Fright camp is scarey, but entertaining!
When I read fright camp, I thought it was one of the best books I've ever read,it's a story where ghosts are real and you can get killed at a camp, I'd rate it five stars because it was a weird, scarey, and entertaining book. Buy it and find out for yourself

The Uncivil War
There was just a average girl that her father was the school principal, a mother that won't stop feeding her, and a boy name Robert Lee that won't keep on bugging her in school. When Robert kept on poking and making fun of her for no reason. When he calls Asa (girl's name) fatso, Asa decided that she couldn't take it anymore. Asa decides to take what is most precious to Robert and keep it forever to torture Robert. Asa wants Robert to get on his knees and say sorry for all the things he did to Asa, and also wants Robert to call Asa the Scandinavian Queen. Who will win the War of the Bulge?

I liked the book very much because you always want to know what will happen next. This book is also really fun because sometimes it is really funny among Asa and Robert. It is also funny when Asa thinks is being overfed by her mom, and finally tells her that she is feeding her too much. Asa's mom always think that big is pretty, huge is gorgeous, and jumbo is adorable!

My favorite part of the book was when Asa desperatley took Roberts Baseball card collection. That was my favorite part because Robert starts to beg Asa to give the Baseball card collection back. Finally, Asa gets the revenge that she had needed for a long time. Little by Little Asa starts to like the begging more, so she decided to keep the Baseball cards for alittle bit longer. But, Asa thought that she couldnt hold on to the baseball cards forever then she would have done more than what Robert had done to her.

Annerikia isn't the way
It is about a girl who likes this boy and makes fun of her because she is fat.She gets depressed and gets over it and loses weight! You go girl!

***********WONDERFUL!************
This is one good book people. It's kind of like soap opera. It's about a teenager who LOVES shopping and then can't go shopping anymore. This was a great plot.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SPLENDIFFEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my favorite of Sheila Klass's novels. It has three plots roled into one novel. It is hard to say whether Carole her friend Jim or her friend Monique has a more exciting life. All three have their own unique personalitys, and reactions to their lives. They have different views on eachothers lives and yet they all tie into the story. I reccomend this book to everyone in anyh situation

A MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!
I have read many of Sheila Klass's novels for young adults and this is definitely one of her best. I admire the way she interests you in a plot that many writers could write as a moral story and nothing else. She shows Beth's personality with amazing realisticness. She creates vivid charachters such as the Pillsburys and Clarissa that although they aren't main charachters the story would not be the same without them. I highly reccomend this book to people who are looking for a novel to read for amusement

Few Fun Facts...........
"Wow!", was my first word when I read this book. I knew that Annie Oakley was poor and that we fathers both died when she was young. But I didn't know that at one point she was sold as a servant! Or had a learning disabilty!
I used this book for a book report, in which you had get a bio. of an inportant womean or a man of the 1800s. Many of them selected Abe Lincoln, Clara Barton, or Laura Ingalls Wilder. But my report was unique in it's own way.

Who Says Only Boys Can have Special Talents?
I absolutely loved this book. Of course, all books on Annie Oakley have always interested me, but this one stood apart from the rest. The way that the story is told from Annies point of view makes everything make more sense. You understand the emotions Annie feels and it's almost as if you're really connecting with this character. Sheila Solomon Klass did a wonderful job. It's not as if Annie Oakley is trying to become famous or prove the world wrong, it's just that she's trying to feed her poor Quaker family and pay off the mortgage using her talent in Sharpshooting. Touring Worldwide wasn't really part of the plan, but it was certainly the outcome!

This was a really good book!
I think this book was very, very good. The author made Annie'slife so interesting. It was a fun book to read. This book also madeAnnie Oakley become my hero. It proved that boys aren't the best at everything.

little women next door
This book is truly a good read. The only thing I didn't really like about it was that the girls in the book got a little too over enthusiastic over every little thing. The book is about a little girl who stutters and one day she meets neighbors. They make a school and area for their followers, Fruitland. The new neighbors are odd in the girl's poppa's point of view, but they are kind and help the girl over her stuttering problem.

Little Women Next Door
Shy, stammering Susan lives with her strict, conservative Pa and her Aunt Nell. When strange new neighbors move in next to their farm, Aunt Nell takes Susan to pay a welcoming call with a gift of apple butter and cheese. To their amazement, the new people appreciate the offer but turn down the cheese since they don't eat any animal products. That's just the first of many different things about the communal group that has moved in at "Fruitlands." Part of the group includes eleven-year old Louisa May Alcott. They become great friends. Susan goes to school there with Mr. Alcott as the teacher. It's a wonderful new world for her and she loses most of her stutter and much of her shyness. Read to learn about some of the new ideas the group has and how long they live at Fruitlands. Fictional and historical characters are used in this interesting account of a slice of the famous author's childhood. A great read, especially for any student who has read Little Women.

admiration for sheila klass's work
I have been a fan of Sheila Solomon Klass for overr 30 years. We first met in Greenwich Village. I listened to her hilarious stories and thought "If she could only translate the spoken words...the stories she told so well (the language, the pace, the warmth, the humor) into written words, she would be more than successful. And she has done just just that according to the long list of her publications. "In A Cold Open Field" is a triumph for Sheila Solomon Klass. She combines all the strengths and virtues of her previous novels... her understanding, sympathy and ability to describe beautifully the human condition whether it occurs in Brooklyn, India or back in the early days of the america West. Her latest novel about the gypsy who cheats the mother of her hard-earned savings is hilarious and tragic all at the same time. I picked up the book and didn't put it down until the last page. Sheila Solomon Klass has given me many hours of pleasure, sustenance and fun.. thank you Sheila.. Ruth Daigon

An Energetic, Optimistic Story
What a pleasurable contrast to lugubrious teen fiction this book is! It dances, it races, high on its heroine's energy and anything-but-wry humor. Its characters don't tolerate stoic suffering for long, but are busily changing their lives. I find their enthusiastic optimism infectious: it brings the reader's own adolescence to mind, when life seemed to change unpredictably every few weeks--and Klass's prose reminds me irresistably of a high school marching band, full of percussive rattling, oom-pah tuba notes, and bright trumpets. Sit back, have fun, enjoy the adrenaline rush.
