This book is for anyone who wants to learn about bloodsucking creatures. There wasn't anything that I did not like about this book. This book informed me about things like how the plague was spread by rats and fleas. It was interesting to learn how mosquitoes spread malaria and yellow fever. I recommend this book.

This book was very informative and interesting, if you like things that pierce the skin and suck your blood. It was also good to know about what bugs like that can do. It will help kids identify them without an adult. I thought that it would help you prevent coming in contact with them. At some parts it was disgusting, like when mosquitos bite you with their proboscis. I liked this book and I think that you will like it to.

"Top 10 Basketball Centers" was published in 1994 which explains why when you look at the list of names offered up by Ron Knapp you notice the name of Shaquille O'Neal is missing. Of course, true basketball fans were probably willing to argue with Knapp's choices as soon as they book came out (I probably would have been making a case for Wes Unseld, who is pictured on page 9 trying to get a hand in Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's face on a skyhook). But whether you are talking now or then, you cannot add anybody to the list until you take someone else off. Kareen, Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell are automatic since they are usually on most people's list of Top 10 PLAYERS let alone centers. Yes, the game has changed well beyond what it was in the beginning, but George Mikan has to go on any short list as well. Then it might come down to what you value more, abilities or championships. Patrick Ewing and Bob Lanier had more talent than Dave Cowens, but the center for the Celtics won a couple of titles and the other pair are (to date) without a single one. Hakeen Olajuwon has two and David Robinson one since this book was written. Then there is Bill Walton, who only won one title before injuries made him a back-up player, which explains why he only averaged 13.3 points a game, but who still earned a second ring with the Celtics. So I am still debating who I would take off this list in order to add Shaq. Sometimes I think Walton, then I switch back and forth between Ewing and Lanier. But then that is precisely the fun of such books. Each player has four pages devoted to their accomplishments during their playing careers. They will introduce young readers to some of the greatest players in the game, who played long before they were born (and perhaps before when their parents were born), and the rest of us will spend our time endlessly debating this list and any other judgment any one wants to offer up on basketball or pretty much any other sport (Knapp has books on the "Top 10 Basketball Scorers" and "Top 10 Hockey Scorers").
