Answers a lot of questions
Dr. Krantz of Washington State University explains his unique theories about climatic races in this book. A must read for all of his students but a great read for the layman as well.

This book explains why people in certain areas of the world developed lighter skin, straight hair and long noses. It also explains how different races of people developed. He backs all
of his theories with solid scientific evidence and impeccable logic.

Bigfoot Sasquatch is Honest and Brilliant
Grover Krantz deserves a place in history for courageouslywriting a clear and scientifically sound description of proof that alarge biped ape-like animal does hide in the forests. Any non-biasedreader who actually examines the overwhelming evidence will be amazed..... Grover details impressive footprint evidence (and some hoaxes)and also how the proportions of the famous 1967 film of a femaleBigfoot could not be a human in a fur suit. He is right. I'm aHollywood animation artist and so I deal in human proportion andmovement. There is simply no way that this film could possibly be ahoax. Even the muscles move under the fur. This is a great book foradults, and also for your favorite young adults. The subject willkeep them interested, and the scientific lucidness will be a goodinfluence on them.

The Greatest Book on one of the Greatest Mysteries
"Big Footprints," written by physical anthropologist Dr. Grover Krantz, is the only book on the subject of the Sasquatch that explores the enduring mystery from a scientist's point of view. In a lucid, highly readable style, Dr. Krantz separates the solid evidence from the dubious, corrects many famous misconceptions, and, in the end, really takes the skeptics to task. Perhaps the most commendable aspect of this work is the professional and level-headed treatment Krantz gives his topic - a topic that courts the lunatic fringe. The detailed study of the famous "Patterson/Gimlin" film of bigfoot, along with thorough investigation into the veracity of the dermal ridges found in some footprint casts, show this book to be the work of a serious scientist. Personally, I've loaned this book to skeptics who've come away scratching their heads, wondering if we humans might actually share the planet with large, bipedal primates. "Big Footprints" is beyond doubt the finest book ever written on the Sasquatch enigma.

Scientist examines evidence for Sasquatch existence
Dr Grover Krantz, a Physical Anthropologist examines the objective evidence for the existence of the Sasquatch. This book was previously published in the early 1990's as "Big Foot Prints". This new edition is updated with the latest developments in this field. Among the evidence examined is the 1967 Roger Patterson film, the 1970 Bossburg cripple prints, the dermal ridge prints found by a U.S. Forestry worker in the 1980's. Dr. Krantz analyzes the objective physical evidence and also compares the physical description of the Sasquatch with Hominds known from the fossil record. Dr Kranz presents a strong case for G. Blacki as being the mostly likely match for the present day Sasquatch. There have been many books on this subject from lay persons, however this book is written by a leading Scientist and deals with facts and presents a levelheaded view of this subject. There is a fair amount of technical information however it is presented in a fashion that a lay person can easily understand. Several of Dr Krantz's published papers are in the appendix, these were originally published in academic anthropology publications. Dr Krantz has been studying this subject since the 1960's, when it was academic and scientific suicide to publicly express serious interest in this subject. He has pioneered the way for the later Scientists to investigate this subject without the censure he was subjected to in the 1970's and 1980's. Today it is considered acceptable to study cryptozoologic animals, however this has not always been the case. Dr. Krantz states that he believes the only way to settle this subject is for a physical specimen (a type speciment-that can be studied by Scientists). It is likely when this happens that the Sasquatch will then be declared an endangered species. Based on the known information, the Sasquatch is extremely shy, nocturnal, and is usually in densely forested areas. This may be one reason why there has not been a specimen taken to date. It is likely as more Scientists are involved in this investigation and lay persons that the proof of existence will be forthcoming. The reports have been occuring for hundreds of years and the physical descriptions are all remarkably similar. This animal has been sighted by police officers, clergy, military personnel, hunters and other credible witnesses. It is hard to read this volume and not be convinced that there is a strong case for the existence of this animal.
