Essential
This book is essential reading for all women who want to take charge of their own health. It exposes the pharmaceutical hype, answers real questions without being over-simplistic, is extremely well researched and easy to read. A must!

Unfortunate Subtitle
This book is a must have guide for women in every age. The subtitle "Natural Menopause revolution" is not choosen well, as this book really is not only about menopause. It talks about PMT and other health issues women in different stages of their live have to deal with. A book I like to give to friends as a gift, which is always very much appreciated.

A necessary book for any woman
This is a book I found in the nick of time. Until encountering it, despite an extensive background in natural health, NO source available to me clarified the true relation of female hormones to bodily events. In one reading this volume accounted for the Hell I have gone through all my reproductive life, most of it induced by medical ignorance, arrogance or discounting.

Those are strong words, but they barely describe the violence done to women's bodies by standard medical management of their health care, contraception, and menopause problems, to say nothing of extraneous stresses in the environment. Kenton's book anatomizes all the reasons for this damage, describes how both lifestyle and even well-intentioned "health care" contributes to it, and describes approaches that no one in this nutrition-conscious age should find too difficult. The toughest row for most women to hoe will be standing off doctors who are pharmaceutically ignorant of the difference between conventional HRT and the natural-progesterone approaches Kenton outlines.

I am living proof that this is a book women need. I have had many of the hormone-related problems Kenton outlines, and perfectly answer the profile of a woman subject to estrogen dominance despite above-average health consciousness. I have had to fight off hysterectomy twice, but the problems that led to this threat have been in abeyance since I demanded natural progesterone treatment from my doctor--shortly before reading this book, on the advice of an RN friend. Finding this book helped me understand how and why something was FINALLY working, and what I could do to further help myself. If only I had had progesterone creams, and the knowledge in this book, available at the beginning of my gynecological purgatory instead of twenty years later! This is not information whose value is limited to women approaching menopause. The uncanny matches between my circumstances and Kenton's accounts of female chemistry make me suspect I could have avoided a world of hurt. I hope some other women can do so.

Great Cleansing Diet !!
I have been using this cleansing diet two or three times a year for about fifteen years now. I have passed it on to many friends who also swear by it. My copy has disappeared and I would really like to have it in my library again. Please! reprint this fabulous guide.

Please publish again!
Yes, I too have found this book to be fantastic and very easy to follow.

I first did the plan after reading an article in UK Elle, towards the end of the 80s, and have been doing it regularly since then (once or twice a year).

In fact I'm doing it again now. But now I don't have the book, it's mostly from memory.

It's a fantastic plan to get energy back (particularly after those sluggish change of season times).

I have found it *the* single most effective way to reclaim my tastebuds, rid myself of bad eating patterns, cut out coffee, alcohol etc for more than just a few days.

So, I can highly recommend it to everyone...just hope they publish it again.

I followed this plan in 1988 and it was the best plan for eliminating sugar, salt and processed foods from your diet.
After 10 days my desire for sugar, salt and processed foods wasgone! I could taste the chemicals that were added to foods - and itwasn't pleasant. Also, I only required about 6 hours of sleep a night (my body no longer needed as much time to recooperate). I had a tremendous amount of energy and felt lighter. Even though this is not a "diet" it is a great basis for beginning a new way of eating. I can't believe it is no longer published. It is short and very easy to follow.

A path to understanding quantum energies
I have been gently and slowly working through these exercises for the last two years. Like the twelve week exercises in Julia Cameron's The Artists Way, it takes more than just a few weeks to absorb all the lessons that can be learned from this book. Though I was at first resistant to some of the material, I have found that it has proven trustworthy over time. Offers excellent insight into the mind/body/spirit connection through the lens of quantum physics, shamanism, consciousness research, and systems theory. I have recently found confirmation of the validity of this work in my study of the healing arts. An excellent companion for the creative artist as well as the spiritual pilgrim.

This book of life/living: powerful journey of transformation
This is an excellent book dealing with the expanded possibilities of the mind and 'consciousness' from a Shamanic point of view. Don't let the word Shaman or any such thing put you off - within psychology and the study of the mind, there are patterns and different ways of explaining similar or even identical things. This is one such case.

Leslie Kenton introduces us to the concept of using the abilities of our mind to free ourselves from tension, worries and to create for ourselves time, compassion and a greater sense of being. This is done over seven chapters, where recent ground-breaking research through science, physics, quantum mechanics, philosophy, biology and psychology [to name a few] are combined with the old traditions of shamans [not the weird people TV makes us believe, but like people with insight and understanding, purpose and a passion for life, who know where they are going!].

This book is self-help, because it then leads you on a daily, thirteen-week journey of shifting your state of mind and outlook on life, through a series of 'mind journeys.' Once again, traversing the realms of the mind is nothing new, nor is it a 'new religion sweeping the nation' [it never asks or implies to change your beliefs, etc. the course and your beliefs/ religion work in conjunction with each other].The mind has different states: Alpha, Beta, Theta, Delta and each one serves their own purpose. We are in Delta mind state when sleeping and a peak state of learning is achieved when in Alpha state. Leslie [or rather her book] leads you through 13 steps [one large step a week - trust me, they are big ones!] that teach you to harness the power of your unconscious mind and use it to your advantage.

As afore mentioned this book teaches unlocking the unconscious mind from the shamanic point of view. For example, Soaring to the Heavens [Quantum Leap 4 of Leslie book] is similar to achieving an Alpha state of mind and going to a higher region of the brain.

Overall, even if you do not do the exercises within this book, it is still an interesting read for those of you with an open mind and a willingness to create a better life for yourself. It has made a difference in my life and my outlook on life indefinitely. The book is set out in an easy-to-read fashion with very inspirational, if not also encouraging, quotes that keep you fully engaged in the book/course.

The New Raw Energy: The Revolutionary Bestseller

This book is the Health Bible & should be in every school!
This book illuminates the fact that the enzymes present only in raw foods are @ least as important as vitamins & minerals in the maintenance of optimum human health. This well-documented work not only reminds us that man is the only animal which cooks it's food but that cooked food is a cultural perversion & an addiction which may actually be injurious to health. The authors delightful writing style informs w/o intimidating the reader w/ medico-chemical jargon. While some critics might label this book "controversial", such claims would be found baseless under the cold, hard light of logic.

Highly life altering information to be read by everyone!
Although I have read a great deal about nutrition, after reading raw energy I now know the value of eating foods in their natural state. I have used the information in this book to improve my energy, health, muscular endurance and muscular strength. I loved it and will continue to use the information to live healthfully for many more years.

This book does it's job
I have had this book for over 15 years now and when I go off the beaten path, don't feel good, eaten too much, have trouble sleeping, constipation, etc. etc. I drag my little white book out with Red writing and read. This book is so inspiring, I love it. It makes more sense than any other detox plan I know. The sept by step, and day by day instructions make it very easy to follow. You feel great afterward and feel back on track. The last time I went on the clean up plan (two weeks ago) I lost 9 pounds of rubbish from my body. Thank you Leslie Kenton.

Stress Beaten!
This is a good book for anyone who suffers from stress and who wants an easy-to-read book containing easy-to-implement suggestions to help beat stress. The dietary suggestions, while useful, are difficult to follow without making quite a few life changes. However, most of the book is useful for people who haven't got much spare time but need to relax. I've found it useful, as have a few of my friends. Definitely worthwhile.
