Good beginners book for adults.
I just began taking piano lessons on my own and I found this book to be very helpful. The lessons were very easy to understand and the choice of musical selections was just about right for any adult (no more "Mary Had A Little Lamb" please!")

I do wish that the book were longer (perhaps a series?).
