I consider this book to be the reference on the development of the space suit.Heavy attention is paid to early high altitude flying suits. It includes work done by suit pioneers Haldane and Colley as well as David Clark. I feel this is a much better reference on space suits than the currently available book from the Smithsonian Institution entitled "U.S. Space Gear: Outfitting The Astronaut". I consider it a must for all aerospace enthusiasts.
