Vegetarian Food For Real People

Thank you, Sonya!
I, too, was sick and tired of laboring in the kitchen to make a satisfiable vegetarian meal. The worst part of all (well, of being vegetarian) was what to do at barbeques and meat feasts that I loved to attend with people, but they never had vegetarian food, and therefore I was often pressured to the point of leaving to eat something. Sonya gave hints and tips that help me enjoy family and friend gatherings without either having to listen to the (excuse me) (...) people give me for not eating or not having fun around all the meat and I not having anything! Thank You, Sonya!!!

Straightforward and Uncomplicated Guide to Meatless Meals
I admit I have ten vegetarian cookbooks on my shelf. However, I only reach for a couple time and again. I now have a third favorite veggie recipe book. Sonya Harris put together a splendid assortment of "down-to-earth" meatless meals which are simple to prepare, by way of gathering ingredients, and easy to fix-up for those gathered around the kitchen table. Thanks to the author for an inexpensive yet comprehensive guide to the world of vegetarian foods. This is a great gift for family and friends whether they are currently veggie-types or not!

practical & helpful
from personal experience with this book, i give it an 11 on a scale of 1-10. i have been vegetarian for about 6 years and have found this book to be a superb addition to my collection of cook books and recipes. the health and menu tips make having a meal or snack easy, fun, and delicious.
i recommend this book to anyone-carnivores and herbivores alike-
it is full of tips, good food ideas/recipes, and is #1 on my list!!!

impressed in Tucson
Well I really didn't know what a diverse place Phoenix is, until I read this book! Now I know that Phoenix is not just an airport hub for our state, it is a great destination in its own right. This is an excellent and complete guide of all the highlights! I recommend it to all Arizona natives.

Like having 'a local' show you around...
...and I needed this book. As an author coming to town for a world-wind 24-hour tour, this guidebook was a gem. Everywhere I needed to go and whatever I needed to have was here. Highly recommended if Phoenix is on your next vacation or even your business trip list.

A Gospel Christmas
I found this little gem in a gift shop after Christmas last year. I learned a lot about the roots of gospel music in the easy to read format.I think it will appeal to all ages levels. I have enjoyed the free CD enclosed as an added bonus. I played it all year long. I'm shopping Amazon for gift copies, as I plan to give several as gifts this year.

Book comes with a cassette or Cd.
This small volume contains a wealth of information about the formation and history of Black Christian religious music. It explains the Gospel and Jubilee forms of musical expression. The music quality is excellent. The selections familiar. It would make a great Christmas present for music enthusiasts of all ages

A great book
This is a great book, and a wonderful contribution to both the history of mathematics, and to the explanation of the very mathematics that Kovalevskaya has worked on. We need more such books. I wish Springer would re-issue it in paperback.

I (the author) think it's OK.
It would hardly be fair for me to review my own book. You need an impartial opinion, such as that of my mother, who unfortunately didn't live to see her son become an author; I think she would have liked it, however. As for me, I'm happy to find it's still available after 13 years!

Small Business Sourcebook (SBS) is a Gale Group publication
This is an excellent starting point to put your business plans into motion. Let SBS help you to achieve your small business goals. The geographical scope of SBS encompasses the U.S. and Canada and contains a master index that precedes both volumes.

The arrangement of this reference source is divided into four sections in two concise volumes: Small Business Profiles, Topics in Small Business, State Listings, and Federal Government Assistance.

Generally, if topics aren't specifically related to small business, they are not included. The real Christmas story told in a fun & imaginative way!
"A BABY who will change the world-- born in our stable tonight?" the animals ask. The Ox thinks it will be a baby ox.
Tthe sheep thinks it must be a newborn lamb. The cow is certain it will be a calf. How shocked they are to learn that it's a baby human boy. "How can a sinful human save humans from their sins?" they exclaim in astonishment. When they see that this is no ordinary human baby-- but God's perfect Son, they're elated. Watch these delightful animals as they celebrate the arrival of the baby who really did change the world! A wonderful book!

A Must-Have for Christian Parents
"The Big 10 for Little Saints" is a beautiful book. The ten commandments are written in Biblical form and followed by a simple and effective explanation. I especially like the phrase, "cheerfully obey your mom and dad"! Both my 4 1/2 year old and three year old like this book and are learning the ten commandments at a young age. AND, the illustrations are wonderful... beautifully done and they depict a healthy, happy family-oriented home.

it draws you in
I was first attracted to this book because of its title. While waiting for my sister in the bookstore, I started reading the first few poems. I was immediately drawn into it and decided to buy it then and there.

The poems don't try to hide some deep meaning behind all the words, though they do leave the read something to think about. Everything just seems so _honest_. The first symptoms of the author's sister's "craziness," her loneliness and attempt to hide her sister's illness, the boy, the boyfriend, the road to healing.

I fell in love with the book right away. It's the only book of poetry I haven't been able to put down. I highly recommend it.

A good book
The book "Stop Pretending" was great,it deals with love, friendship, and family. The author expresses feelings in the book very well, and the book is very easy to read,it is in poem format. The book takes turns, like one minute you will be reading about this and then it changes and you read something different. The main character in the book tells how she would hate to be like her crazy sister and while you read it you can sort of relate to her by the way she describes what she is talking about. While you read you can put yourself in the character's position and really enjoy the book even more. This book is a true story, the authors sister really did go crazy ,but got helped. This is an excellent book for all ages,my teacher read it and he loved it too.

A wonderful story with an interesting twist
Though I know what it's like to be driven crazy by a sister, I don't know what it's like to have a sister who has such problems. With this book you go into the mind of Cookie, whom the author has based on herself. This book was truly a wonderful read, and what made it really great and original was that instead of chapters, it was composed of poems. I love poetry as well as books, and combining the two made this all the more better and all the more worthwhile. You can tell that Sonya Sones truly wrote it from the heart, especially since she went through the same exact thing. In fact, I think it says in the book that she wrote the poems while her sister was going through it. It's like she's cracked open her heart and let you look right into what she was feeling ( not to be graphic or anything ). A truly inspirational and loving novel. Read it immediately.

R.I.P. Til We Meet Again
R.I.P. . . . 'Till We Meet Again

I couldn't read this book fast enough . . . so badly wanting to get to its end. Once I arrived there I was not disappointed.

Rambunctious, ingenious and perfect not only describes the main characters of the book, it is also the way the story is told about them. As you begin reading, you wonder where the characters' individual accounts are taking you. It becomes all so clear once you reach the turning point of the story, which are for the reader the pages of "no turning back now."

How important is a title? As a writer, in my opinion, to the author, reader and the story the title is key. When it became evident to me of how R.I.P. 'Till We Meet Again plays a part of this story, I was moved from intrigued and excited to sadden and surprised. If a picture paints a thousand words, the novel's cover speaks volumes.

Sonya Senell Wash is a delightful storyteller. Once you've read this, her first novel your heart, mind and soul will not be able to RIP.

Review of R.I.P...'Til We Meet Again
Have you ever read a book and during the pages, you laugh aloud to yourself and say things like, "I can't believe he/she did that," feel like you've been in that type of situation before and 'been there - done that,' start talking back to the characters (even though you know that he/she cannot hear you) or actually had to read a page over just to make sure that what you read is actually what is written? These are just a few of the things that I did or felt once I read Ms. Wash's first novel entitled R.I.P...'Til We Meet Again. This novel was so vivid, I could imagine myself sitting in the setting of the book, during any of the chapters. Ms. Wash challenges the intensity of true friendship among three very different, yet unique women during and after college life. This book was very easy reading and very well worth a weekend at home to relax, laugh, cry and reminisce.

Through Thick and Thin
I can't believe that this book has been out since September 2000 and I'm just discovering it! The title is intriguing and really made me wonder what was between the covers. What I found was a story that was bold and sassy, honest and bittersweet with unexpected twists and turns that held my attention and that I quickly read in one sitting. R.I.P. is a story that deals with the benevolence and woes of friendship. Via the acronym R.I.P. Wash introduces us to friends Rambunctious Rashondra,

Ingenious Indigo, and Perfect Priscilla in her fascinating debut novel titled R.I.P. Til We Meet Again. RIP are three sister friends who meet during freshman year via a study group and are rounded out by the sole male friend of the group, Walter. The descriptor RIP appropriately describes each young lady as they all come from diverse backgrounds and live up to their names.

Although each friend is unique and very different they are able to put aside their differences to form a strong sisterhood bond which continues after they graduate from college. Together they will share a multitude of experiences including Family Drama, Deception, Secrets, Adultery, Murder and Wayward Family Members. However, a sudden tragedy occurs which ignites pain and mistrust and as a result, their friendship ends. After two years and the trio is not back together, Walter intervenes to bring peace and harmony back to the ladies. Walter knows that the girls miss each other, but it is their

stubborn pride that keeps each one from taking the first step to re-establish their friendship. Since Walter was the friend who brought the others together he felt it was his responsibility to mend the rift that separated them. But will Walter succeed in his endeavor?

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but the title is the key to discovering the depth of RIP Til We Meet Again. When I found out how the title was interwoven into the storyline, I was moved from intrigued and excited to saddened and surprised. I couldn't believe the bombshell that was dropped on me! Wash is a delightful storyteller and I really enjoyed how she developed the characters by taking us through their childhood, college years and into adulthood. The characters become personable to us as Wash makes them jump off the page and into our lives via the creatively crafted subplots. RIP is a love story and a mystery tightly wrapped in an engrossing and compelling storyline. I look forward to future novels from Sonya Senell Wash and I hope not to take as long to discover them as I did RIP.
