Emotions is a sensitive book about love, loss, mistakes and forgiveness. It is a touching story with several interesting plot parallels. His characters are well-developed and are easy to identify with, but I would like to have seen the story go further. He ends the book where the interesting stories would just begin. Is a sequel in the works?

Regardless, Tim writes a very readable, enjoyable, and entertaining story that will consume its readers over a long weekend. And while the book may be targeted to an African-American audience, its story is not at all limited to that experience. I would recommend it highly to those looking for a good read.

I read the book in one day. couldn't put it down. felt the characters were well portrayed. Could really relate to the story. You felt the intensity and the pain and the joy as it unfolded to develop the relationships that existed. You really felt like you knew the characters and related to everyday experiences. Everyone has been caught up in some type of drama and it isn't about blame or fault but how you deal with it. It made it appear as if it was a kaleidoscope of the heart. I have read all of this authors books and can't wait until the next one. Great book. Recommending it to all my friends.

If you have ever read a Timmothy McCann book, you will not be disappointed when you read EMOTIONS.
This book was amazing, to say the least. It was one of the most emotional reads I have read this year and believe me I read alot. I experienced quite a few different emotions whil reading this very touching story. I laughed, cried, and prayed as the words came to life as I read. When the story ended and I wiped away the last of my tears, I wasn't ready to put the book down. I only hope that Mr. McCann is planning to write a sequel soon.

I read "Always" and I was thoroughly pleased with Mr. McCann's novel. It was fresh, interesting, and very romantic. His characters are phenomenal; they remain true to character throughout the book, without being predictable. If you like E.Lynn, O.Tyree, and other African-American male writers, you will love Timmothy McCann even more. He moves so far from the usually and puts a believable, romantic twist to his writing. Best book I've read all year...and I read a lot.

McCann's latest masterpiece, "Always", Henry Louis Davis II and Cheryl Anne Allen forged their love thang as youngsters. Jump ahead to 2000, the Similac is off their breaths, they're grown-ups, and Henry has the opportunity on election night of becoming the first Black President of the US of A (choke on that David Duke), and Cheryl's watching with more than a passing interest. The years have found Henry married, to Leslie, and Cheryl still in flicker mode (fired up for Henry, y'all). Where does the three-way romance end--buy the book. Repeat after me slowly ...buy ...the ...book (Say it three times in your mirror and a Fed Ex truck will magically appear outside your door with the book, and need of credit card info of course). If you read "Until..." then you know that McCann is one of the best at taking love and exploring all of it's myriad outcomes---from recited wedding vows to the proverbial 'clean his toilet with his toothbush, girl'--McCann will take you there like some 70's high. You'll laugh, you'll cry. Bottom line, McCann's work satisfies like a six pack of Gatorade on the Sun. Skills with the pen and pad, McCann.

This was a very entertaining novel that came at just the right time. We have people of a different creed running in the Presidential Election of 2000 and this was a good book to compare. On the real life side, the romance was wonderful and I commend Mr. McCann for being able to understand the workings of a woman and how to appeal to one. Cheryl, Leslie and Henry had genuine and true feelings. I was glad that there wasn't a lot of scandal to make the plot more difficult. I won't give away the ending, but it was a little surprising, but truly genuine. I think this was better than the last book, but I am enjoying the works of Mr. McCann and he has a fan for ALWAYS...

After reading this book within a twenty-four hour period, four words came to mind, "thank you Timmothy McCann." It was so refreshing to read this skillfully crafted tale of love. Kudos to Mr. McCann for strong character development, making it easy to get lost in the characters world.You understand Betty's resistance to love, feel her vulnerability and marvel at her strength. Drew, oh boy, the man single women everywhere are waiting to exhale with. I was extremely impressed with Drew's morality, and his ability to do the right thing in regard to Zelma. I found all the characters to be realistic, from Evander's unsavory machinations, Peggy's sisterly ways, Felicia's ambivalence about her feelings for Drew to Jacqui's take no prisoners attitude. The icing on the cake was the use of the internet to develop Drew and Betty's relationship. Proving once again that love is not about the physical, but two souls connecting on a spirtual level. I highly recommend this book to anyone, but be careful as Timmothy also teases you with a taste of his poetic melody. This book leaves you with the renewed feeling of, you never know how or when-"Until. . ." >>

Timmothy B. McCann I applaud you brother!!! This is one of the best books I've read in a long time.I read this book in two days, it was so drawing I couldn't put it down! I even forgot to eat dinner tonight-I was so captivated. This book written from a brother with such sensitivity and real knowledge as to what's going on in the minds and hearts of us "sisters", is so accurate,and "brothers" it's a manual for us all. Until made me laugh out loud and shed a few tears but it was all well Worth it. I can hardly wait for the next novel, Always. Timm thanks for such a moving, emotionally, triumphant, stimulating read. I was impressed by this debut novel from Timmothy McCann. I especially liked his ability to speak from a female's point of view and to add a different storyline spin via inclusion of on-line romance.

Until is a love story with enough twists and turn to keep you reading in the wee hours of the morning. Relationships and friendship are addressed via the multidimensional characters as well underlying themes/Contemporary issues including single women over 30, middle class African Americans, corporate racism and true love.

Until is a quick, easy read about Betty, Drew, Jackie and Evander. Meet Betty a successful, young, attractive, over 30 and single, AA female in a prestigious, albeit predominantly white, Southern law firm. Meet Evander, Betty's love interest, her knight in shining armor who appears perfect in every way until Betty discovers his past, his secrets and Drew. Meet Drew an industrious entrepreneur; hardworking, honest, sensitive, sensual individual who keeps busy from sunrise to sunset to get over his deceased love, Felicia, UNTIL he meets Betty. Meet Jacqui who is the epitome sista friend-that strong Black Sister-that sista who on the surface is very opinionated, strong willed, strong minded, yet underneath that hard shell is a sensitive, caring individual who's also looking for the man of her dreams but who remains their for you UNTIL the end no matter what. Sounds predictable UNTIL you read the book and find out that there's much more between the pages. Drama that you wouldn't even know existed...especially where Evander is concerned and have you going "the nerve of that character; no he didn't go there"! Touching and poignant moments including Felicia's last words to Drew. The feelings associated with this situation were so real that it brought sadness and anger to the surface.

Until is a romantic, touching, entertaining, intriguing, sensual novel with a hint of suspense. The writing style is clear and expressive; the storyline is engaging and refreshing. UNTIL is Easy To Read and fast paced. I couldn't put the book down UNTIL...I finished.

Bravo to Timm McCann for this well-written sequel to Until. I finished the book in two days! Forever was Timm's best work to date. The dialogue between Jacqui and Betty really brought those characters to life. The story between Jacqui and Stefan could have been a book on its own! The book wasn't only enteraining, but it helped me to deal with a relationship I am currently in. It definitely dealt with real life issues. It's always good to read a book, not only for entertainment, but to learn and grow from it as well, and that's what will happened after reading "Forever". I just wanted to say job well done on "Forever" and I hope it does well. Keep up the "excellent" work Timm McCann!!

"Forever" is a story that explores the notion of just what that entails. It follows the lives of Betty and Drew from the moments before their wedding into their first year of marriage. We often arrive at the church with rose colored glasses and soon after the honeymoon discover what we thought we were getting isn't what we get. Well the glasses have come off for the newly married couple, with career, family and ex-lovers getting tossed into the mix. As I read this wonderful, engrossing story, I found myself counting the remaining pages, never wanting the story to end. Mr. McCann has brought together a great ensemble of characters, woven it around a heartfelt truthful story, with life long lessons sprinkled throughout. If you are looking for a good read, then "Forever" will not disappoint. And if you haven't had the chance to pick up Timmothy McCann's previous works, then you have done yourself a great injustice. In this day and age of flash-in-the- pan fiction, "Forever" stands high above the rest. Kudo's Timm for another story well woven and you know I am eagerly awaiting the next.

"Forever",a sequel to "Until" will take you on a marital journey with Betty and Drew. After a whirlwind courtship, Betty and Drew marries and then all hell breaks loose! Drew's mother becomes sick, Betty's no-good ex-boyfriend shows up, and Betty gets the case of a lifetime that requires most of her time! However, the subplot involving Jacqui and Stefan was so real! You could feel their emotions and concerns about their relationship. THE HIGHLIGHT? The highlight of the whole book was the character Blue. Blue gave some very encouraging words about self, life, and most importantly, love. I found myself underlining what he said!! It was that motivating! Mr. McCann is an extraordinary writer whose characters are both believable and loveable.
I have read ALL of his books and I'm looking forward to the next one.
