WOW!!
I don't actually own this book, however, I spent no less than an hour and a half staring at the pages, wishing I had sixty dollars to spend on it. Now I'm glad I didn't have that money, considering I can buy the same book for twenty dollars less!

Anyways, this book is literally filled with beautiful photos, and information about each one. I am sure that if I had been given the opportunity to read it, page by page, I would have other wonderful comments to make. However, I only know the bare minimum about it, and I strongly suggest anyone who is truly interested in Ancient Egypt, and Tutankhamun, to buy this astounding book.

Fabulous volume!
This new volume is a refreshing addition to any collection on the subject of Tutankhamun. For those of us who have not been able to actually visit the Egyptian Museum and see the treasures of the king for ourselves, Tutankhamun, by T.G.H. James is essential. There have been many publications on the subject, and many fine photographs of the objects of the tomb reproduced. T.G.H. James has collected a totally new set of images, many of objects which are not published previously. The reproductions are superbly done, the accompanying text is refreshing and illuminating. If you have read everything you could find on the subject, and perused each object until the page begins to wear, this book is for you. I am totally delighted with this book!

Rivers of Living Water
The following is my rule of thumb on buying a book on studying the Bible:

1. Never be boring 2. Straight forward and not alot of digging and searching 3. A behind the scenes commentary on what was going on 4. A break down of verses and words and what they mean 5. Practical applications for my life today

I have found all this and more in the Standard Lesson Commentary. The format of the biblical studies are based on a weekly system, starting with the first Sunday of September 2001 and ending on the last Sunday of August 2002. Within this time frame, the lessons are divided into quarters (fall, winter, spring and summer). This allows the writers of the Standard Lesson Commentary to place the biblical studies under certain themes or topics.

While this book is actually geared to people who partcipate in a local Sunday School or Bible Study, I highly recommend this book for your own personal studytime at home. There is so much that can be gleaned from this study and I like the format because it gives me an opportunity to either stay on the schedule set or just go at my own pace.

The writers are highly anointed in how they can even take difficult passages in the Bible and break it down so that you get a clearer understanding on what the Word says. They also reference other versions of the Bible, Bible dictionaries and other commentaries.

This is a perfect book for someone new to the Bible who might want a more structured approach to their Bible study. This book is also perfect for the seasoned warrior, who studies the word to show himself approved...(2 Timothy 2:15)

THE BEST BOOK I'V READ
The Tales Of king Arthur is a great book. It is a action paked book. It gives from the begging of King Arthurs life to the end. It is one of the best books I'v ever read. It has great details. The book also has storys of the voyages of his men. It even has the story of the Round Table. The chapters are divided exactly the why they should be. They are very percice. They tell some storys that arn't ever told. It is a book that talks mainly about the Folk hero. Also about how he helps the U.K. come back to life. I would highly recomend that childern from the ages of 10 to 14 should read this book. Specily if you like a book that is action paked. This is one of the best books I'v ever read and I would think that you would also like this Book. Tales of king Arthur.

King James VI of Scotland & I of England Unjustly Accused?
Published in Paperback by Konigswort Inc (1996)
Authors: Stephen A. Coston, Wallace Clan Trust, John MacLennan, Stephen A., Sr. Coston, H. R. G., and Tenth Duke of Atholl
Amazon base price: $14.95

Interesting premise, but poorly written and argued
The research and quotes used throughout this work seem well documented, and the premise seems sound...that James the VI and I was maligned due to the antagonism of court intriguers who were ousted as favorites with his reign, and who had strong prejudices against the "uncivilized Scots" Anyone with any experience of the literature and sensibilities of the times would recognize that the sentimentality and expressions of love that were purported to be the evidence of James' homosexuality were absolutely normal and common speech of the times. However, I object to the homophobic tone that the writer pursues, as if such accusations were the most evil thing one could say of another, and I find the organization and arguments to be rambling and excessively repetitious. The author could have used a strong editor with a red pencil. The theme could have been fully discussed in an article of magazine length, rather than a $15 book.

Excellent history of James as king, father, and man
While King James has often been accused by both secular and Christian history as a man of ill repute, little has been offered in his defense. However, Unjustly Accused? certainly has defended the honor of this king, central to both politics and religion, in a more than adequate manner. While admitting his flaws, the book also emphasizes his accomplishments as a king, as a father, and as a man.
