Wonderful intro into Dara Joy!!
I loved this book. It was great fun reading it. I wished it never ended. Steamy love scenes and great characters. I will try to get my hands on anything by Dara Joy from now on. Who doesn't want a sexy, smart man like Tyber. This was pure take me away Calgon reading!!

Recommend it
Fantastic Story in High Energy. Wished it didn't end. Laughed out loud.

Definitely Non-Linear!
HIGH ENERGY - Zanita Masterson, reporter for a small-town newspaper owned by her grandpa, is tired of the brainless assignments she's given and wants to get something with more pizazz. So she goes to sign up for a psychic healing class thinking to do a story on it and ends up in a physics class instead. (Zanita can't spell.) The instructor is none other than world-reknowned Tyberius Augustus Evans, hunk extraordinaire'. He sees Zanita and he's hooked. Zanita and Tyber are two people with a mission...Zanita to get her story and Tyber to get Zanita. ONly Zanita has sworn off men. A light and amusing story. The secondary characters are terrific...Zanita's friend "Mills" is a babe in her own right and we meet a possible match for her, but Zanita's "Auntie" is the star, with three hats and an attitude. I can't tell you enough good things about it. Read it!

Sweet Fortune

One of JAK quirky best!
Jessie Benedict lived her childhood with a workaholic father that was never there. Oh, she was grandly provided for, but he always missed recitals, was never there for the school fairs. This shows as well in the man's two failed marriages, the ex-wives known affectionately as "the Moms" by Jessie and her half-sister. But there is a wolf on the prowl, one Jessie underestimates - Hatchard, her fathers right hand man, as far as Jessie is concerned,is a chip off the old block, so to speak. Another drive workaholic bent on filling her fathers shoes in business. He wants Vincent's business, but he might want his daughter more, but Jessie is far from convinced and is fighting the families assumption two will marry. Even "the Moms" assume this will happen.

Jessie spent her girlhood being disappointed and hiding that hurt, so she is determined her Father not do the same to her young half-sister, but she is more determined NOT to marry a man just like dear old Dad. Oh, she is wildly attracted to Hatch, but she fears her life would end with another series of being second place to the business that her father build. And she is quite set that history not repeat itself, not for her little sister, nor for her in marriage.

Being rebellious against her father, she has failed to turn out to be a business person and currently is determined to become a private investigator, by helping an old lady who is a psychic and rescuing a teenage girl from a dangerous cult. Much to her surprise, Hatch shows signs of being just a shade different than daddy. Instead of patting her on the head and ignoring her new 'business', he becomes a strong ally in helping Jessie handling her father to see the younger sister does not go through the same disappointments as Jessie to he helping smooth things for "the Moms" who always use to Jessie to run interference with Vincent, and he even supports and aids her investigations.

JAK gives you her quirky dysfunctional families that seem to function, you seen in so many of her books. The relationships are wonderful, warm and humorous, and Hatch and Jessie will steal a place in your heart.

A wonderful JAK gem!!

Another good read
Another great story from Ms.Krentz.A definite re-read

This is the first JAK I ever read and it is terrific!
This is the first book by JAK I ever picked up, don't know how I had missed out on her before. Please do yourself a favor and pick up this book and her other early single title mainstream romances such as Golden Chance, Silver Linings etc. Now having gone back and read much of her earlier work as well as her more recent hard covers, it is IMHO that with these books that JAK really hit her stride. Sweet Fortune is great, as are Perfect Partners and Family Man--I could go on. This book really counts as time well spent and the characters really stay with you. I've re-read Sweet Fortune many times and plan to keep it on the keeper shelf!

Probably the Best Futuristic Romance
Though this is a futuristic romance, readers who aren't used to futuristics will enjoy it. (Remember, it's vintage Jayne Ann Krentz, after all.) It packs in plenty of adventure and cultural clashes, not to mention a road trip romance.

The hero and heroine are opposites in many ways, yet still suited to each other -- a yin and yang, if you will.

If you haven't liked JAK's latest romantic suspense novels, try this for a change of pace.

Simple Serenity...
I adored this book!!! Cidra and Teague are perfect for each other!! I hadn't read a book about future times before and wasnt expecting much..Jane Krentz surprised and delighted me! Their determination to survive Renaissance and each other made it an enjoyable read, don't miss out on this!

Teague a man to die for...
If you don't read or like futureristic novels, then with Sweet Starfire you are going to change your mind! The book is wonderful and very hard to put down (I never did!)and after this book look for Crystal Flame and Shield's Lady.

Nobody does it better than Mrs J.A.KRENTZ!

sequel?
I loved the book - found it for 25 cents in a garage sale. I fell in love with the characters, but I was also drawn to the 2 subcharacters, Molly and Hawk. Does anyone know if there's a sequel featuring them?

Buy it, it is worth the price
This was a very good book. It's about Lettie who is being investigated by her fiance Xavier. But Lettie is a sharp cookie and gets him back. I will not go into how because I do not want to ruin the book. This is a very good romance novel.

A poignant tale
Six months pregnant, widow Wendy Sloan informs her son, twelve-year-old Ben, that she plans to sell the family's failing Nevada Moon Lake Resort. The place needs repairs that her beloved spouse used to perform before he died five months ago and there is no income to hire anyone. She also tells Ben that they, along with his younger sister will move to Sacramento to be closer to her family. A desperate Ben, who does not want to move, uses a class project to send an advertisement for a handyman over the Internet. Ben receives an "A" in school, many hits, but no takers.

Special FBI Agent Josh Walker recovers from a gunshot wound to his leg in which his partner died. His boss sends him to the Sloan's Tahoe resort to recuperate as a handyman as advertised over the Net. Josh obtains the job and finds he is falling in love with the 3.67 Sloans. Wendy and her children return Josh's feelings. However, Josh is marked by a drug cartel for death and knows his life with Wendy and her two kids is built on a lie.

Award winning author Rebecca Winters brightens up romance readers with her touching tales. Her latest story, THE FAMILY WAY, will delight fans with its passionate look at four individuals struggling with life after death. The heroic Josh will do anything to make life easier for his beloved. His love for her children including the unborn shows how caring a person he is. Wendy provides poignancy rarely seen in novels as she raises her two precocious children in the aftermath of her husband's death and her pregnancy. Ms. Winters remains an author for all seasons.

Wit and simmering sex from two romance stars!
This collection is a Harlequin two-for-one book (...).

The first book, Full Bloom by Jayne Ann Krentz, is a reprint of one of her short contemporaries (55,000 words or so) from 1987. If you never read it, it is one of her better works of that genre and well worth having.

Emily Ravenscroft is tired of her rich, domineering parents overseeing her every move. And she is equally tired of the interference of Jacob Stone, the tough, sexy troubleshooter her family has sent after her for years to make sure she stays out of trouble. Jacob has been extremely attracted to Emily since the day he met her, but as far as he's concerned, she is strictly off-limits as the daughter of his employers. Unfortunately for his determined vow, Emily has recently decided she is tired of being dutiful, and fiercely protests when her parents sic Jacob on her once again. She doesn't want Jacob as a watchdog, she wants him for a lover, and this go-round, she's determined to change the status quo.

This sprightly book is full of Krentz's trademark, witty sparring between an ultra-masculine, independent hero and a feisty, determined woman. I love the way the two of them battle each other, are equally stubborn and intelligent, and the way all of these elements together make for very hot sex. However, the sex is, thank goodness, also very loving. You can count on Krentz to never dump a hero and heroine into sordid, "let me use you for a while" sex. Her powerful protagonists are always discriminating lovers with strong ethics of generosity and loyalty.

The second book, Compromising Positions by Vicki Lewis Thompson, is a brand-new contribution to her lucky fans. Thompson has written a lot of short contemporaries, and this book definitely fits into that category being about 55,000 words or so. She has a strong feel for the requirements of this popular subgenre of romance, and always respects her fans by lovingly crafting her books.

Mick Farrell has been in business only one week with a brand-new bodyguard business, and he is desperate to get it off the ground. While waiting around for the phone to ring, his younger sister's best friend, Stacy Radcliffe, shows up. She wants to be his assistant, but Mick has no intention of hiring her. He's always been attracted to the beautiful, lively Stacy, but he has no desire to get romantically involved with a woman who shares every tidbit of her life with his baby sister! Unfortunately, his well-laid plans are thrown into a cocked-hat when a former lover of his shows up needing his professional services. As much as he needs her business, the lady is a tiger, obviously after far more personal attention than money can buy from poor Mick. Suddenly he decides he's going to need a bodyguard of his own to ward off the predatory woman, and Stacy is just what he needs to fill the bill.

This story is an excellent pairing with the Krentz book. Like Krentz, Thompson is excellent at getting a story off to a running start. Stacy and Mick collide by page three, begin to strike sparks, and don't stop blazing until the very end. They are a very good match for each other, each attractive, intelligent, ambitious, forthright, more than a little brash, and looking for work they can really sink their teeth into. Of course, work isn't the only thing they want to gnaw on! These two are a combustible combination serving up lots of exciting love scenes.

Not all double books are worth the extra cost, but I don't believe you'll be sorry if you give this one a try.

Jayne Ann Krentz's BEST -Sweet Starfire-
Cindra & Teague are such fun to read about. I never liked to read about space travel, until I read this book. Janye Ann Krentz, changed my mind about futureristic novels. Get your hands on this book and read it. You will have a really good time. I just love how Teague likes to go to restarants with Cindra...

Cindra and Teague are brave and sweet all rolled into one. I loved them.

I Love IT!!!
From all Jayne Ann Krentz's books this is the book I love best Eventhough, its really hard to find her novel but I always find a way to get it. Just like her characters in the books. They are funny, kind, generous and as if they are really exist. I cried when reach the happy ending. Excellent Story Jayne! Bravo! you are trully a great writer. I wish I could easily get your book as easy as you produce it. Thank you for the good story.

Lively Romance! Great Read!
This is one of my favourite Krentz comtemporary romances - the other favourite is Deep Waters. Molly and Harry are unique characters, different (she the enthusiastic businesswoman and he the cautious scholar)but sharing a powerful passion for each other. As always in Krentz's books, the hero needs the heroine to help him face his personal demons. In this case, the demons are Harry's psychic ability, his guilt over his parents' murder and his warring families.

Harry, in the meantime, is helping Molly to find the source of some nasty pranks being played on her as well as an attempt on her life. It wasn't difficult to guess "whodunit", but the mystery serves its purpose in bringing these two strong characters together.

Funny in parts and always interesting, Absolutely Positively strengthened my admiration for Krentz's writing.

One of JAK's best and brightest!
I love JAK books as a rule, but this one is definitly one of the best. Both Molly and Harry have wonderfully eccentric families, sharp minds, and strong hearts. I especially love paranormal romance, books that involve a sixth sense or strange power, and JAK usually does a good job with them, but Harry's strange power is more interesting then any other I've read about. Anyone who likes JAK, romance with a twist, or just a good read, should try this book.
