Must-Read for Teens With Terminally-Ill or Suicided Parent
I read this book because my 12-year-old only-child male godchild's father has a brain tumor and I wondered if this book might address any issues that he is facing. It does; in a beautiful and uplifting way that makes its dying father-character's suicide understandable and a kind of affirmation of life. It also treats with unsentimental compassion the mother's denial that the man she has held at the center of her world could be dying.

This story throws together the father and only-daughter characters in the crucible of the father's terminal illness in such a way that they finally connect and she accepts the humanness of her parents while *blossoming out of* her own perfectionism and fear to risk being human herself. Heartwarming. Moving. Courage-inspiring.

I read it straight through in one sitting. Compellingly written!

I was moved to tears toward the end, not by sadness but because I identify with the courage and vulnerability it takes to be human and to accept the limitations and recognize the oh-so-human, flawed love that we earthlings bring to our life-journeys.

Must Read Novel for Teens
This has got to be the best book I've ever read. It's really deep, and sometimes depressing. I feel for Sienna. It's one of the only books I was ever really in to. Great great great book. I love it.

The best book you'll probaly ever read
I picked up this book by chance while wandering around my local library for a good book. Though I enjoy the romance genre more than others, this book touched me so much and had me crying so much from beginning to end. This book is for anyone especially for people who feel that they're parents don't love them cause as you'll read that your parents always love you they just have trouble showing sometimes as the main charcter of this book discovered. Go Pick up this book! Trust me it's amazing!

I definately recommend this book.
I would recommend this book to anyone thinking about going into show business. It gives the little details that you might not find many other places. It tells you everything you will ever need to know. The interviews with the stars and their parents are great! Especially Shawn Toovey!

This book has interesting information about child stars.
If your dream is show business, read this book. Some child stars share thier acting expriences. The interviews are by some well-known child stars. My favorite interview I read was Paul Sutera ( Brady Bunch Movies}. It was one of the interesting Interviews in the book. I always been interested in his career. It also include interviews from Olivia Hack (Brady Bunch Movies), Angela Watson (Step by Step), and Shawn Toovey (Dr. Quinn,Medicine Woman). It also includes tips on everything you need on how to become an actor. I think kids will be interested in this book.

Letters to Cupid
I loved this book it really help me figure out love! It really reminded me of me talking to my friends about the same subject, laughing and giggling about it. This book is about a girl named Bridgett who just turned 13 years old, she once to find love in her complex life, Bridgett decides to look for it by doing a school report about it. She keeps seaching for true-love, and finds a mysterious sercet about her parents relationship. Bridgett also has a mishap with her older brother and his future wife. She searches in books, movies, internet and more, she conducts interveiws through the phone in a different voice. She writes letters to cupid describing her journey along the way, somewhat like a diary. This book was excellent and even though Bridgett went through sad stuff. And some hard to cope with stuff. Bridgett still keeps trying to figure love out. and I really liked that about her. I would reccomend this book to 11-13 year old girls. Who enjoy stories about life, friendship, happiness, and of course love. Try It!!! I am sure you will enjoy it!

Megan and Ariel
I saw the movie on the Disney Channel and taped it because i LOVED it so much. The movie is about a 14 year old girl named Megan LArson who loves windsurfing and a boy named Cutter. Then Ariel Cola comes into the picture. She is blonde and pretty, but does not understand " this strange place called Earth". While her father, Cosmo Cola is enjoying earth life, Ariel longs to be a bubble once again, and be Sueza of Circalon, with her beloved Phinool by her side. But things go haywire and Kathy LArson and Cosmo Cola fall in love, putting Megan's and Ariel's lives into one chaotic ride. The girls soon decide that the only thing to do is to break up their parents, and when plan after plan don't work to split up the parental units, Megan and Ariel began to like each other. To complicate things even further, when the horrible Emperor from Circalon comes to freeze Cosmo, his son Phinool finds himself falling for Megan, and Cutter finds himself falling for Ariel. This is a must see movie for kids and grownups alike. Please see this if you get a chance!

Someone To Love
The book I read was called Someone To Love by Francess Lantz. It's a young adult novel about a girl with odd parents over their decision to adopt a baby, fifteen year old Sara finds herself drawn to the birth mother, who is having second thoughts about giving up her child.
What struck me that is so different about others books I have read is that I always read mystery books and romantic books I have never read a adoption book or a young adult book. None of the books that I read were similar.
" I love being the youngest child why do u have to adopt another child so that baby will take my place thats not fair," said Sara. My reaction compares to this because I am the youngest child and my parents were going to adopt a child but ai told them about my feelings and they understood so we never adopted one so that's how this qoute supports me.
I think this book is not for everyone it could be but I don't think it as to be because this book is about adoption so whoever wants to adopt a baby heres a book you should read. I think this book is great only for those who wants to adopt a baby.

Love of a Family
Someone To Love
By: Francess Lantz

This is a fascinating story of a middle class family that wanted to adopt a baby from a poverty stricken unwed mother. This couple had everything to offer a baby. They were strict parents to their fifteen years old daughter Sara. Sara want to adopt Iris baby as much as her parent did but for different reason. She thought if her parents had a baby to look after they would have less time to be in her business. As the story unfolds, the couple's teenage daughter Sara envies the pregnant teenager lifestyle and want to be like her, and Iris wanted to have the life style that Sara had. After overhearing the couple discussing not wanting Iris around, the two girls ran off together. They both realize this was not the thing to do and they need the couple's help to get though the pregnancy and the birth of Iris baby. This is a great story about adoption and the love of a family. This book would be interesting to students in the seventh grade and above. Parents and teacher could use this book to promote the study of social relation, science, art, geography and health.

Someone to Love
In the story "Someone to Love" by Francess Lantz, Sara, on of the main characters who is 15 is an only child. Sara's parents are really strict. Her parents decided that they wanted to adopt a baby. At first Sara feels bad because she thinks that she isn't good enough and thats why her parents want another baby. Later she realizes that maybe that her parents will give all the attention to the baby and they'll stop being so strict. so she agrees with it. Iris is an 18 year old girl who has very little money and is pregnant and decides that giving the baby up for adoption would be the best thing to do. Sara envies the freedom that Iris has and Iris envies the safe home Sara has. This story is written in diary format, Sara isn't writing to her diary, but to the "mystery baby", who is Iris' unborn baby. Even though we only get to hear Saras thoughts, the author still explores all sides of adoption. I would recommend this book to anyone because it keeps you interested and has a vey good plot I rate this book a 5 out of 5.

Lights! Camera! Love!
Overall I really did like this book. Although it is very predictable, towards the end you are in for a surprise. I did not put this book down the whole time. I recommend this book for a 12 or 13 year old girl who enjoys book with romance and a little bit of suspense. At times in this book I found myself confused, but don't worry it will all come together towards the end. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!

Pretty stupid
This book is totally unreal. It is not very well written either. The plot is about two girls who read an advice columm for teens, so therefore are very excited about getting to meet her. Then they find out she's not perfect in every way, so they try to change her life so people will like her. One includes sneaking into her house. Like they wouldn't get in trouble! like I said, unreal.

Fun
I finished this book in one day. It has a great ending to a great story! You get a great view from a teen's point of view.
