A profound and proactive sales success book!
Although Maxwell Maltz is listed as the first author (he passed away in 1975), I know that Dan Kennedy has played a huge role in writing this book and making it happen. Dan Kennedy is currently President of the Psycho-Cybernetics Foundation and has been one of my success mentors for years. His wisdom is easy to follow - but more than that it is right on! I started out as an engineer and a very timid salesman. Dan Kennedy is has helped to change that. Because of him I know myself better, which has helped me to better serve others in my business. I guarantee that if you read this book you will be a changed person - it's that incredible.

Kennedy covers all of the proactive bases: smart thinking, system thinking, futuristic thinking, and positive thinking. If you are truly seeking the kind of success and abundance that makes your life 100% livable - you must read this book. Many of his ideas are found in SUCCESS BOUND, another book built on learning how to live a proactively life that is God centered and fulfilling.

Everything that I have put into practice that Dan Kennedy has recommended in his books has worked. He has brought me success by focusing on what is important in selling and using my God given talents and my thinking ability to be a better salesman. Nearly every bit of our success starts in our minds including sales success. This book makes it very clear as to how to think in the right way so that your success is assured.

You will find that this exciting book becomes a part of you. Don't hold back - let it happen. In fact, I plan on spending 10 to 15 minutes every morning for the next several days focusing my thoughts on the truths of this book, thereby allowing them to seep deep into my subconscious mind. If you do this too I guarantee God's wisdom will most assuredly bring you the success and abundance you deserve.

Enjoy this book and your new proactive and successful life!

This is Powerfull Stuff!
What do you get when you put Dan S. Kennedy--the all-time, number one, best salesman and marketer in the world, and Maxwell Maltz--the world's leading innovator of self-image building, and blend them together--well, you guessed it...one powerfull piece of work. Invaluable to anyone needing to learn the inner game of selling, and by this I mean, one must master their inner self (Maltz) before they can master thier salesmanship and certainly bestow their conquering effects of marketing (Kennedy) on the world. Worth the read, very easy, flowing and has readily available and practical exercises for training your mind...to SELL! Top 10 sales book, on my list. Steve Adele

FINALLY! New Information On Jackie!
I am a huge Jackie Kennedy book collector and have read almost all there is written on her. I can say that although this is a very short book that it has to be one of my absolute favorite books on Jackie. It does what all the other books only speculate on, which is: describe Jackie's feelings on her husband's infidelity. As this book is taken from the private journals of not only Jackie during her time at Camp David, but of other First Ladies and their thoughts on Jackie's entries, I have to say it is the most honest book I've read. The honesty factor does go both ways though. It also shows how catty and petty other First Ladies were in regards to Jackie. Nancy Reagan is especially foul and resentful of Jackie's stay in the White House, which is shown in this book. I almost cheered from joy though when reading Hillary Clinton's entry in response to Nancy's vile messages about Jackie: "Oh shrivel up you old prune!" Ha-ha. :) In fact, after reading this book I have found new respect for Hillary as she states that she can relate to Jackie in that her husband was also unfaithful while in office. And even shock of shocks, Barbara Bush has an entry that she feels her husband was also untrue to her with his own personal secretary. All in all, this book was just so good that I couldn't put it down. I encourage all Jackie fans, or even those interested in the lives of First Ladies, to consider this book. You'll be very happy you did.

Stunning Work of Art
I keep the book on a music stand in my office and when my students come in they are immediately drawn to it. This book is an absolutely stunning work of art. Each hymn is preceded by a story that makes you appreciate and love each hymn even more. The photographs chosen for each hymn are breath taking. If you've ever sung hymns without paying any attention to the words or their meaning I think you would find this book inspiring. It brings music to life in a way I have never seen.

The Story of the Other Wiseman by Henry Van Dyke
This is the story of Artaban, a seeker of Truth. He is the other wiseman who sought the 'great king'foretold in ancient script and heralded by the 'star'. On his way to meet the three wisemen, he is delayed. This sets him on a quest ins search of the King. It will lead him to many places and experiences. This book with its beautiful word pictures reminds us once again the importance of seeking Truth wherever we find it. It adds new meaning to the story of Christmas.

A Timeless Christmas Tradition
Master storyteller and social critic, Charles Dickens, turns this social treatise on shortcomings of Victorian society into an entertaining and heartwarming Christmas ghost story which has charmed generations and become an icon of Christmas traditions. Who, in the Western world has not heard, "Bah, Humbug!" And who can forget the now almost hackneyed line of Tiny Tim, "God bless us, every one!" or his cheerfully poignant observation, that he did not mind the stares of strangers in church, for he might thus serve as a reminder of He who made the lame, walk and the blind, see. Several movie versions: musical, animated, updated, or standard; as well as stage productions (I recall the Cleveland Playhouse and McCarter Theatre`s with fondess.) have brought the wonderful characterizations to the screen, as well as to life. This story of the redemption of the bitter and spiritually poor miser, and the book itself; however, is a timeless treasure whose richness, like Mrs Cratchit`s Christmas pudding, is one that no production can hope to fully capture.

The original "Carol"
It's hard to think of a literary work that has been filmed and staged in more imaginative variations than Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol"--there's the excellent George C. Scott version, the delightful Muppet version, the charming Mr. Magoo version, etc., etc. But ultimately true "Carol" lovers should go back to Dickens' original text, which remains a great read.

"Carol" tells the story of cold-hearted miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who despises the Christmas holiday and scorns all who celebrate it. But a visit from a series of supernatural beings forces him to reevaluate his attitude--and his life.

With this simple plot Dickens has created one of the enduring triumphs of world literature. It's a robust mix of humor, horror, and (most of all) hope, all leavened with a healthy dash of progressive social criticism. One thing I love about this book is that while it has a focus on a Christian holiday, Dickens puts forth a message that is truly universal; I can imagine this story resonating with people of any religious background, and also with more secular-oriented people.

This is a tale of greed, selfishness, regret, redemption, family, and community, and is enlivened by some of the most memorable characters ever created for English literature. Even if Dickens had never written another word, "A Christmas Carol" would still have, I believe, secured his place as one of the great figures of world literature.

Heartwarming conversion of a soul
Charles Dickens writes this story in such detail that you almost believe you have just enjoyed Christmas dinner at the Cratchits home. The characters have so much depth. The made for t.v. or movie screen renditions do not truly depict what Ebenezer Scrooge witnesses with the three spirits that causes such a change in his outlook on life. Such as Scrooge's emotions being quickened by the past heartache in his childhood; seeing how his bad choices caused the hardening of his heart and how deeply it cost him in the end; seeing what could have been his to enjoy and then thinking it could still be his with the Spirit of Christmas Present only to find out the future does not hold any love or joy for him by the Spirit of Christmas Yet to Come and instead his actions leave him robbed at death and no one left to grieve for him. Read the book to hear how this story was really written. Even if you have seen every Christmas Carol movie every made, the book will offer so many gold nuggets that you will think you are hearing it for the very first time. Pictures are beautifully detailed throughout the book. Excellent!!!

We Love CottonTale Books!
My son is barely 2 years old and can actually sit through a whole CottonTale book. He constantly brings them to me, asking for "Bunny, Mama, Bunny!" The pages are sturdy cardboard, and there are only about 10 pages per book, with only a couple of sentences per page. The drawings are colorful, and the lessons are great. In So, Mad Bunny, Little Bunny learns about keeping his temper. Which is a great lesson for the 2-year-old crowd!

Each book ends with a simple verse from the Everyday Bible: In So, Mad Bunny it is James 1:20 "Anger will not help you live a good life as God wants." It is a gentle reminder to me, as well, when I read to my son: Anger doesn't help my son, and it doesn't help me, either. A good lesson for the parent-of-2-year-old crowd!

A great gift for new moms
What a resource for a new mom. Any problem or praise concerning raising children is covered and a comfort. You realize you are not facing anything alone, God is with you and knows your concerns and joys. Others have been there before you, you will want to share this with mom's-to-be, as I do at each shower I attend.
