A Blueprint for Joy and Success
The Energy of Life is a book that will change your life for the better, whether you are currently in the depths of despair or at the pinnacle of your success.
Barbara and Jimmie have written a book that interesting and fun to read. Most importantly, it is a book that gently but firmly leads the reader to honestly evaluate his/her responsiblity in creating a joyful, abundant life. What I liked best about The Energy of Life is the completely non-judgemental way that the authors helps you dig into some very sensitive areas of your being in order understand why we are where we are and what we can do to change that.

What made The Energy of Life authentic for me is the way that Jimmie and Barbara weave their own personal examples into the book to illustrate each chapter's principles. They hold nothing back, positive or negative. I felt completely at ease trying to be honest about my own consciousness knowing that Barbara and Jimmie had been down that path before me.

Rediscovering Your Core
Rediscovering Your Core

This book is a tool for peeling back the layers of false beliefs that you have accumulated through out your life. An awakening of your core can be the result. If growth is your path this book can offer insight to obstacles in your way.

I am privileged to know the authors of this text. They live their lives according to their work. They have and will continue to have a profoundly positive impact on my life. They live a life and have a relationship that others told me did not exist. I am truly blessed to know them.

THE SWEETNESS OF CHANGE
The Energy of Life is a book about you and me: how to change you and me; how to create a new you and me. Many, many lives have been touched, and thus changed, through the principles offered in The Energy of Life. Using The Energy of Life as a text and guide, my teaching ministry, Pan-African Metaphysical Center, has offered class after class after class, helping individuals to know themselves better and to become open to a deepened awareness and understanding of living life through the principles taught in this book.
Each class is a series of 2-hour gatherings once a week for 7 weeks, and the class serves as a springboard for miraculous realizations and in-depth changes for every participant.
In the years since the first publishing date of The Energy of Life, 10 such class series have been made available through this teaching ministry. And each new class brings more and more individuals seeking - and finding(!) - a new empowerment through self-awareness and self-responsibility.
When the authors speak about "Uncovering the Iceberg", for instance, they offer clarity about false beliefs, and new realizations about how to overcome these. From one idea to the next, simplicity of presentation is the key that moves this book into that special category of universal acceptance.
The Energy of Life speaks to everyone and is understood by all - no matter what the age or life experience. The active, excited participation of the variety of individuals enrolled in these classes - from high school seniors to senior citizens - supports the awareness that The Energy of Life is profound in its simplicity. What more need be said!

Favorite Book of Both My Boys
My first child, "Big Brother" (now 8), had to read this one every night at bedtime. After 2 years of use, we nearly wore out the binding and bought another copy. Now "Little Brother", age 2, is working hard to wear out that one, too, insisting on it every night as well. The book is very simple, with a comfortable, familiar bedtime routine. Illustrations go well with the simple text, and the child in the pictures could easily be either a boy or a girl. I've also bought this as a gift for other new parents. I'm disappointed to see it's now out of print. I plan to save this one for both boys, to give to them when they become parents themselves - it's so special to each of them, it's a family keepsake!

will become your child's favorite bedtime book for years
Children love routines, and this beautiful little book shows the nightly routine of mom & dad getting the baby (could be boy or girl) ready for bed. Long before our son could talk, he could recognize himself as the baby in the story, and would point at all the pictures in the book. Denise Lewis Patrick's drawings are wonderful. It is now my daughter's favorite book, and I buy it for every 2 parent household welcoming the arrival of a first baby.

Good Night, Baby
The story is simple...the illustrations are cute, and that's why our kids insisted on it being read to them every night. The story is about getting ready for bed--taking a bath, putting on your jammies, and reading a story. The baby in the story cannot go to sleep until he finds his favorite toy(a bunny) which is something every child and parent can relate to and therefore makes the story so appealing. Sometimes, the most simple stories are the best. This one has become our children's favorite story from their early childhood.

The Real Miracle

Authors: Barbara Lewis and Jimmie Lewis
Amazon base price: $11.95

This is one of the best books out there. Get it.
I found many parts of this book to be like summaries of the most essential concepts I have learned on my spiritual journey -- passages that would pull it all together for me. Often, I was able to get a fuller grasp of what I thought I already understood, and the authors always offered ways to live that truth. My other favorite authors include Neale Donald Walsch, Debbie Ford, Eckhart Tolle and James Twyman.

Love and Inspiration
The Real Miracle is a book that challanged the way I looked at life and myself. As I journeyed with Babara and Jimmie I learned a lot about how to handle and view life's problems. The Real Miracle teaches you that the ability to see and produce miracles is inside each and everyone of us. Because of God's help and love we are all miracles.

Enlightenment Earned the Hard Way
The authors discovered that their path to enlightment included not only prayer, reflection, and quiet meditation, but also a trip to Wall Street. They generously share their real world experiences, both the good and the bad, in The Real Miracle; and they also share the lessons they learned. In these experiences, they discover a profound spiritual truth to take with them on the next part of their journey. If you have faced fear, discouragement, and doubt, you will understand the importance and value of the lessons they learned. Those lessons and the truth they discovered are what The Real Miracle is all about.

This book was awesome!!!
This book is by far one of my favorites. A very encouraging book looking at your positive traits. A great way to improve your self-esteem and help others. This book is jam-packed with great things that are good for the soul. I highly recommend this book to everyone; even grown-ups. It is also a great book because it also tells you websites or books you can check into to gain more knowlege about a certain topic. I totally enjoyed this book, and it has helped me a lot!

What every kid (adult) should read
What a well organized, motivational book on defining a person's character. Feeling like courage, friendship, integrity, empathy, caring, etc... For each term the author gives an story-like example and defines the meaning of the feeling, then gives examples and role playing questions of how to respond to ethical questions. A GREAT tool for parents and children. Plus websites and additional resources to understand terms. A wonderful book for parents to make sure their children have the character and responsivness to handle the world's problems. :>) GREAT BOOK! KUDDOS to the Author! I also recommend the American Girl Books as well.

What Do You Stand For?
This is an exceptionally well written book. The author explains ethics in such a way that children can truly grasp the meaning. Each section contains a story about character in action, character dilmmas, activities, and additional resources on the topic. I highly recommend this to all parents.

If you have an ERISA problem and don't know where to start..
Ok. I already feel odd writing a review of this book. The anticipated audience is incredibly narrow and if you found this review, you probably know what you are looking for. However, I think this is one of the greatest books. As a law student who is planning on specializing in ERISA, this book has been an invaluable resource to me. It is the first place I turn when I have an ERISA question to research. It won't provide all the answers but puts a very complex statute into perspective. It would also benefit the non-lawyer who might be involved in benefits.

Hospital
An absolutely fascinating unvarnished first hand look at one of the premier institutions of medicine. Recommended reading to all who are in medicine or contemplating a career in the medical field. Clearly portrays those whom are truly devoted to the CARING of the sick and also clearly and dramatically demonstrates the disparity in our health care system. Most importantly, Ms. Lewis provides a look at our health care system from EVERYONE involved- Housekeepers, patients, nurses aides, all the way to the executives.
