Greatest series of all time!
This series is definitely my favorite. As Christy learns andgrows closer to God, so will you. It's all very realistic. Todd'sthe perfect and ideal guy, and you'll love him to death. I guarantee. After you read the 12 Christy Miller books, read Departures next, then The Sierra Jensen Series, Christy Miller's Diary, and Christy and Todd: The College Years. The Glenbrooke Series is also connected to the Christy Miller books, and you'll love them too, even though the characters are all around 25 or 26. Once you read one in on series, you have to read all the books in all the other series too because they're all connected, and they're all the best.

THE CHRISTY MILLER SERIES: You've gotta read it!
People you've gotta read the Christy Miller Series. These books are amazing! I love how I can totally relate to Christy's life, her thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Sometimes I get bored with reading, but I gotta say, its hard for me to put these books down. The way Todd and Tracy lead Christy to God is sooo sweet! And what's even better is that Todd's so cute! :) These books are funny, interesting, romantic, and very realistic. Even if you aren't a Christian, gosh you've gotta read these! WOW I'd love to actually live these books and be Christy and have a guy like Todd. And I'm sure when you order these books and read them you'll feel the same.

Wonderful series!
The Christy Miller Series is the best ever! I have read all 12 books, and I've read all 12 books of the sequel series-Sierra Jenson series! There is also another one coming out in June called Christy and Todd: The College Years! Robin Jones Gunn is a fantastic writer! I encourage everyone to buy these books, especially teenagers! They help you with real life situations and let you know that God is always there for you! Thanks!

Forever...
This book takes you through the entires Christy Miller Seriesand Sierra Jensen Series, but gives readers a look at Christy'spersonal thoughts, dreams, wishes, and prayers. This book also will help you understand what's going on in Christy's life during the Sierra Jensen Series. My favorite part is when Christy's leaving for Switzerland and she's saying goodbye to Todd. For a while they just hold each other and cry together. Then he kisses he three times... "One for the past" he says "One for the present" and "One for the future" ... the kiss for the future is the really long awesome romantic type... This book doesn't mean much if you haven't read the Chrsity and Sierra boks first, but if you like them, this will become on of your favorite books ever.

A READER FOR FLORIDA!
Hey ya'll...I think that these books are the most incredible books i have ever read. I have read all 12 of the Christy Miller Series and 1 and 2 of the College Series! I instantly Fell in Love with Todd, and I pray that the guy I marry will be just like him. He has the qualities every guy should have! I wish that my life was just like Christy's and I can't wait to read the 3rd book of the College Series! These Books have helped me in my life more ways than I can count! I love them and I can't wait to read them over! The things todd says to Christy are so sweet and caring, it makes you want to cry. I commend Robin Jones Gunn, she is an amazing writer. I like books that I can sit down in my room, and just get lost in a book. I couldn't put them down. I havne't been able to do that with a book in a long time! I encourage everyone to read these books, every one of them, and open their hearts to learn from them. God spoke to me in so many ways while i was reading the college books the most. I learned so much and my relationship with god was grown immensly. I look up to christy...and I try to be more like her each day!

These are the best books!
Hello everyone. Robin Jones Gunn's books on Christy Miller are absolutely the best books I have ever read. When you read them, it's as if you've crawled inside the book and you're there with her everywhere she goes! Todd is such a great character, and he's the exact type I've dreamt of marrying ever since I got book 1. I cry when she cries. I laugh, and trust me, there's plenty to laugh at. I have a smile on my face during every book, and I definitely recommend every single on of them. These books are sweet and romantic, but realistic and give you a Biblical perspective on the way life should be. I have actually grown closer to God through these books. Especially the college series. Thanks, Robin! You're the best!

Most romantic book EVER!
Christy and Todd have been friends--good friends-- for years, but no they have been dating for a few months. Todd and Christy love each other, but they love God more than anything. When they go to Disneyland, Todd tells that he wouldn't want to live without her and "You are the most precious gift God has ever given to me, Kilikina." It's the most romantic thing ever! Then Todd finds out he's been accepted to go a on a missions trip. He tells Christy he's decided not to go... maybe he could have a year ago or a few months ago, but not then. They were too close. Christy can't believe it. Todd's wanted to be a missionary for forever and she knows deep inside that he should go. Finally one night on the beach she tells Todd that he has to go. They both just hold each other and cry like crazy... it made me cry too! Todd takes her "Forever" bracelet and tells Christy "You know that if I go, we might never see each other again." but then he promises "If we ever meet again in this world, I'll put this bracelet back on your wrist, and that time, my Kilikina, it will stay on forever." It's the most romantic book ever, but will also help you in your relationship with God. A great book for and teen girl.

this book and series is probably the best I have ever read.
The Christy Miller series goes to the heart of a lot of girls lives. It is what my friends and I wish was us. This is my favorite series and I cry everytime I read Sweet Dreams. I really wish she would have written more of this series

I had to cry!!!She had to let go:(
Todd is sooo sweet(even though he is make-believe).He and Christy are closer than ever. There lives seem to be filled with sweet memories and secret whispers of affection. They don't even know what their lives may bring in the near future. When it happened I cried. My friends were over and thought I was crazy. It is an absolute must to read.Believe me!

Dreams
I have read all of the Christy Miller books, and this one is my favorite. I laughed and cried and experienced the joy along with Christy. I feel as though I am I am there, because a lot of the things Christy went through, I have too. I have know read all of the Christy Miller books and I am on Don't You Wish, book 3, of the Sierra Jensen series. It will be "awesome" to see what happens to Todd, Christy, Doug, Sierra, and everyone else in the rest of the Sierra Jensen series and Christy's college years. Robin is such a great author, and I have become involved in her books. She has kept my interest, and got me closer to God.

Christy Miller Books
ok, so this book is mainly about christy who is having her 16th birthday and her parents surprise her to a trip to Hawwii with her best friend from her old home in wisconsin. As they get there Paula is flirting with Todd(Christy's "boyfriend") and Christy gets very jellous.a lot of other things happen too but u have 2 read it to see what else! I love Robin jones Gunn!I have read all the christy miller books, and I love them all! I have actrually cried in every single one because they make you seem like you are Christy! They made me give my heart 2 the lord and they actrually make me feel jellous or happy or sad.

I have read all the Sierra Jenson series and many other books by Robin Jones Gunn. I would recommend this book and all of her other books to anyone. A Hunger for Healing : The Twelve Steps as a Classic Model for Christian Spiritual Growth

A great book for new or old 12-steppers
I read this book after I had worked through the steps, but I wish I had read it before. Miller does a great job breaking down each step and applying it to his own life. If you thought the steps were just for alcoholics, think again. This book will open your mind to behaviors that keep you stuck in the insanities of life. If your new to the steps or if you have lived them most of your life this book hits the spot.

Will Become a Classic for Christian Recovery
Our church staff recently presented a seven-part message series based on Miller's book and it had a profound impact on our congregation (New Life Christian Church, Centreville, VA, see newlife4me.com). We made the book available for our folks at our information table and it was the best received book we have ever used -- running slightly ahead of Lee Strobel's Case For Christ. It was so popular and there was so much interest in it that the book and the message series led to starting a couple of Celebrate Recovery/Hunger For Healing groups for those working through their own "hurts, habits, and hang-ups," including some who had never acknowledged having a problem other than some vague recognition that there was "sin" in their lives. Miller's book has been a perfect companion for our recovery groups. I highly recommend it for anyone struggeling with control issues -- those willing to admit their own lack of self-sufficiency and ready to return God to his rightful place as Creator and Lord of the Universe.

A deeply Spiritual Way of working the Twelve Steps
A perfect book for you who is working the steps in any Twelve Step Program - AA, Al-Anon, NA, OA or other... The book goes through the steps in a very pedagogic way from a spiritual perspective covering problems related to all kinds of problems of addiction and sin. Problems you can have even after you recovered from your primary disease. In the end of every chapter and step Keith Miller gives you questions to work with. He also covers aspects of sponsorship and problems with drawing lines/boundaries towards others. In doing so he clearly talks from his own experiences as an recovered workaholic and sinner. Gorskis' "Understanding the Twelve Steps" and Joe's & Charlie's "the Big Book Study" gave me an basic understanding of the Twelve Step Program, but this is my favorite book when it comes to getting deeper understanding of lives basic problems and to the spiritual side of the program. I "must" for anyone wanting to grow spiritual, even if they haven't worked the steps before.

Forever
I've loved joining Christy in this adventure and learning things along with her. What a great story to conclude the series! I haven't read all the books, but I feel that I really personally know Christy, Todd and Katie and Christy's other friends. This book finds Christy searching for the thing she is called to spend her life doing while on a mission trip in Europe. She is also realizing that her current boyfriend (if you could really call him that) belongs with another friend. So she lets him go and feels just great about her discision. However, there's something--someone, actually--Christy still can't make herself get over. Will God ever bring Todd back into her life?

Christy, I just found a little thing that totally made me think of you and a certain acquentance of yours, here it is:

If you love something very much, let it go free... If it does not return, it was not ment to be yours. If it does, love it *forever*.

A missions trip in Europe is a great adventure for Christy
Christy goes on a missions trip to Europe and has a interesting time! She's going out with Doug, but she wonders if anythings really changed from when they were just friends. She misses Todd terribly, even though she promised herself she wouldn't think of the T-word, she finds herself thinking about him constantly. Well, on this trip, she meets some very interesting peeps, including Sierra Jensen, and they become great friends. Christy realizes Doug and Tracy are the perfect couple, and when another girl on the missions trip gets hurt and is sent home, Christy, being the only one who can speak Spanish, is sent to Spain as her replacement. And boy, does she get a pleasant surprise at the train station! Let's just say she gets a dozen white carnations and her "forever" bracelet. Hmmm. . I wonder who those could be from! Read it to find out! Robin Jones Gunn, why did the Christy Miller series hafta end?! I love Chrisy Miller, although, i love sierra books too! Christy is way to undertalked about in the Sierra books. Well, anyways, all Christy Miller and Sierra Jensen books are must reads!

A Great Ending Book
The last and the best book of the "Christy Miller Series" Will Christy ever see Todd again? And will he still love her? What about Doug? Will he understand that Christy never as and never will love him or any one else till there no hope that Todd will come back.Read the book and find out I think that this is the best book that Robin Jones Gunn as ever written.

"As You Wish"
"As You Wish", a Christy Miller story from a series, shows the tale of a Christian college girl as she makes her way through life with God at the center of it all. After traveling across the world, Christy decides that now is the time to spend her final college years in Northern California and to make it even better, room with her best friend Katie. Even her longtime boyfriend Todd goes to the same college, resulting in more quality time for the two of them and a new level of commitment. But when she runs into an old childhood friend, Matthew Kingsley, will it alter Christy's feelings for Todd? With a life threatening event, Christy's eyes are opened to decide her true feelings and if she really is in love with Todd.
I thought this was a well written, descriptive and good teen romance novel. Robin Jones Gunn demonstrates the confusing feelings that sometime come along with love, while she also shows just how trustworthy God can be at hard times in our lives. This book is great for anyone who can relate to God or just wants to read a good story. With an excellent plot, some twists still appear in Christy's life allowing the reader to realize sometimes life doesn't always go as we planned.

MORE THAN I COULD WISH FOR!
This book was better than I could have wished for. I have to say that this is the best book in the Christy Miller series. Christy has grown up a lot, and she has gotten past her insecurities and she now is ready to make her own decisions... with Gods help. I read this book in one night because I couldn't pry myself away from it. I have fallen in love with Todd and Christy and their lives almost seem real. If you never read another book in your life, read this one... well, and all the others before it. If you know their past it makes this book all the better. If you have read all the other Christy Miller books you have to read this because its just amazing. And just think! There is still going to be one more! I cant wait till the next one comes out. I hope it's not too long. I'm not going to ruin the end... but lets just say all of you Christy and Todd fans, you will just feel like bursting with happiness and excitement! The entire book is great and I recommend this book to anyone!

Awesome book!
I finished this book in, literally, 2 hours. It's incredible!

After seeing each other only once in a while, Todd and Christy are now together on a daily basis. Todd has comfirmed his love for Christy, but she's still trying to sort out the pieces in their relationship. Then, when tragedy strikes, Christy realizes that she could loose Todd at any second. Is she willing to trust God with her future - with or without Todd? Will Todd ever propose?

This book was incredibly romantic, wonderfully written and funny. Robin Jones Gunn is an extremely talented author. I would highly recommed reading this, as well as her other books!

Conversations With God

Thought provoking - and then some!
I liked a lot of things about this book. It's a short read in that it's a series of statements by folks with 'answers' from God in bold below them. Each statement/answer then is a stand-alone thought that can be read and appreciated for itself. I think that God watches Judge Judy on occasion. One person says, "God, I feel like believing in you is a complete waste of my time." God answers, "I know the feeling." Another statement hit home strongly with me. A man tells God that keeping his pickup truck from starting won't stop him from going out & getting drunk that night. God tells him the truck will start after he's gone back inside to say goodbye to his mother who won't be there when he gets back from the tavern. His Mom dies in his arms, in the house, 2 hours later and the man has not had a drink since.

Unfortunately, for me personally, there are several examples of answers from 'God' that perpetuate the 'fire and brimstone,' "You're going to burn in Hell forever" God that turned me off to Him years ago. Fundamentalist Christians will love them but I tend to take that kind of statement with a grain of salt and look for the loving message that I know underlies it if it's really from God. I highly recommend this book as something to have handy for a quick pick-me-up since you can open it almost anywhere and find a useful inspiration of some kind. Even the ones I disagree with make me think and that's not all bad. It was worth the price to me.

FAMILY FRIENDLY
I am an avid reader.Having read many books through the years Christian and Non-Christian.I have been helped and blessed by some, entertained by others, but I found this book to be Inspired.I could give this to my teenaged grandsons, best friends,or my mother and all would be able to enjoy and relate to it. It is refreshing and insightful. It will allow you to chuckle, touch your heart and your soul.Give you peace of mind and spirit. Each home would profit by having this book accessible to family members and friends. Its message is profound and I would recommend it as a wonderful gift .

Forty-three Years Today
There are advantages of being a fulltime pastor for forty-three years. Then there are the disadvantages. I try as best I can not to dwell on the disadvantages. But the one that did bother me the most, was not being able to answer the questions of children. Adults seldom ask really hard to answer questions, like, “What is God’s favorite color?” or “Are their toys in heaven?” or “Why is everything that is fun to do a sin?” I remember this one well, “Why did God choose the Jews instead of us?” Forty-three years I have been talking about God, only to learn that I knew very little about Him. This book is The Spirit at work. A Minister who has not read this book is unlearned regardless of their education.

A Christy Miller Christmas Story...
I love all the Christy books and this one is no different! In this book, Christy is planning the perfect Christmas Vacation with Todd. But as soon as she arrives at the beach, all of Christy's plans blow up in her face. She gets her entire family mad at her, including her Aunt Marti, (whom she learns a secret about) and Todd. She even upsets Tracy (over a guy) without realizing it. But, Christy manages to hand it all over to God and let him help her through. One of the best things about the series is that Christy is just like you and I. She messes up. She's stubborn. She jumps to conclusions. But she trusts God, and though she sometimes takes the long way, she always comes back to him. This was a great Christy book, one that allows you to truthfully say, Christy is the Coolest!

This book is so good!
This book is so good! I read it about 5 times in a row while waiting for the next book. you just fall in love with Todd and become best friends with Christy. I encourage all girls to read this that are from ages 12 and up. You'll get attached!

Yours Forever
This book is so so good, the picnic on the beach, the New Years' kiss, Oh so romatic with a Christian point of view. These are just a few reasons I started reading the Christy Miller series, but my first book was Sierra Jensen series, and from then on it was them and nothing else I don't read any other books but these. Mrs.Gunn I think you are a very great writer but one thing what happened to Paul and Sierra? Please write more or have them made into movies or something. But no matter how you look at it these books rule. Thanks agin Mrs.Gunn

Good and Angry: Exchanging Frustration for Character in You and Your Kids

Good and Angry: Exchanging Frustration for Character in You
My children are 13, 11, and 9. I have read many excellent parenting books,
but feel that Dr. Turansky and Joanne Miller, R.N., B.S.N. have captured a new yet simple,
wise and practical method for training children. All of this in an easy to read book, Good and Angry: Exchanging Frustration for Character in You and Your Children. Good and Angry first helps the parent examine their own attitudes,
and then gives them a few simple tools to effectively raise kind,
considerate, sensitive, and loving children.

I especially enjoyed chapter 7, "They're So Annoying". It was refreshing to
know that other parents struggle with children who "seem oblivious to the
feelings of others, continue to pester, speak without thinking, and are
overly silly by pushing, grabbing, teasing, and joking". This chapter
explains that I can teach my "annoying child" self-control and sensitivity
by raising the awareness level of the annoying behavior, by keeping
character in mind, by praising the child in the process of correction, and
by developing tolerance when necessary. I have begun to use this simple
method, and feel less anxious and sense a strengthening relationship between
myself and my child.

This is not a book you read once and put away to collect dust. It is one
that you need to read over and over again. Good and Angry is a great book
if you want to replace bad patterns of discipline(reacting in anger) with
gentle, wise methods.
Dr. Turansky and Joanne Miller, R.N., B.S.N. have written this book from a
Christian perspective, but it's content is not religiously offensive. The
methods can be used by people of any faith.

Getting to the Heart of the Matter
As the mother of seven children, ages 1 to 13, I have read many parenting books, both secular and religious. Good and Angry is one of those rare books that offers the right blend of theory and practice. Turansky and Miller offer sound parenting advice based on solid biblical principles of mutual respect, kindness, and a proper view of authority. Beware -- this is not a quick fix book! Rather than focusing on changing behavior through a series of manipulations or oppressive authority, Good and Angry goes to the heart of the matter -- the need for parents to examine their own hearts and responses, to control their anger and re-direct it to positive interactions with their children. I especially appreciate the emphasis on teaching children to deal with their own anger, a skill which is mostly learned by example. Because it deals with matters of the heart, Good and Angry helps bring about lasting change in families -- a worthy goal and one from which all family members benefit.

Practical
I have read all three of the authors books and I've found this one to be the most helpful.

It didn't take me long in my parenting career to figure out that most issues with our children are ones that are solvable, once we look internally. What this book in particular helped me to realize was that my reaction to my son's disobedience is so very important. To respond in anger sends the wrong messages. The authors give you practical ways to react to disobedience and they guide you in managing your responses.

There are so many helpful ideas in this book. In a nutshell, I would highly recommend it to any parent.
