I love the way the author moves from fantasy to reality in Johnny Voodoo. It's like a real-life story, very believable. The emotions in the book really pulled me into the book as I read it. It's that powerful! A great recommendation from one young adult to others.

I always seem to come back to this book and read it over and over again. The compelling atmosphere of love and utter revoltion combined with delicious details sucks me right into the story and I REALLY wish I was there. It's like I can smell the damp woods, it's wonderful! Too bad she had to have a father to spoil it all...

I love this book. The language is so rich and captivating. I can almost see myself there, and I can completely relate to Deidre. I've read this book three times since I got it two weeks ago. I tear through it, it's so good. I love Johnny, too, and the whole experience Deidre goes through is so heartbreaking and easy to relate to. If anyone who reads this enjoyed this book, too, I recommend reading any books by Francesca Lia Block, as well, because her characters are just as loveable and her imagery is spectacular, as well.
