One of my favorite stories ever! Mccoy has magnificantly brought to life a western outlaw tale as if he was there firsthand.

indiana jones and the dinosaur eggs
must read! action pack and you won't put this book down. just as good as the movies. one of my favorite books.

The best book since dinosaurs laid eggs
This book is funny and witty, and there is plenty of action. Indy still has his girlfriend from the last book, Indy and the philosopher's stone, so there isn't a lot of gross romance. The book is really fabulous, and everyone should read it!

An Absolute GREAT Indy adventure!
This book was fabulous! It had that kinda'temple of Doom' twisted feel. with a chubby chinese man who eats human hearts, packs of wild man eating dogs, people who force Indy and his group of travelers to gulp down something a LOT worse than anything i could imagine...This book is just AWESOME! I think Max Mycoy is just the BEST Indiana Jones author out there. He catches the perfect qualities of Indy, and Marcus Brody. I more than definantly recomend this book. Although I think it was a notch lower than the Philosipher's Stone (A book that Lucas and Spielberg MUST make into a movie) This book deserves a perfect 5.

Philosopher's Stone Mediocre
When I read a book or watch a movie, one of the things I value most is plot. Philosopher's Stone, however, ran quite short when it comes to that. The overall plot was recycled from the matierial of the trilogy and glued onto these pages. Reading the first chapter was like reading a junior novelization of Raiders. At least I thought it could be redeemed in the areas of what I love most about Indy, adventure, romance, and the overall fun that is Indiana Jones. But again, Max McCoy fell terribly short in these areas and left you with a sinking feeling that you are reading this just for love of Indy.
I am an avid IJ fan, but if you want a good philosophers stone book, read Harry Potter.

McCoy is the best author yet!
This is the third Indy book I've read so far, and it is by far the best. The opening sequence is a thrilling introduction to the novel, and the addition of the crystal skull to the plot is a great bonus. At first I was disapointed by the world of Indy novels, finding Rob MacGregor's books a bit bland. Now that I have read McCoy's work, though, my faith has been restored. Keep 'em coming!

Best Indy Book I've Read So Far!
I have read most of McCoy's IJ books, and this is the best so far. TONS of action and I especially loved the way McCoy incorporated Indy's wry humor into the tense parts. Keep them coming McCoy!

What's Next Quad?
We have been teased with 3 Max McCoy's books, when does the next Indiana Jones book come out? I just don't like it when a hero forgets his adventures. Overall, McCoy does a fine job with the spirit of adventure that is Indiana Jones.

Great book, fun to read, Max McCoy's best Indy novel yet
Max McCoy didn't write a good book with Indiana Jones and the Dinosaur Eggs, but this new book is more action-packed, exciting, and hard to put down once you get into it. Max is an intelligent author and knows how to write a good Indy adventure featuring humor, suspense and exciting situation (maybe not as exciting as the movies, but those are hard to convey on paper... "Indy is chased by a huge boulder..." See what I mean?) All in all, a book worth buying if you are into Indy adventure novels. Carlos DaSilv

Hard Nosed and Action Packed
Max McCoy is the best author yet for Indiana Jones. When I read one of his books I feel like I'm watching the movie. This book has a lot of action and a wonderful plot. I especially like the part in Edda's shaft. With the warriors and..... If you like Indiana Jones stories read this book to find out what happens!

Great Bok, Wish it Were a Movie
This is te first bok I've read by Max McCoy. I didn't even realize it was a part of a series (other than being an Indiana Jones bok, obviously) until he was talking about his old girlfriend and I realized this was supposed to be familiar ground to the reader. Undaunted, I soared ahead, enthralled by the adventure. I enjoyed the bok up until the last twenty or so pages, when it becomes glaringly necessary to have followed McCoy's series in order to appreciate what's going on. I wouldn't have minded this, had the cover said something like "Fouth Installment in this Series" or something. Then, that time-travel thing came out of left field. I hope the earlier boks in the series give some sort of justification for that, although from reading the reviews here, it seems doubtful. That's why this bok didn't get 5 stars from me. Other than that, the bok is great. The pacing, dialogue, flavor, action, and scenes/locations are right out of an Indy movie. So far, only other book by McCoy I have is "Philosopher's Stone." Sounds like I ned to pick up a couple more before reading any further...

the best Indiana Jones book By Far
I've read all every Indiana Jones Book this was The best by far. The story is great and the adventure keeps you hooked I hope they keep making these books. Long Live Indy

good book for Indy fans
I really enjoyed reading this, in fact I read the whole thing in one night. Very Raiders of the Lost Ark - esque, it's fast-paced, exciting, and pulls you right in. If you like Indiana Jones, the books and the movies, then you'll definitely like this.

Twain & James ... Magnificent!
While the novel doesn't shed any light on the ambiguity surrounding the death of the infamous Jesse James, the tale that Jesse weaves (purportedly to Mark Twain) leaves one feeling sorry if not compassionate for the outlaw, despite his nefarious deeds. Without having read any other biographical accounts of the life of Jesse James, I can only say that Max McCoy crafted a crisp, entertaining read that seemed to be 'the real McCoy.' Kick back & enjoy!
