Essential Self-Knowledge Text
I highly recommend this volume. I consider this essential reading in the philosophy of mind/epistemology. The Wright essay here is actually fairly clear. But this text contains some classic material by Davidson and Burge, et. al.

Classical Gas
I'm sorry, but the empress is wearing no clothes. Pedantic gobbleygook suitable only for intellectuals and graduate students who want to word drop. One can only imagine the ego it took to compose this massive glob of intellectual wattle.

An excellent anthology.
This volume contains several seminal articles debating the status of connectionist explanations of psychological behavior. Anyone interested in the debate between classical symbolic explanations and connectionist models of human behavior will find this book interesting.

Before Poetry Became Twaddle
Reading Macdonald's poetry is like taking a Mensa quiz---it's an interesting intellectual exercise, but one devoid of passion or genuine emotion. Her poems remain marred by bad puns, and she mistakes the gynecological for genuine inspiration. An attempt at poetic formality further distances the reader away from the reality the poems attempt to reflect. Artifical, superficial, overwritten, and best buried, her "Living Will" arrives DOA.

EXQUISITE!
This is an exquisite, finely wrought book...as intelligent and passionate as any of the author's others...pay no attention to the scorpion jeaulousy of "Mr. Brady", who envies merely envies this fine poet's books...

Sweet amnesia
I can't remember why I bought this book! Macdonald's work gets more and more obscure, more in love with itself. Bad puns and attempts at classical poetic formality further distance the reader from what little true emotion there is in the poems. Stick with the early poems.

Breath of fresh air
This book arrived none too soon. My poetry collection was looking stale but reading this volume reinvigorated me and will be picked up again and again.

Half a Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Waste
Mind numbing tome is undoubtedly to be used as text book. Pedantic, long winded, and ill conceived, the book further insults its reader by costing a great deal of money. May it moulder unopened in university libraries.
