very helpful in many ways but lacks info on songs
this book was very helpful in many ways (including aquiring the gorons sword) but lacks much information on the songs

great but not
yeah -- great book -- too bad it defeats the purpose of PLAYING THE GAME. figure things out yourselves... it makes playing the game worth it. play to solve... not just to win.

IT is great for the hard things
I think the book is great and I had a lot of fun theres so much to do in this game you need a book like this I would like to say to the authors of the book NICE JOB GUYS ZELDA RULZ

This book is outdated.
This book must have been written a long time ago, becuase it only has Pokemon #1-151 (Mew is spelled Myu) and only has information on the Red/Blue/Yellow versions. There are three versions that don't have guides, and they are the gold/silver/crystal.

Interesting But Be Warned!
Be warned that this guide isn't accurate as it should be. For example, on one page it states that you have to win the Rainbow Badge to get the Bulbasaur from the Pokemon Collector in Pokemon Yellow. You only need the Cascade Badge which you get in Cerulean City.

Another problem is the sequential order they use for the walk through which makes following it difficult and confusing. It would be better to have a step by step walk through rather than one that was so confusing as to mislead the readers.

Besides these problems plus the map of one of the areas in the game being somewhat hard to read, the book is a fair read but my suggestion is that the buyer should be ware.

Tom's Review
I bought this book for my daughter for Christmas. We used it constantly when she played Pokemon Snap. Now we use it when she plays with Gameboy Blue/Red/Yellow. I like the extensive use of pictures. I also like the alphabetical listing of the Pokemon instead of the 1-151 number system. Highly recommended!

the unoffical work of Mark MacDonald and James Hogwood
I enjoyed the Final Fantasy VII: survival guide because of its details and writting format. It gives a great walkthrough of the game in a reader-friendly format. The illustations in this book let you see perfectly what the writters are talking about. Without a walkthrough of any role-playing game, you are bound to overlook several items throughout the game. This walkthrough is a perfect book to read if you want to get the maximum amount of enjoyment out of the wonderful game. While this book is not as well written as the offical walkthrough, it is a great, less expensive substitute.

Hey It didn't tell me how to defeat Ruby Weapon..
This is a good step by step guide to defeat Final Fantasy VII. Well, the game is so linear and there is no plot twist in this game.. However, in order to survive, you have to collect various type of material orbs. You can follow the guide book and save your time searching for all the material orbs. FF VII fanatics know that the ultimate challenge is to defeat Ruby Weapon.. This book doesn't give any hints on defeating this monster...

Final Fantasy VII Survival Guide
This is a great book! It's the ultimate resource for any Final Fantasy VII Player. Even if you don't need the help to beat the game, you can beat it on your own and then come back to this book and beat it with it to make sure you get everything. It has colorful pictures and very useful maps. It also has good tips on beating the bosses. I've gotten Level 99, 9999 hp, 999 mp, 3 mastered double cut materia, dead Emerald Weapon, dead Ruby Weapon, three gold chocobos, 3 master summons, 3 master commands, a master magic, and just about everything you would need to be virtually invincible! This book can help you get all this too!
