal and professional experiences in a refreshing way. Rusk comes across as a solid practioner with no nonsense and at once, with such understanding and caring. I travel with this book and I recommend this book.

Read It! Draw It! Solve It!--- Love It!
This workbook is composed of activities that combine reading, math, written expression, and problem-solving. The student must read the problem and draw a picture of how they view the passage, then they must solve the problem in a through a pictoral manner. This allows the child to show how they solve the problems while using their creativity. Teachers may visualize any errors made by the child and understand better how to help the child. This is fun and educational and what could be better?

Read It! Draw It! Solve It!
This series of books is an excellent way for children to learn about what math really means. They got the opportunity to draw out the problem that they are solving and then write the equation and finally write a sentence or more about the answer. This is great preparation for the WASL test, and for greater thinkers. All students can be successful with these materials.

5th grader, Gonzalo Agurto says, "This is a good book!"
I read Wishbone Riddle of the Wayward Books. Wishbone and his owner Joe Tableot and his friends end up trying to sold a riddle. They ended up solving that the books weren't stolen so the person who broke in didn't go to jail. So, Joe, Wishbone, and their friends got congratulated. As a 5th grader this book was very good because I like to try and solve mysteries as it goes on. By Gonzalo Agurto at Nazareth School

It's a wonerful book.
I think this is the best series for kids and it has a cute dog named WishBone. You have to read it.

A Great Book for Absolute Beginners
Please note -- This book is exactly what the title says -- a BEGINNING shepherd's manual. If, like me, you are a beginner, you'll appreciate the clear and consise language the author uses to explain sheep and various aspects of sheep production. After reading this book, you'll know what questions to ask if you're considering raising a small flock. A more advanced book on the subject is "Raising Sheep the Modern Way," which delves into more details, and which I thoroughly recommend.

This book helped me to lose 55 pounds!
I've read many diet & nutrition books over the years, looking for help in overcoming my life-long battle with excess weight. This book finally did it for me! While the eating program included in the book is similar to other healthy, low-fat diets, it was the REST of the book which got me inspired. Using a series of questionnaires, Wiatt guides the reader to an identification of his or her own "eating personality." The premise is that different personality types face different challenges to healthy eating, and need to structure their diets accordingly to succeed. This book is fun to read, and quite compelling. I not only enjoyed the read, but I've also enjoyed putting the plan into action...the first diet I've ever been on that doesn't FEEL like a diet!
