Superb human photos
Really superb collection of black and white photos of families. I can't praise the images enough - they are truly a wonderful portrayal of the world's families. This volume is enhanced by Margaret Mead's anthropologically-based text commentary. An exquisite and artistic book.

I would love to have it,because my family is in it,

Good for both the novice and experienced
My organization has been involved in process improvement for several years. I found this book to be very interesting, as we have experienced many of the missteps mentioned. I found this book to be very helpful in mapping out strategies for establishing and tracking your organization's process improvement approach. I also appreciated the examples of process, procedures, policies, and plans; as well as the difference between them and the reasons why they are needed, as my organization had struggled with these documentation issues. The later chapters dealing with statistical control and higher maturity provided me with a clear understanding of these concepts and how to institute them in my organization. I would recommend this book to anyone in process improvement. It works not only for the novice, but also the experienced process improvement specialist.

Not just a re-hash of the CMMI
I am a university professor and am often asked to review books dealing with technical subjects. I enjoyed reading this book because the authors present their points cogently and offer step-by-step approaches toward resolving business issues. I also found the statistical process control, metrics, and higher maturity chapters to be interesting and entertaining. The authors take the reader through several different techniques that can be found in organizations, summarize each, and then demonstrate which methods they find to be the most often used, and most easily understood. While I am not a process improvement specialist, I feel that anyone who is assigned these duties could benefit from this book. This is not just another re-hash of the CMMI.

How to Marry the Man of Your Choice

Dated info
I don't think men have changed much over the last 1000 years. Given that, this book provides guidance on how men think -- which is something women need if they're interested in marrying a man.

For instance, if you want to find a husband, date men instead of going out with groups of women. If a man doesn't ask you to marry him after you've been dating for six months, move on instead of investing years of precious time.

Use your head when heeding advice of an author from years past. Some info is dated.

Easy to Follow Instructions for Finding a Husband
Okay, so some women may be put off by the advice to be a bitch and the suggestions on how to dress (don't dress dumpy and wear make up) but the idea that one must be informed and methodical about finding the right man to marry is the most important concept in this book. Most of her advice is based on appealing to men in a very general sense (most men prefer long hair and stuff like that), so if the man of your choice isn't typical, then you would ignore some of that information. The best parts of the book are: her list of questions to ask a man to find out if he is the man for you and her advice on when and why you should move out of a live-in relationship. It's a good book with which to start your quest and I have to add that two friends were married with in two years after reading and applying the information in this book.

It's What He Wants.
There aren't that many books out there that are written by women on what the men want, instead of what the women think the men want. But here is one of them, and one of the best ones. She offers a lot of ideas to use that will attract more men your way. Yes, there are some things in here that don't make sense and may seem a bit too forward for shy women, nevertheless, it's what men like, and want from you. That's what counts. You don't have to agree with the whole book. I didn't, but it's still a must read, because it's what men want. I tell my customers to read this if they are looking for more good books to read.
