Practical advice you can use immediately!
After devouring this book, I immediately passed it to a client who is developing a speaking business. Lenny's book is full of real-life examples and practical tips for communicating clearly and powerfully. Whether you want to speak professionally or just communicate better in your day-to-day life, this is the book for you!

Valuable Practical Tips and Information
This book is a gold mine! It provides a ton of practice, easy to understand and easy to implement ideas. Lenny's style of writing is so conversation. Reading the book is like having Lenny speak to you one-on-one. The information is easy to understand and simple to use and the entire book is an easy read.

Great job!

AN EASY WAY TO ELOQUENCE
Throat dry and raspy? Hands damp and clammy, perhaps even a little shaky? Don't worry, chances are you're not coming down with the flu but simply about to speak in public. Why the majority of us are rendered incapable when standing before a group of faces, even loving ones, is a mystery.

However, there is no mystery about the help for our podium petrification found in "10 Days To More Confident Public Speaking" by The Princeton Language Institute. After listening and practicing the useful tips found in this audio many will be almost as eloquent as reader Peter McHugh!

Listeners are shown how to be laid back, be comfortable with their own unique selves, and, of great importance, given insider tips on establishing an instant rapport with an audience. Suggestions as to how to integrate humor abound, as well as memorization techniques. Once a speaker knows the words he or she wants are firmly in mind, there is an added comfort and confidence.

Whether you going to be up before a local historical society or a judge, 10 DAYS TO MORE CONFIDENT PUBLIC SPEAKING is an invaluable aid.

20 Minute Retreats....by Rachel Harris...THANK YOU !!
This precious book is not just another pretty face offering penny candy for a life gone awry. I was dealing with a serious health situation with my son, had disappointments with my birth family....many things building up and nowhere to hide. Well....What can I say...I did hope for some light, some help from this book as the cover alone is promising in this regard with the beautiful water lily inviting one to just turn the cover and get started. And getting started is so easy with the clear and gentle leading by Rachel Harris which is in complete opposition to what actually happens when one does turn past the cover. HEALING begins...soothingly and gently and lovingly. Thank you Rachel Harris for caring enough to share the best with those of us struggling with inner issues. I have just ordered two more copies for my two best friends...It IS that good!

Simple and Clear
Rachel Harris offers meditations on many different topics that are easy to find and simple to do. With the hustle and bustle of our lives today, it is hard to find time to fit 10 minutes in for peace, quiet and connecting to our spirit. Rachel Harris helps us finds that time.

Love It....
This book is wonderful. You are able to just goto wantever kind of retreat you need. So it is something you can do as you need not from beginning to end.

It's never to late to start
I've started using some of the recommendations on my 12 year old Golden & there is definately some improvement! (He seems younger now than he did a year ago).

A GREAT BOOK! Takes a week or two to start noticing improvements. Well laid out and concise.

No index at the back, so difficult to quickly reference info. However, book is well laid out so that once you're read it you have a good idea of where to find information.

Would be helpful if there was an "update" website - or some way of getting more current information - as science is always finding new information.

This is a must for blind who use dogs!
This is a must for blind who use dogs! when you are blind, you need your dog to be healthier than you. this book is not for blind poeple of course, but I found it helpful.

I found this book to be especially informative in revealing
This book is different from most herbal medicine books in that it plainly states what value the herb has in treating illnesses, and if the herb has no value, it is so stated. It is NOT a herbal remedy book, but if a herb will help, the book tells how and what dose to use.

Give your kids more than red and yellow plastic
Too bad this book is out of print!! I read this book avidly from cover to cover. As a parent I was disappointed by the plethora of plastic toys for babies and toddlers, especially things that used to be wood, metal or some other material when I was a child. Author Fisher writes concisely, giving good instructions (not easy to do in this pseudo "cookbook" for toys). One disappointment: some of the materials used frequently are not easily available where I live, so one needs to check local supply stores. For first-time parents this is also an excellent introduction to child development.

can i be the only one.....
i thought this book was funny as a kid, and i do mean a kid...about 4 or 5 years of age when i liked this book, thought it was silly, fun, even funny, and as a kid i thought hating everything was sorta grown-up. does that any sence- prob. not...any way i hid this book from my mom whom i stole it from and found it, again, one day while cleaning my room after getting back from 4 yrs of college...oh my god this book is dumb and i cant do anything with it!!! the dusk is caked on it and i'm sure it wouldnt do for a coaster...i was happy to see reviews for this book - but then it was the illustrater--by the way the pictures you draw are scary- and thats not cool slang--im very weired out by many pictures--why is the person backing away from hitting pac man with the axe-doesnt make scence--oh well i must be the only one. dumb book..but i liked it as a child so it cant be too bad--3 stars--dont ask me why.

I'm just not appreciated in my own time.
Hey, Mark, the guy with the axe is backing away from the big Pacman because he's scared the big pacman is gonna jump on him and beat him up - and as soon as I find out where you live, I'm going to give your address to Pacman so he can get you too!

Whaddya mean, "dumb book"!?

Alas, fine classical literature such as this volume, and artistic geniuses such as myself, are just not appreciated in this modern age. Sad, very sad.

Yours,

L. Lief

P.S. Hey, what the heck, at least four year olds laugh at my jokes.

This is a book to treasure always
This is a book to treasure, carry always, study daily, and pattern your life upon. All of the great literary classics of the past and present pale in comparison with I Hate Cubes. No mere human words can describe the towering magnificence of this timeless classic! P.S. Four stars? Hmphh! From now on I shall prefer to write all my own reviews of my own books! I find that method most satisfactory! -Larry Lief

One great book
This really is a complete book. It contains an index of recipes by ingredient and by type as well as clear instructions for thousands of drinks. .

One of the best resources for making mixed drinks!
This book is a must have! The entire book is layed out perfectly! The recipies are very easy to read and they're well layed out. They're alphabatized as well as the index and the glossary. The table of contents breaks the book down into catagories from stocking your bar, party drinks, to nonalcoholic drinks. Beginning with a list of mixers, 'Odds and Ends', measurements in ounces, standard bar measurments, and garnishes. Included is a section on 'Bartender's Secrets' that gives tips and tricks the professionals use to make drinks such as choosing glassware and how to open a bottle of wine.

One very important point discussed is the importance of being responsible while drinking and also on being a responsible bartender. Included is a body weight chart giving the ratio of weight to the number of drinks a person consumes and how long it takes the body to matabolize it.

One of my favorite parts is the index because it makes the art of bartending professionally or unprofessionally much simpler taking a lot of the guess work out. If you don't know what to make with that bottle of flavored liqueur or you want to use some wine just go to the index and it will give you a list of drinks that can be made using whatever kind of alcohol you have. For anyone watching their calorie intake the book also includes an Index of Low-calorie Drinks.

I agree that this book would greatly be improved if it were spiral bound and was somehow protected so it would avoid liquid damage. I wonder....since it's so thick, making it a bit bigger, allowing more space for text and minimizing the amount of space the recipies take up on each page, in turn minimizing the depth, would make it easier to spiralbound it. Other than that this is an outstanding resource guide!

Best book (I've seen) for behind the bar
Working in the tourist area of San Francisco, we get drink requests from people who are visting from all parts of the world. This was the only book we used out of four, and now that a parting bartender has made a momento of this one we either already know the drink or can't find it. It may be a bit light in other areas, (I never checked) but if you need a 'drink dictionary' behind the bar, get this one. Then give your boss the receipt and tell him to cough it up.
