Go "V"!
The third book in this series is a good book and helps to tie up all the loose ends of the first two. It is a shorter book, just like the second one, and very easy to get through. You'll want to read straight through to find out how it all ends. V's husband is such a jerk, and you just want to root against him through the whole book. I would recommend this entire series of books.

so much fun!
Like the other 2 books in this series, this one delivers. I am anxiously awaiting #4, and hope Debra Kent publishes it soon.
Valerie is doing okay considering her marriage has fallen apart, and her child is having problems adjusting to things.
But, with grace and dignity, Valerie handles things great. Don't want to give away the plot, but if you liked the first 2 books you definitely need to read this one as well.

witty social commentary
Valerie Ryan is finally divorced from her philandering husband Roger and has temporary custody of her son Pete. She is struggling to make ends meet while her lawyer battles the attorney of her ex so she and her son can have a piece of his fortune though he has in actuality hidden his assets.

Valerie is also starting to delve into the singles dating scene. However, that has changed from her memories of her premarital days as a gay person trying to go straight want to ask her out while a lesbian wants her to change her sexual orientation. Finally, her neighbor wants her trees best out of his yard.

This tale is a witty social commentary about life after the divorce. The characters are drawn true to life and run the gamut of human behavior. Ever trapped Roger is the villain of the piece though there are a few moments when readers will actually feel sorry for the bum. Valerie is a role model of a survivor of the divorce wars.

Second Helping, Please
I really enjoyed the first book, The Diary of V: The Affair. It was hilarious and left me hanging, so I just HAD to read this one. It was good, but definitely shorter and left you hanging for the third book. If you read the first one, though, you have to read the next two.

You just have to root for V in these books and hope that she comes out on top. She's easy to root for...she's every woman...she makes mistakes, she has her ups and her downs, and she deals with weight issues and feeling loved. I related to her so much, and that's why I loved the series.

wicked fun
This is one of those books you read for the fun of it. Just imagine reading someone's diary for the fun of it. Not to be taken seriously. You will leave wanting to know more. Valerie is having an affair, her husband is having an affair and without giving too much of the storyline away, her life is a mess!! If you do read the first one, continue on with the 2nd and 3rd in the series. Lightheated, and entertaining! I am looking forward to #4!

Can't put it down
the author make you feel like if you know V. Its like she's your bestfreind and you want to help her... I've head all the 3 books of "The Diary of V"... i couldn't put it down.. seriously i would read them again... Great BOOK ! ! !

I am "V"!
The Diary of V series is wonderful! I felt like I could have substituted "V" for "J" and the story was about me. Her feelings and reactions to her husband, her love of men finding her attractive, her "crushes", and her friendships with the women of the story rang so true for me. I just really related to the main character of this book.

If you want to read the hilarious tale of a woman going through an affair, a cheating husband, raising a young son, and getting fat on top of that then this is the book for you. You can relate to V and watch her come out victorious and overcome the hurdles in her life. It will make you feel her pain and cheer for her when she succeeds. Great read!

mindless and fun entertainment
I picked up this book at a bookstore, not knowing anything about the author or the web site. I wasn't sure I would enjoy this book, but once I got into it, I started to have fun. Like reading a Jackie Collins novel, this book manages to entertain. Don't read it if you want to learn anything. Just read it for fun. It tells the story of this therapist and the entries she keeps in her diary. From trying to keep her marriage together, to being attracted to other men. From losing weight to gaining weight, job problems, children problems. It covers it all. A fun and entertaining book! I am certainly looking forward to the next installments. This book would also certainly qualify as a great summer read!

It's Worth Reading!
I found this book while browsing a bookstore. I've never read this series on the Redbook Magazine website before. I thought I would give this book a try. Once I started to read it, I was hooked. I spent every free moment reading this book. I couldn't put it down. Valerie's entries are wild! She writes about her experiences and thoughts about her family, work, and friends. I can't wait to read the next book in the trilogy! I recommend reading this book! It's very entertaining! You'll enjoy it!
