Deserves 10 stars
I am 69 years old, read almost constantly and just discovered Ms Leahy in August of this year. Circle of Love is the fourth of her very few books, unfortunately. It is so good, you do not want it to end. Anna and Anton are such wonderful characters, I am surprised that Hollywood has not discovered their love story. Maybe they have and I am in the dark. Get it, you will not be disappointed. Anne in North Carolina

Fabulous
I have read and reread this book over the past ten years. I only wish this author's other books weren't also out of print. If you can find a used copy of this book, I highly recommend that you buy it. This book is definitely a keeper. This is the story of Anna Klienberger and Anton Pietrovic. On her way to search for her missing parents at the end of WWII, Anna meets Anton, a Polish underground fighter who has just been released from a German prison camp and is now searching for his wife and children. They spend just a few days together in an abandoned farm house, but are haunted by their memories of their time together. This is a beautiful story--both of an enduring love and of the displacement felt by Holocaust survivors as they adjust to life in America and the loss of their loved ones following the war.

Riveting!! Excellent!! I can't put it down!!
This is an excellent reading experience...filled with European history and charm, as well as American experiences...

Did you have a crush on someone or a love affair back in high school that you occassionally wonder... what if? What if you looked him or her up? What if you get back together? What are they thinking about the past relationship? Ms. Leahy explores all of that and more (family ties, German history, independent women) in this novel.

I can't put it down and I find myself thinking about it all day at work.

I had just finished another book that was also excellent and it was one of those experiences where you look for something else that takes the place and nothing seems to....well, this did.

You'll love it.

A Book of Ruth
The focus of this book is the perspective of a Jewish woman named Ruth, reluctantly involved an unplanned romantic relationship with a Catholic priest.

The feelings of her Jewish relatives and friends and their opposition to any relationship with a non Jew are also explored as well as the struggles the priest is going through as he is trying to decide whether to leave the church to continue the relationship.

I found the book enjoyable, very readable and the characters very well drawn and human.

A wonderfull book
I read it again, and again and again.
Two people who seem so far and yet slowly grow so near.
It is not only of two but a whole modern life around them, and past and different backgrounds.
A very rich book.
