I originally bought 2 of these books in the late 1970's, one for each grandmother. Both were able to complete them before they died. One grandmother filled out the book herself and the other used my help. This gave me a format to get to know both grandmothers better as they would relive memories brought up by the questions in the book. I like the fact that Christianity and spiritual beliefs is also included in the book. My family and I will have the memories of my grandmothers recorded forever and I am now ordering one for each of my parents to carry on the tradition.

I purchased this book in 1975-78 peiod as a gift to my mother-in-law. She is now in a nursing home at the age of 94, we recently got out her copy and started reading her comments. What a blessing, the questions asked by the author were wonderful, but Mom's comments were the best. We will treasure this book for the rest of our lives and hope our children and grand-children will also. It gives us joy to read about her life and thoughts, Cassandre's book makes Moms life come alive again. I would like to purchase another one for my own personal use, but find them listed as out of print. I am also concerned that those offered in the "used category" are already written in and would not want a life history of someone else. Would you please clarify if they are indeed written in? This book is great. It tells the Christmas story in the way that young children can understand. It is written in the style of Brown Bear, Brown Bear. The rhythm and repetition is wonderful. The pictures are beautiful. Plus in addition to the story in word and pictures there are symbols on each page that reflect a name for the Christ (ie. Bread of life, Priceless treasure, The Door...).
