Stevie Nicks was right, Good book for the anglophile!
The name Rhiannon and Ms. Nicks' description caught my ear. The story captured my heart and made my imagination work overtime.

Stevie Nicks read this book and based "Rhiannon" on it!
I just thought I would let everyone know that Stevie Nicks read this book and based her song "Rhiannon" off one of the characters in the book. I have not read the book (yet) but I thought you would all enjoy that piece of trivia connected to this book!

Offers the first gendered analysis of Israeli society
In Israel And The Daughters Of The Shoah: Reoccupying The Territories Of Silence, Israeli-born Ronit Lentin offers the first gendered analysis of Israeli society and the Shoah survivors of the European holocaust of World War II. Offering a new and insightful perspective, this gendered analysis of Israeli construction of nation reveals how the Shoah and Shoah discourse are exploited to justify Israel's self-perceived right of occupation. This justification not only negated the Jewish diaspora, but also stigmatized and feminized Shoah victims and survivors, while at the same time employing Shoah discourses as an excuse for territorial occupation in the past, and provides a framework for understanding some of the complex historical and political underpinnings to the Israeli/Palestinian confrontations of the present day. Israel And The Daughters Of The Shoah is an impressive, scholarly, and highly recommended contribution to Israeli and Judaic studies.
