Extraordinary Women of the Medieval and Renassiance World is a delightful and informative mosaic of beautifully crafted, thourougly researched, and intensly interesting biographies of some of history's most courageous, resourceful and amazing women. One of the most wonderful aspects of this book, is that its content is not confined to women of the Occident, or meerly to "famous" females. Rather it pays homage to many incredible women from all over the globe, whose stories might have otherwise slipped through the cracks of posterity, depriving us all (but especially women)of a vital facet of our heritage. As a women this book augmented my sense of an inter-generational legacy, and I feel it should be a standard text in world history!
