A funny tale my son and I both enjoy!
This story is written using sophisticated rhymes and tells a funny story most kids will identify with. My son asked to have this book read to him every night for weeks, and the clever writing kept it fun for me. I even memorized the book for car rides. It is definately one of my favorite books in his library.

This is a good book.
I am 4 years old and I like this book the best because they have a pillow fight. I like the pictures very much. The callerpittars are so funny. You should read this book.

A delightful, warmfuzzy, and cute bedtime story.
Caterpillow Fight is not only a great bedtime story but is quite charming. Is a tongue-tiwster at times. There is also a lesson at the end of this story which is a great learning experience. My 4-year granddaughter eagerly looked forward to hearing this story and rapidly learned to read it by herself due to the wonderful illustrations. The use of animals in realistic story matters are a great asset for young children. This book delivers all.

THIS BOOK IS AWESOME
Illustrations and story make for a delightful book:)

Good for conflict resolution between children
I'm Sorry, by Sam McBratney, focuses on all of the positive sides of a good friendship. The joys of a young boy is shared with his best friend. They play well together until one day they encounter a problem. Mr. McBratney does a great job of capturing how children feel after they have had a conflict and are no longer friends. At first I thought it was the boy who should apologize first, but then I realized that children always expect the other person to make the first move.

The book can be used for children K-3 to highlight the joys of good friendships and how to share with one another. Even though there they share many great times together, just one "mistake" can take it all away. It teaches children how to be careful of how they treat one another. When conflicts occur, they must be resolved or else both parties will pay the consequences - usually loneliness and sadness.

Jennifer Eachus has done a superb job of illustrating the story. In my opinion it's of Caldecott quality. Her artwork is soft and beautiful and captures detail through her "old-fashioned" touch. I chose the book in part for it's outstanding illustrations.

A great apology
I like this book because it is sweet and simple. It talksabout friendship and love and being hurt and saying "I'msorry". The illustrations are adorable. This is a great book to teach young children about apologizing and would also be a great gift to give as an apology to a friend, sister, brother, husband, or anyone who needs it. It would be hard not to accept such a sweet apology.

One of the warmest books for children
In my house, my children have well over one hundred books, but this is one of their favorites. It has humour, tendernes, and, above all, shows the children "How much I love you" with a little of humour. The story and the pictures are simply beatiful. When I kiss my children, saying goodnight, after reading this book, there`s allways a special kind of loving and relaxation in them. I definitely give it a 5 stars, must buy.

guess how much i love this book
we have two children who are four and six years old, probably around the same age of your children if you are looking at the prospect of buying this book. born and raised in manhattan, i happen to be bilingual and have been teaching our children spanish from birth -- no easy task but an enriching one. Out of all the books i've purchased -- many which are duds with poor illustration and content -- adivina cuanto te quiero is by far their favorite spanish day and bedtime story. i thank the publisher and that adorable long eared bunny for making my task so much easier and pleasurable!

Just You and Me .... What a fabulous book
My son and I have enjoyed this book countless time. He's a middle child, two siblings, all very close together in age. There are not many times that he and I have alone together. This book has brought a smile to his face EVERY SINGLE TIME we have read it together, from age three until now, he's almost five. We only read it when it's just the two of us. I can't recommend it highly enough. The story is sweet, the pictures are marvelous, and just wait till your child looks at you with adoring eyes when you read "Just you and me". It's a keeper.

A sweet story with beautiful illustrations
I really love the illustrations in this book. It is a very nice story for a father to read to a child. It addresses fear of rain storms in a very gentle way. It is sure to result in "again again" from your child, as it did mine.

A must have for all moms!
This calendar is an essential item for all moms with new babies. It comes with stickers for all the big milestones in a babies life such as its first tooth, first smile, ect, that you can stick on the date it happens so that you don't forget. This is so great for busy moms that might not have time to keep a daily journal of the events of their new baby but still want to remember when all the big milestones happened. It's got such great pictures and makes a pretty calender for any babies room! I definately reccomend it.

Great for moms and their kids
This book is a great bedtime (or anytime) book for moms to read to their kids. I think all children can relate to not wanting to stop playing to go to bed. The mother fox is patient and loving in her insistence that they settle down for the night. The illustrations are so cute, my 3 year old daughter keeps petting the baby fox. I recommend this book to anyone with children, as it reinforces the idea of undying and unconditional love. A+

Guess How Much I Love You: Book and Little Nutbrown Hare

Charming and heart-warming book, perfect for even newborns
This was the best childrens book I've ever read. As a first time mother, I found the sentiments expressed by the mother hare exactly the same as I felt for my newborn. It is sure to become the favorite bedtime story of a lot of children (and mothers too). The book allows for interaction with the story ie: "as high as I can reach". I checked the book out at the library and have read it faithfully to my son. I plan to purchase the book and read it to my future children(maybe even grandchildren someday). The illistrations are adorable, and the story is sweet. I found myself crying as I looked down at my 5 day old son, and realized that I loved him even more than "clear to the moon and back".

Guess How Much We Love Little Nutbrown?
This is the coolest book of this genre since "Hop on Pop". It has affected me and my entire life in more ways than any "review" could possibly try to achieve. If you have children, and you are one of the FEW parents that STILL read to them: PLEASE GET THIS BOOK! The world will be a better place because of it.
Thank You! so much Sam and Anita!!!

So sweet it made me cry.
I read this book in the bookstore and started crying it was so sweet. Of course, I was pregnant at the time and a little emotional. From that moment I had to have it. I still get teary eyed every time I read it to my 3 mos. old daughter. I've got Big & Little Nutbrown Hare too.

Sweet and endearing
My first reaction to the book was- "It's about time". You see so many childrens books that deal with mothers and their children. There aren't many that show just a father and his child relating to each other sentimentally. Big Nutbrown hare and Little Nutbrown hare are spending what our generation likes to refer to as "quality time" when Little Nutbrown hare tells his daddy how much he loves him. "I love you as high as I can reach!", he says. Big Nutbrown hare says, " love you as high as I can reach", and Little N.B. hare realizes that it's higher than he himself can reach. The rest of the book shows Little N.B. hare telling his daddy how much he loves him and tries to find analogies to express it. If you have kids, you know how your husband is with them when no one else is looking? You know- all goofy and lovey, things he's afraid to let his buddies see? That's what "Guess How Much I Love You" is like- it's like watching a father with his son as they spend time alone, and the father isn't embarassed to fully express his feelings for the child. A wonderful book! It usually comes in 3 formats- hard bound with paper cover, paperback, and board book (my favorite for young children- the hard, thick cardboard is virtually indistructable, even for teething tots).

Not competetive
This is a sweet, loving introduction to a familiar game that many parents have played with their child. I can't see it as being about competition. Perhaps some of the negative reviewers never played the game of "Guess how much I love you". But it was a natural part of childhood for my children. It wasn't about competition, it was about creativiity--thinking of ways of expressing love bigger than ever before. I wouldn't dream of trying to "oneup" my children. I just liked the silly answers we would come up with in playing.

To all the naysayers, the last line of the book is ALL about letting the child "win". The father waits until the child is asleep in the assurance he has come up with the unbeatable answer, "I Love you all the way to the moon!" But as he sleeps and the father looks at this bundle of miracle that has been bestowed upon him he says what he feels, "I love you all the way to the moon, and back". The child doesn't hear this. The father is just expressing a love he can't even define it's so big. That's not competetive or mean spirited, it's a wonderfully realistic portrayal of having a feeling of love so big that you know there is nothing bigger.

The pictures are great. I wouldn't go board book. This book is better for older children.

Buy it and enjoy it.

I Love You all the way up to the Moon - and Back!
Big Nutbrown Hare is putting Little Nutbrown Hare to bed. Little Nutbrown Hare tries to tell his father just how much he loves him by stretching out his arms, by hopping really high, and doing all sorts of funny things. With each illustration his daddy, Big Nutbrown Hare uses the same illustration that his son did to express his love even more to his little one.

In the end, Little Nutbrown Hare finally falls asleep while his father tucks him in bed.

It is a very cute story that is easy and quick to read, but that children love. I feel they can identify with Little Nutbrown Hare in the way he expresses his love to his father. I think it also reassures the child of his parent's love. It is a really good bedtime story.

In addition, the pictures are adorable. It is VERY well done! This book is very reasonable for a board book and well worth the money!
