it's the right thing to do
Buy this book, that guy owes a lot of people serious money

Chilling with superb descript and visual clarity........
...and just when I thought I was becoming a good skier, I read Andrew's book and realized the depth of technical skill he posses. The Chuting Gallery is an excellant tool to be used by accomplished ski mountaineers to test the grade of their steel. As a guide book, for me, it tells me where not to go.....

this book rules
Even after skiing most of the North Face of Superior on my face, I'm still glad to have read this excellent guide. Filled with enough references to inspire caution in even the most hardcore skiers, this is the ultimate conversation piece, even if you never make it off the groomers at Alta.

The Magic Bullet
this book is a slightly updated version of edition number three. not much was changed - either version scores a 5 in my book. like many others, i have invested several hundred dollars in RE investment "how-to's". i seriously believe that you can obtain more usable, practical (read truthful and usable) information from this single volume than all the others on my bookshelf. you won't find a more comprehensive, relavent work on the subject. beyond content, its also written in a manner that invites understanding and complex subjects are dealt with in just the right amount of detail. i strongly recommend this work as a basic primer on making a living via real estate investing. the author(s) obviously take their subject matter seriously - offering a high degree of integrity with this book.

Good solid book
Among all of the books on real estate investing, this one gives you the best solid introduction. Once you decide the exact strategy you wish to pursue, you will want more specialized detail (like on renovations). I also liked the authors' approach in that they tell you how to really analyze your local market to develop ideas that will likely yield the best profits. I detest books that lay out step by step the author's suppossed "secrets to success"--when in fact that strategy might not work in a different place or time. ( One book I read told me to only buy 3-BR, 2-BTH, brick houses. We don't even have brick houses here!)

Packed with information
Read this book. You won't be disappointed. For my money it covers all the topics from foreclosures to financing to market strategy to leasing, etc. better tha any of the other competing books. The authors show a depth and breadth of knowledge and experience that convinced me that they really knew what they were talking about. Also, if you're thinking of moving some money from stocks to real estate, this book will show you the merits of that decision. A great book for beginners or pros in my opinion.

Charming!
What a lovely book! I would recommend this to those who have enjoyed the Gail Carson Levine Princess Tales books, as well as anyone who like a story with a little adventure, a little humor, and a good ending. The author's descriptions of the luscious melidrop made me long for them to be real!

Outdated
You know your dealing with a book that's outdated when you read "Most first loans are made by savings and loans associations." No offense intended to the author but although many of the concepts are good, they are not well-explained or presented for beginners to easily understand. I only understood as much as I did because I am in the real estate industry. Better choices are out there.

How to Get a Casino Job: A Dealer, Slot Technician, Casino Host or Cashier

Give me a break
This won't help you land a job one bit. A host job? He says he can help you get a host job? You're better off saving the $20 you spent on this book and sticking it on 17 black and letting it ride 5 times. Than the casino would owe you so much money, you won't need a job!

Too Much Fluff
This book has some useful information on subjects like training, job interviews and etiquette. The majority of the book, however, is padded with anecdotes about things that have happened to the author or other casino workers on the job. For the most part, the book was not helpful and I have found better information on the net.

A useful book
How to Get a Casino Job is a useful book on breaking in to the casino business. It covers the entrance requirements, schools and starting casinos in different places, including cruise ships. Its only weakness is a lack of information on the day to day aspects of casino work (after you get the job). If you want to get a casino job you should probably buy this book.

The RV Book: The ultimate guide to selecting and operating a recreational vehicle

I'm feeling ripped off with the purchase of this book
I'm interested in checking out RVing for my family and me. I bought this book because of the title and description on Amazon (no reviews had been posted at that time).

All I can say is this IS the worst how-to book I've ever read. It contains about 80 pages of info that is relevant to the title of the book and even that is repetitive. The rest is travel routes for NASCAR and Casino touring, some dealer listings, and miscellaneous other peripherally related material.

What was this guy thinking? I wanted to know about RV pros and cons for Class C RV layouts. Issues with satellite dishes. Detailed maintenance issues. How vehicle maintenance might be different than a van? What accessories might be useful? What can I expect at an RV park? Few of these questions were even remotely answered.

I can't believe this book is the "ultimate" guide to anything. This book is just plain bad news. Stay away.
