A Rebel Computer!
Harry is an elementary school student who really wants a drum set for his birthday.
Instead his parents buy him a computer! The computer is not the usual computer. You
see, it cries, writes messages, and even flashes the house lights when it wants attention!
Roger, Harry's brother disappears, and Harry wonders who is to blame. He asks the
computer, "Would you bring Roger back, please?" The answer comes back loud and
clear, "No," This is a fun and entertaining story especially in this time of computers! One
of my personal favorites! written by Bob Townsend

The Valentine That Ate Me.
Alright, to tell the truth, I read this book about four or five years ago; but since it's one of my favorite books, I dug it out again and re-read it. For some reason, (perhaps because I am older), this book didn't have the same appeal as it did before. Basically, Liz, the protagonist, seems to have something against Valentine's Day and has strange hallicinations (or is it real?). Sybil, a beautiful popular girl in Liz's class stirs up some jealous emotions. Scott, the boy who Liz likes, is paired up with Sybil to create a beautiful Valentine box. Being jealous, Liz "accidently" shoves Sybil and Scott while their substitue teacher, Mr. Bernstein takes their picture so that the box would be wrecked. Magically, or something of the sort, the four people are sucked into another strange, spooky world. There, Liz learns some lessons about life, such as what love is, and she also learns some things about herself. I can't really say much or it'll give away the ending, but I recommend reading this book! It's not the best book ever written, but it comes close! ;)

Very Enlightening
This book is about a boy who decides to volunteer at a nursing home where his friend (who is a girl) works. Gracie is a person who lives at the nursing home, and is truly a hoot! This story is both funny, and touching. It proves that trying new things can change your life. I read this when I was in grade school, and although I'm a lot older now, I've read it over an over again.
How to Drive Your Family Crazy...on Halloween

This story is okay...Michael
I think this is a great book for younger kids because it is not that scary, so it's okay. My favorite part is when they are in the basement. The book has a lot of imaginative details and some interesting facts. I think the book has a lot of information. I like the characters Lizzie and Booker. I think Lizzie is funny because she calls Booker a Booger. The setting is a floating house, could it be Lizzie's house? The problom is they are trapped by the witch. Read to find out what happens!
A Really Weird Halloween
A few days before Halloween, Lizzie gets a call home from the principal. Lizzie's parents did not know how to punish her so they made her take her brother Booger trick or treating. Lizzie didn't want to take but did anyway. She then finds alot of mist around where she is. She goes to the one house that has lights on. Its a witches house who has been following Lizzie. Booger takes a handful and the jack o lantern eats him. Lizzie is knocked unconcious and when she wakes up she is found in front of a floating house. She goes inside the house and the witch is going to make her go through obstacles to get her brother. The witch tells her where she can find her brother. After the witch is dead Lizzie finds her brother and is found in her own basement.
I recommend this book for anyone from age 7 and up. It is a very funny book.
This Story Is Good For Halloween! Yohannes
This story is outstanding because it has a lot of interesting details and Lizzie is funny when she calls her brother Booger. My favorite part was at the end of the story, but I'm not telling you what happens! The main characters in the story are Lizzie and Booger and Brian or "Mr. Electricity". The problem in this story is that Lizzie won't take Booger trick -or- treating with her. Lizzie really wants to go trick-or-treating with her friends, but her parents say she has to take Booger, or she can't go at all. The story is great, I think you should buy it!

We all understand
What is it like to be a pre-teen 6th grader. We can remember how awkward we were, clumsy we were, tongue twisted we were, terminally messy we were. Those of you out there who do not know...you were the lucky ones. Jake Stone is such a kid as well. He thinks of himself as a born-again loser with no admirable traits. He wishes that he could be someone else, heck, he wishes that he had a DOUBLE who was perfect and would never do the things that the real Jake does. Margery Wake is Jake's only friend. She has a phobia about getting her head wet and has not washed her hair in a long time. When Jake comes to her with a book called "Change Your Mind and You Can Change Your World" she laughs at the idea that with the power of your mind, you can change something physical; like washing her hair without water. Until something extraordinary happens. Nathan has arrived in town and he looks and sounds but doesn't act like Jake! He has come to stay with the Stone family and help in anyway he can. Nathan does everything the right way the first time and though that is a great thing at first...people start to forget Jake ever existed! In-fact they think Nathan IS Jake. Only Margery can help save Jake against fading away into nothing and to help him recognize his self worth before it is too late. I truly enjoyed this book. My only wish for this book was that Jake had truly realized the worth of himself and had been able to reflect and help the reader see that there are important things that the reader must see in themselves to recognize their worth as well.

Very intersting
When Booker and Elizabeth's father is gobbled up by a turkey everyone is dumbfounded. This book takes you through the adventure of the Thanksgiving disaster no one thought was possible. The strange turkey paper makes everyone suspicious and you'll laugh at Booker's humorous stunts. This book may have an odd story line but the wonderful writing makes any preteen anxious to read it!

Just Good Friends doesn't measure up to my expectations
The book Just Good Fiends was okay. There were good and bad things. It was a very detailed book and got right down to the point to where you could paint a picture. It deals with younger teenagers who are all good friends, boys and girls. And the boys don't understand the concept of having girlfriends untill they start to like one of thier best friends.
