EXCELLENT-A MUST READ
I read this book many years ago, and I absolutely loved it! I would like to have another copy of it again, and will try to get it through amazon.com! It is the kind of book that you will refer to for the rest of your life, "the glass pig theory", for instance! It is a one of a kind classic, and one that I "highly" recommend for one and all!

ESSENTIAL and a SCREAM
In the 70s, my dad took this book he found under my bed and tore it in half before my eyes! I've been searching for it for a while, since I became a "grownup" and cannot die happy until I find it. This book is the funniest thing I've ever read in my life. The shower curtain rod! *laugh* If you ever toked or wondered what it was like, you MUST READ THIS BOOK, it is innocent, charming, and a capsule of those lovely paranoid days. I would LOVE to read it again....

A GREAT BOOK- HUMOR AND INFORMATION AT THE SAME TIME.
MY FRIEND FOUND AN ORIGINAL COPY OF THIS GEM ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO AND WE STILL REFER TO IT ABOUT EVERYTHING WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SUBJECT OF "GRASS". IT MADE GETTING USEFUL INFORMATION A HELL OF A LOT OF FUN. THIS BOOK IS A MUST-READ FOR ALL BUDDHA LOVERS OUT THERE. IT PRACTICALLY CHANGED MY LIFE. PICK IT UP, I DEFINITLEY RECOMMEND IT.

This book really works!
I bought this book when it came out, in 1972. We entertained a great deal, and because I also worked full time, this fun book made putting on a large feast for a big gathering easy to do. People were always impressed that I could work and still put together a huge meal without being stressed! Amusingly written, the menues are both varied and unusual, and with the integrated preparation and cooking techniques which are described, really very easy to prepare. Each menu has a shopping list, with the price of the ingredients noted (a fun look back at prices, e.g. 5 lbs of boned lamb just $6.00, or a 12 ounce bottle of vegetable oil - 28 cents!), equipment required, then the step-by-step approach to putting the entire menu together in an hour. According to my handwritten notes on a few pages, some of the recipes were over-peppered, but I do know that they were quite good! The prices may change, but the flavours and techniques do not...a fun book for preparing a good meal for a crowd!

A must-have resource guide to drugs
A non-judgemental, non-advocatory guide to every recreational drug one is likely to encounter. Laid out in encyclopedia format, its entries include physical and psychological effects, lethal dosages, dependency information, and other known issues regarding each substance. Although a bit dated (Quaaludes are obsolete, for example, and the newer "designer drugs" aren't listed), it's still an amazing resource. If more people had been given this book instead of "Just say no," there would probably be a lot fewer drug-related deaths.

Children/Minors lend me your ears
I saw some people with this book when I was in 8th grade (14 years old). They said it was cool, and so I read it and it was one of the major influences in my life to become a complete DRUG ADDICT. I will never forget this book, or what it did for me (college flunkee, police record, generally spaced and useless...). Don't try pot, it makes you stupid - Jack and Richard forgot to tell you this (because they were stoned).

hysterically funny
This is my favorite book and my prized possession. Not only is it informative in a variety of ways - it is, as the title informs you, a Handbook for Marijuana Users - it is also deftly written in a lighthearted, goofy, tongue-in-cheek style that epitomizes late 60s and early 70s humor. While the sections on legality and availability are now incredibly out-of-date, the amount of fairly accurate information and the sly, good-natured sense of humor more than make up for its dated nature.

Great Book
My mother gave me this book so i would better understand the effects of grass... I loved it, it is one of the best books i have ever read! I learned a lot and laughed the entire time... a must read for anyone who wants to understand what happens with grass better.
