 Excellent book on Marine invertebrates
Comprehensive compilationThis is not a book of taxonomic keys, like Light's Manual. It is, rather, a book that provides a summary of the biology and ecology of invertebrates of the west coast. The authors provide lists of the best research literature for each animal (up through 1980), as well as photographs and line drawings that show what the animals look like.
This is not a field book, per se, but copies of this book are found on the shelves of most marine biological laboratories in the world, and on the shelves of most invertebrate zoologists who have visited the west coast of the USA.
A professor of mine once said, "That is a 'big boy' book." And, as books on invertebrates go, he is right.
This book is well worth the price!

The Age of Corporate Newspapering indeed!
 Essential reading for aspiring journalists

 Great reference book
 Excellent in-depth source for chromatographers

Great book for boys!A mom of three
 teacher's class pick

excellentor graduate book. Rather it is a research book which assumes
knowledge (good knowledge) of advanced quantum mechanics.
It is very well organized, with very good presentation
of the rational of breakthroughs in quantum field mechanics
an extremely good presentation of QFD (quantum flavor dynamics)
and with a deep understanding of the related concepts. You wont
find 'how to do' calculations.
If you have a working knowledge of quantum mechanics of fields
and you want an overview of particle physics, this is
definitely the book for you.

 A superbly presented treatise

 Modernization of Oresteia

 Thought provoking for all ages
He studied each of the pages and turned to me with a desperate voice (while holding my face with his hands and making me look into his eyes)"TEACH ME TO READ GRANDMA! I want to know what they are doing"!
Well, I think that says it all. This is a kid that does not sit still for a minute and here he was asking to learn to read!
The concept of photography of real kids, and the fabulous graphic arts, really drew my little guy into the book. I am hoping there are more to come. Books about "Time Soldiers" and grandchildren! tee hee...
