Although Maxwell Maltz is listed as the first author (he passed away in 1975), I know that Dan Kennedy has played a huge role in writing this book and making it happen. Dan Kennedy is currently President of the Psycho-Cybernetics Foundation and has been one of my success mentors for years. His wisdom is easy to follow - but more than that it is right on! I started out as an engineer and a very timid salesman. Dan Kennedy is has helped to change that. Because of him I know myself better, which has helped me to better serve others in my business. I guarantee that if you read this book you will be a changed person - it's that incredible.

Kennedy covers all of the proactive bases: smart thinking, system thinking, futuristic thinking, and positive thinking. If you are truly seeking the kind of success and abundance that makes your life 100% livable - you must read this book. I read the original Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz in the early 70's. I read it again last month and then read Bobbe Sommer's version. I think the original is better. Maltz keeps it simple and focuses on the subconscious as the primary goal seeking mechanism. I thought Sommer's book diluted the message with cross messages from other self help techniques. Maltz's method works great. It's simple and effective. It's not a self help book, it's a book about reprogramming yourself. Sommer seems to turn the science into a self affirmation exercise.

This book is so instrumental that I plan order additional copies for family and freinds.The results I have achieved are fascinating.The techniques are simple and effective but you must take action! Napoleon Hill founded the laws of success, Dale Carnegie taught us how to win friends and Maxwell Maltz taught us how to live it all. This book has in my opinion, what 99.9% of books will forever lack - and that's common sense. There is no need for hype, Maltz speaks the truth which is refreshing in this day and age. He teaches (and in my opinion was the first to teach) the art of compassion, self- respect, relaxation, forgiveness and the art of being a professional human being. In this book you will learn that it doesn't matter how many success principles you know, that if you really want to change you must do so through the self-image -the foundation for all success. It is a book filled with wisdom, humor and hope. So if you want to change and live a better life overall, then buy this book. Take a knife and cut through the diddle daddle and motivation found in those other so-called self-help books. After all, how many other authors have 33 million copies in print over a 40 year life span? BUY IT!

Dan Kennedy has done a brilliant job of giving Dr. Maltz's classic text a contemporary feel while remaining true to the original version.

I still have my 1974 Pocket Book edition of Psycho-Cybernetics and its ideas and insights helped me a lot in understanding life and success and how I could control my own destiny.

This updated version is even better! I especially liked the PRESCRIPTION and MENTAL TRAINING EXERCISE boxes that Mr. Kennedy has strategically placed throughout the book. They contain very clear suggestions and practical exercises for living an abundant and fulfilling life. For example, he prescribes keeping a "success diary" as a tool for building a stronger self-image. And on page 201, there is an powerful exercise for developing the all important habit of forgiveness.

One of the insights Dr. Maltz gave me that helped clarify my own life journey was his understanding that our unconscious minds cannot distinguish between a real experience and the same experience vividly imagined. Years later I found confirmation for this idea in Quantum Physics.

Nobel Prize winning Physicist Niels Bohr's Complementarity Principle shows us that the mental aspect of an imagined experience is complementary to its physical aspect. Both are equally 'real'. No wonder imagination and visualization are such valuable skills to master for anyone who wants to transform their dreams into physcial reality.

I wonder if Dr. Maltz and Dr. Bohr ever had a conversation!

Dan Kennedy has done a tremendous favor for anyone who wants knowledge and practical applications for being more successful. I applaud his efforts.

If I wasn't holding this book in my own hands, I wouldn't believe it... I've always thought the original book "Stood on it's own shelf" along with very, very few other books.

This updated version is even better... Sure, it's a book, but BOOK is the wrong word. Dan has inserted blocks of texts with small, manageable exercises that make the book much more useful. They make me stop, every so often, and reflect on what I've read... Makes you think, and stop the "Oh, yeah-yeah" effect I get when blasting through yet another book.

A brilliant update to a brilliant book. Get it, and read it.

Not only does this book tell you why, it tells you what to do about it if you want to change your habits. It is chock-full of examples and studies that prove the points.

It is easy to read and explains in an easy-to-understand way of why we do the things we do and how to make ourselves do the things we want to do.

Actually, I can't believe that the original book has been around for 40 years and I haven't read it. In fact, it kinda makes me mad that someone hasn't said, "Bill, you have to read this" a long time ago. This is awesome. There are action steps at the end of each chapter to tell you exactly how to implement each idea. It is even subtitled to make it easy to read and highlight for future reference. You have to read this!

Dan Kennedy did an incredible job updating the book to be meaningful for today's world, yet preserving the integrity of the original book. It reads like an original!

I believe the lessons I have learned from reading this book will take me to another level of accomplishment.
