Absolutely Amazing
I've read this book twice, and I will most likely read it again in the near future. I have to admit I'm not a big fan of romance novels, but this is good. I accidentally stumbled upon this book while cleaning my basement shortly after I moved to a new house; there were about 20 books the last people who lived there must've forgotten. That accident opened up the doors to a new wonderful story. My only complaint is that I wanted it to never end. The book is almost 500 pages long and I managed to finish it all in two days. Great story, you can never get enough of. Highly recommended

Elusive Love happens to be one of those rare books, in which you keep hoping they meet but somehow never do. The ending is great! I generally prefer books with more mystery than romance - however, this book is definitely a keeper!

Stupendous
I applaud, I am awed, I kneel, (to the spirit of this book). The only crime is its limited circulation, and I have to wonder why. Wings kept me riveted from beginning to end. It was a wonderful book by which to start the new Mill. To Catherine I can only say thank you, and despite the limited cir., that somehow it will reach many people to help them understand their destiny, and the correct information of the helping spirits who are with us daily to guide and love us still.

She's done it again!
I am in awe of Catherine Lanigan's talent as a writer. She really has a gift to keep one clued to the pages. This novel, like all the others will keep you awake all night as you tell yourself, just one more page. It's just amazing to me that she keeps pumping out great novels, one right after the other! I'm sure that man upstairs is guiding her pen, especially with this one. You won't be sorry if you indulge in this book, it's a real (spiritual) treat.

Captivating family saga
The unabridged audiotape narrated by Anna Fields is absolutely wonderful. This story is so complete and entertaining I didn't want it to end. I recommend it to all romantic-adventure enthusiasts - it has it all, and more.

FINDING YOUR POWER
I AM ONE OF THE CONTRIBUTORS OF THIS BOOK. I HAD NOT READ ANY OF THE OTHER STORIES UNTIL THE BOOK CAME OUT. IT WARMS MY HEART TO SEE THAT SO MANY OF US NOT ONLY MADE IT OUT, BUT REACHED HEIGHTS IN OUR LIVES WE COULD NEVER EVEN DREAM OF BEFORE. THIS BOOK SHOWS US ALL THERE IS HOPE. IT INSPIRES THE READER WHO MAY NOT BE THERE YET THAT THEY CAN DO IT TOO. WE HOLD THE POWER LADIES--AND THE EVOLVING WOMAM IS PROOF!

If you need hope......look no further!
What determination it has taken for the individuals who contributed to this book. It shows that they had the courage to overcome their own personal situation and achieve where they are in life today. What an inspiration to those that still need the hope. I know, for I am one of the "survivors"!

Chicken Soup for the woman's soul
This book is a must read for all women. It's packed with inspiration for all people still stuck in abusive relationships. All these women made it out and have a good life to show for it. It's a great read!

Captivating - Couldn't put it down!
My first novel by Catherine Lanigan, but certainly not my last. This book was well written, easy reading and didn't bog you down with too many characters at the very beginning of the book. It was good, clean reading and wasn't chocked full of explicit sex scenes and profanity. I picked up this book at every opportunity I had to find out the "rest of the story." If you like romance and drama - this is the book for you. Finding other books by this author is at the top of my "to do" list and I can't wait to get started on another one. I loved the bio in the back of the book where her college professor told her she would never earn a living as a writer. Ten best selling books later and two movies to her credit isn't too shabby. I am glad she didn't let her professor's stupidity discourage her from fulfilling her dream. Way to go

Mainstream fiction at its' most enjoyable
In a wealthy suburb of Chicago, ostensibly affluent Bud Pulaski sees no other way out of his current predicament except suicide, which he commits. Thirty-eight year- old Roya, his grieving spouse of twenty years is further shocked when Kitt Cabrizzi, Bud's mistress for almost four decades, announces who she is at the funeral. Her parents offer Roya no help as they can't deal with the suicide. Roya's life spins even further out of control when she sees how in debt the family truly is.

As Roya begins to salvage her life and that of her teenage children, she realizes that she trusts no males after learning the devastating secrets hidden by her allegedly beloved husband before he took his life. As she straightens out her own life and supports her children during their time of need, Roya depends on no one else. However, that does not stop her from falling in love with Nick Petros and also having to contend with a vengeful Kitt, who blames everyone but herself for all she lost with the death of her beloved Bud.

Catherine Lanigan scribes a brilliant relationship drama that has a unique twist in the central story line that links everyone to the man who has killed himself. Thus, the story line hinges on how various females behave while coping with a sudden and violent death, especially since they are unable to confront him with the repercussions to his choices, including the suicide. IN LOVE'S SHADOW is a great contemporary women's fiction novel that is sure to garner awards for the remarkable Ms. Lanigan who vividly demonstrates how women can, through adversity, empower themselves.

Fantastic!
This has to be one of my favorites. I have read it at least 4 times. I never tire of Jarod and Valentine. I love the different oils she uses and the way Ms. Lanigan uses the different recipes of scents. I can't wait for the sequel.

angels among us
Her book has inspired me to keep searching within myself for the truth for I know that the all powerful creative force in the universe is conscious and is most definitly watching out for me. For when the days are darkest it is then that we will be able to more clearly see the light. And the angels are one of many who long for us to see the light. Yet one must remember that not all angels are on the side of love but with love we as humanity are more powerful than evn the most powerful angel.

Goddess Bless:) Ryan.

OUR SPIRIT LIVES ON...IF WE TRULY BELIEVE
For those who believe in or are open to the "afterlife", this book is highly recommended. With roots firmly planted in Buddhist Philosophies, I personally believe we live many lives and for that reason, "Angel Watch" was a fascinating read.

After losing someone close to us, I think we all look for a sign that their spirit is still with us, even though not all of us would publicly admit it. That is not to say I believe in psychics, for me personally I do not; however, I definitely do believe that this life is only part of the journey. When my mother passed away suddenly, twenty years ago, it was my first experience with the death of a family member. As a stood by the casket for a brief moment in complete privacey at the funeral home, I ventured to whisper, "please give me a sign that you are here," Call it fate or coincidence, all it whatever you choose, at that sudden moment one single white rose fell from the casket to the floor...in my mind, my question was answered. I have had two separate, similar instances following the passing of animal companions, who each shared over ten years of my life. No one will ever convince me that we do not live on after our journey on this Earth is over.

"Angel Watch," while not necessarily all about angels, is a beautifully written book, all about "signs" and believing. For anyone who has ever lost anyone dear to them, I hope you will find a measure of comfort in this book.

An Intriguing Spiritual Autobiography
As the author is a best-selling novelist, it is understandable that some people, like the previous reviewer, are not sure where to draw the line between fact and fiction. One might suspect that Lanigan, being a talented fiction writer, knows how to embellish simple, everyday experiences and turn them into entertaining stories. This was my initial reaction after reading the first few of the 53 short stories in this book. But story by story, Lanigan builds credibility and emerges as a sincere, spiritually-evolved woman. "Some of you may feel they are just too strange or bizarre to be believed," she writes in the Introduction. "The incidents happened exactly as portrayed here. Your interpretation of the event might vary from mine, but the facts of the occurrence are precise."

All 53 stories involve the author, members of her family, or close friends. They include near-death experiences, deathbed visions, past-life regressions, clairvoyance, clairaudience, faith healing, ESP, precognitive dreams, apparations, and automatic writing. The skeptic or the fundamentalist will scoff at most or many of them, perhaps calling some of them mere coincidences, but anyone with an open mind, especially those who have become familiar with the operations of other dimensions of reality, will understand and appreciate these stories. The story of her father's NDE and deathbed visions is especially interesting, intriguing and inspiring.

As Lanigan mentions, most of us are too busy "running helter-skelter" in our everyday activities, too busy just surviving, to take note of the magic or divine influences in our lives. The purpose of the book, she says, is "to lift the blinders from our eyes and reveal the divine ballet performed between humans and angels."

This is not really an angel book, per se. It is one woman's observations relative to psychic phenomena. It may not be for the person who has his or her "blinders" strapped on tightly, but those who have shed their blinders will find it entertaining and validating, while those who have their blinder on only loosely might find it an "eye-opener."

There could have been more
This is my first Lanigan book, and to be honest, I was disappointed. Although the author has a great story to tell, I felt like a rock skipping across the pond of what was truly there. The wording was short and choppy, almost elementary. I found myself trying to add more to the story to fill in what I found lacking. Karen, the heroine, finds herself blooming (a little late in life) in the arms of two men. The road blocks she faces in trying to develop a romantic relationship and the twists and turns of trying to sell her "save the world" software and are quick and superficial with a silly end.

A technically flawless production.
Blessed with brains and beauty, Karen has created Mastermind - a computer program that can change the world. It has already changed hers. Suddenly she has a life beyond the computer screen, and two men want to share it. Life should be perfect, but it's not. Someone wants Mastermined and will kill to get it. No one is safe and everyone's a suspect -- including the people Karen loves most! Catherine Lanigan's Tender Malice is a tautly written novel. This highly recommended unabridged audiobook edition is superbly narrated by Anna Fields and would prove a popular addition to any community library collection.

An intiguing mix of feminis and romance
Ever since she was a little girl, Karen Cieve knew she was different. She always felt like a square peg trying to live on a round world. Her superior intelligence has kept her from simply conforming to and interracting with her peers. For years, Karen has worked closely with her father on developing advanced computer technology. At twenty-six, Karen has moved into her own home and perfected Mastermind, a software program that keeps hackers from penetrating a protected program and even catches them in the act.

Karen needs an investor to open up her own computer company. However, the corporate world is unwilling to invest millions in her revolutionary new project. That is no one is interested until Karen meets Lucas Tanner, CEO of Falcon Industries, who is willing to subsidize her. Karen finds herself very attracted to Lucas, but questions whether his interest in her is as a person or to gain control of and illegally use Mastermind.

TENDER MALICE is a fabulous journey into a carnival fun house where distortion is reality and reality is distorted. Catherine Lanigan entertains her audience with a thriller that includes wonderfully developed characters who grow as the story line progresses. For instance, Karen matures from a meek, apprehensive girl into a strong-willed woman, who fights for what she wants. Ms. Lanigan has created a special work that embodies the essence of the female spirit.

Suprisingly twisted
The book is a definate week-end read. It draws you in...once you think you've got it all figured out and then it all changes. Lanigan does a superb job with character development. There are characters that you really want to hate but then you can't because she proves that none us are exactly what we seem and that we are all victims of circumstance.

Definatley a suprise ending - you don't get the gest of the title until then...

This was my first Lanigan book and I really enjoyed it!
