A Great Romantic Read
Eventhough I'm too young to fall in love (at my age, only a crush will do), I think this romantic novel by author Connie Mason is an excellent, high quality romance. Connie Mason, of course, has written other great romantic and steamy novels that melt a woman's heart. And they have plots. For women, romance novels are not only sex stories, they are a means of escaping our dull, modern life and experiencing a romance we all wish we had in a time of exciting change in history. In Brave Land, Brave Love, Ben Penrod is the Australian proprietor of his family's land. He moves to England where he engages in an affair with an upscale Victorian woman of low morals. Eventually, he runs into Tia, a young lady masquerading as a boy of the steets to avoid problems. She lies to Ben saying she is a prostitute. Eventually, she passes off for his wife to fool Ben's London friends. Tia is a feisty, hot-tempered, passionate and vibrant young woman who ends up getting Ben's heart. The story unfolds to reveal intrigue and adventure. Ben and Tia are exemplary romantic figures- she is sexy, confident, mature, he is a playboy, an adventurer, brave and eventually a one-woman man. The love story is incredible. I recommend this highly.

BRAVE LAND BRAVE LOVE
I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN I ENJOYED READING IT AND I ALSO LOVED READING WILD LAND WILD LOVE THE SECOND BOOK IN THE SERIES I GIVE BOTH BOOKS A 5 STAR RATING MRS CONNIE IS A GREAT AUTHOR AS FAR AS I AM CONCEREND.

I couldn't put it down.....
This was another one of my "maiden voyages" as I have never read anything by Connie Mason until this book. I have another book by her that I intended to read first, Shiek, but wanted to test the waters with this book.

I was pleasantly surprised in Tia's character, who dressed as a male from the streets of London, complete with the foul language to match not once, but three times: once when she lifted Ben Penrod's wallet, again when she left his house for the bad side of London, and again when she escaped Damian Fairfield's abuse for the Austrailian Outback. This says something about the type of security they had back in 1819. I admire her courage for keeping her secret marriage to Damian Fairfield until chapter twelve, when her husband came banging on the door at Penrod Station, demanding she be returned to him. I'm glad he was killed by Cress because Tia would have died by the time she was 21 if she remained with her abusive husband.

Ben Penrod's attitude toward women and marriage was appalling, even if his brothers had to fight to keep their wives, which was a bad example. I mean, he was arrogant, self-centered, and self absorbed. The woman he got caught in bed with, Caroline Battersby, was no slouch either being spoiled, coniving and down right rude to Tia during the dinner party. She planned to trap Ben in bed when her father came home early. No wonder he wanted to run. I expected more of Caroline and her father. Evidently, their tentacles didn't reach as far as Austrailia.

For someone who didn't want to be married, I find it amazing that Ben Penrod lusted after Tia's body and refused to let her leave once they were at Penrod Station. Yes, he fought the desire to marry but lost when he found out he couldn't live without Tia or stand the fact that another man was touching her body. I also found it ironic that the word love never exisited in his vocabulary until Tia came along. He even refused to admit he was in love with her, even though the signs were there.

I admire Tia's strong character, which is similar to Perdita Lyford's character in (the late) Barbra Cartland's "The Daring Deception". Both women were running from abusive situations.

I do plan to read more of Connie Mason in the near future.

The book is what got me hooked on Connie Mason.
My sister in law read the Brave Land, Brave Love and said it was really a great book .She gave it to me to read and I noticed it was the last book of 3. I went to the library to get the other 2 books before it. I read all 3 in 1 week. Couldn`t put them down. Mrs. Mason is a very good writer. I`m hooked and plan on reading her other books. Keep up the good work.

ON OF MY FAVORITES
Reading Bold Land Bold Love was an experience I enjoy over and over again. IT made me feel like I was there experiencing what Dare & Casey felt and what they were going through. It kept my interest and I laughed with them and also cried with them. I found it very easy to Hate the villianess. It is one of many of Ms. Mason's books which once you open it it will keep you interest from the first page to the last.

a very very good book!
i loved this book! i have been reading romance books for a while now and i have come across bad and good books. this goes in the GREAT collumn. if you like adventure, romance, Australia, red-haired convicts, and dark haired men all in the 1800's (1807-1810) then you would love this book. i did!!

A Must Read Book, Caring and Romantic
Hard Headed Jess, thought he had the answers to everything, mistaking Ariel as another women wanted for murder and bank robberies. She soon doesn't take long to get under his skin and the tavles are turned on him as he finds hes isn't always right. Very funny. Will read again!

Humourous & Romantic all- in- one!
I thought that Jess and Ariel were perfect for each other. They could not stand each other at first and they could not get enough of each other at the end. I like the way Jess was so possessive when Ariel was concerned. It was really hilarious reading about how they fought. It was my favorite Connie Mason book and what started me reading her books.

ONE OF THE BEST!
This is the first book I've ever read by Connie Mason and it is a KEEP. The characters are so alive and the story is well told. I can't help feeling sorry for Dawn, poor thing. Cole is a great hero, but I also hate him for not admitting his feelings. Overall, Great story.

Another good book from Connie
I have been a fan of Connie's for years. I read everything she puts out, usually over and over again. That's what I did with this book. I orginally read it years ago and recently found it again and was just a thrilled this time. Connie has a way of making even the most fierce heros vulunerable and the weakest heroines strong and courageous. Her characters always compliment each other so well that if they were real we know they'd be together always.

"The Lion's Bride" starts off right after William the Conquerer has taken England. One of his knights,Lyon, who saved his life, has now been charged with the Protection of Cragmere, the home of Ariana. Ariana is determined not to let William's Lion rule her. But Lyon is under orders to Marry the wench and take control. He does but then sends her to a convent for 5 years until he needs his wife. Ariana goes thru with the marriage and retreats to the convent but conspires with her former betrothed, Edric.

Now 5 years later Ariana has grown into a beautiful woman and Lyon has need of his wife. Lyon is to return to Cragmere and help prevent a rebellion. So he sends for his wife, hoping to find her docile. Well that's not to be. Ariana is a strong willful woman who speaks her mind. Lyon is struck with her beauty but cannot trust her not to betray him or his heart.

Ariana is also amazed when she returns to find that the man who she has hated for years is stirring feelings in her that confuse her. Together they must follow their passions to wherever they lead or else they will burn out.

The book is filled with Connie's famous erotic love scenes that could make the book erupt in flames. You can always count on her books to do that.

I found this book to be very enjoyable and as always i look forward to others by Connie.

A Beautiful Novel!
Connie Mason is by far, my favorite romance author. I have read "The Lion's Bride" about ten times now! It's a great story and the characters are to die for! You fall in love with Ariana and Lyon. The power, love and passion is just amazing and well told! Connie Mason is not only a fantastic author, but a person who appreciates her fans. I have written to her many times and I always receive a response, book marks and even hand signed book plates for my novels. Her books are excellent and worth your reading time! A+++

Connie, can't get enough
When I first heard about a book called The Lion's Bride by Connie Mason, I thought 'no way it can't be good!'.Then I read all the reviews on this web site and I knew I had to get theis book. I am glad that I did.

The way Connie Mason writes this book is absolutely fantastic. I have read many of Connie's book and this is one of my favorites.
The relationship between Ariana and Lyon is so explosive that you get burnt just by reading it. The plot of the book is just amazing.

If anyone sees this book, don't think twice; BUY IT!
I could not put this one down and I look forward to reading many, many more.

The Outlaws: Jess

An excellent read
I recently started reading Connie Mason novels. The first one I read was The Dragon Lord, which was amazing. I then read this novel, and although it was very good, it wasn't as satisfing as The Dragon Lord. I do recommend this novel, but I highly recommend The Dragon Lord. This one just wasn't as exciting as The Dragon Lord. But anyways, both novels are very good!!

I could not put it down
This is one of Connie's best. the romance relationship between Meg and Jess is absolutely amazing. It was really good how all through the book they were together, except when Megs past catches up to her.
The love scenes were fantastic and it is really great to see the brotherly love the Jess has for his two brothers Rafe and Sam.
If you come by this book read it then read the trilogy. They are all fantastic. I read this book in two days and i loved every minute of it. It is a KEEPER!!!!

Another wonderful book
Well this is another book by one of my favorite authors. Connie Mason's books are all keepers! I have read and reread them all several times. I loved the Outlaws series. These brothers are great. This book is about Jess, the Doctor. He is on the run along with his brothers from the law after being falsely accused of robbing a bank. He comes across a female bounty hunter, Meg, who is determined to bring him in. How this story unravels is quite funny and very touching. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone.
