Good Book
This book is about a fairy unlike any other. She cannot keep still while the elder is teaching. Primrose(her enemy) always has something to say about why she is so fidgety. She is the first woodfairy ever in recorded history to go out of the the clearing. She likes high places and loud noises unlike any other fairy who is afraid to go high and loud things. Her friend(Ivy) is the only one who will come to her house. This book is for people who feel like they dont fit in but love great adventures or for somebody who loves to read great books!

Bob Kendall's PR Campaign Strategies
Professor Kendall, recently retired from active teaching at the University of Florida, crafted an excellent text for those serious about a systematic approach to meeting an organization's public relations goals. Dr. Kendall includes research methods and case studies to aid the PR practitioner in conducting a campaign and the student in understanding how effective public relations ought to be conducted. As an ex-student of Dr. Kendall and a contributer of a small case study he included in his 2nd edition, I am pleased this book has received favor in the public relations community.

Applied Public Relations
Robert Kendall was absolutely superb in applying many of the basic concepts of public relations to actual campaign implementation strategies. His Public Relations Campaign Strategies, a book devoted entirely to the RACE model of public relations with which all PR majors are familiar, teaches those pursuing a career in public relations how to put the basic and the not-so-basic concepts of the model to practice. While emphasizing the important role research plays in PR campaign planning, implementation, and evaluation without condemning creativity, Kendall created a guide that should be on the desk or bookshelf of every working practitioner of public relations. And as if these weren't enough, Kendall provides case studies to bring his concepts to life. To say the least, Public Relations Campaign Strategies is fun, educational, and applyable reading.

Great Catalog
I thought this book was great! The pictures of the objects are beautiful. Where a picture could not be obtained there is usually a detailed sketch of the object. The descriptions give not only insight into use of the archaological object but also surrounding information like similar objects and archeological context. Then the essays descibe the time period and unknown/debated issue of Egyptian Archeology. As a newbie to Egyptian Archaeology I found the book easy to read and felt that things were explained well.

Best generic text on standards...
This book is written by the co-authors of ASCD's content standards for K-12 education. This book addresses the other side of the coin: performance standards. How shall we evaluate what children do in school? What can teachers do, as part of their standards, to help youngsters perform well?

This is the best generic text in this area. The actual performance standards that you construct will be different--they will be your own--but this book will give teachers ways to begin implementing your standards. (Other sources include Modern Red Schoolhouse, Nashville TN, which has the most elegant methods available.) This book also addresses the needs of principals, curriculum coordinators, and district supervisors.

All in all, a good beginning...

Definitive Tribute to an Important American Artist
At last, John Curry has a book in print worthy of his art. Ms. Junker has suceeded in paying a noble yet sadly overdue tribute to this unique and often neglected artist. Curry's paintings capture the emotion and natural force of American scenes in a way that was very much his own. Works like "Tornado over Kansas" and the scene of John Brown in "A Tragic Prelude" embody some of the greatest expressions of conflict to be found in American art.

A Precedent Setter
This is the daring book by former teacher Robert Kendall that blew the lid off an indifferent establishment within the Los Angeles City Schools system and resulted in legislation enacting standards for high school graduation.

"White Teacher in a Black School" surged to international bestseller status following the outbreak of the Watts Riots, which Kendall's riveting book seemingly predicted as African American community leaders joined Kendall and other concerned educators in urging a reformed educational system imposing standards for passage from grade to grade and ultimately high school graduation.

"White Teacher" is written in the manner of a fast-paced novel with an agenda which surpasses in sociological sweep the popular film to which some people compare it, "Blackboard Jungle" starring Glenn Ford and Sidney Poitier. The events depicted in "White Teacher" were drawn from fact, encompassing two years Kendall spent in Los Angeles area minority schools. Kendall's rapid-paced first person narrative has him telling the story as "Mr. Brent," an idealistic young teacher posted to a trouble-ridden South Los Angeles school where "weapons check" is the first order of business when students arrive. When Brent seeks to immediately impose a solid curriculum to challenge students he is confronted by the school's principal, Mr. Towers, who explains that "as long as it looks as if the student is trying, then that student should be passed to the next grade." The class consists of one retarded youngster, Captain Smith, who crawls on his hands and knees, sits at one point on Brent's desk and blows on his hair, and finishes the year by proudly showing his teacher his achievement, an illegible attempt to copy the Yellow Pages of the Los Angeles Telephone Directory. One student, George Washington, is a class leader who helps Brent overcome adversity by unruly students. The chief class disrupter is Billy Parish, who at one point pulls a knife on his teacher.

"White Teacher in a Black School" was a book ahead of its time, one which helped lead the fight toward the adoption of standard testing prior to obtaining high school diplomas. Not only did it sell briskly in the United States. The book was also a major success in England, France and Switzerland, where it was published by companies in those nations.

Getting the Most From Your New Strong's: A Complete How-to-Use Book

Not really worth it
Kendall presents here what is basically a common-sense introduction to the use of Strong's Concordance. Look up the word in the Concordance, get the word's number, look it up in the dictionary. Pretty simple, really. Unfortunately, though, he acts as if the root of a word is the same as the definition; this is not quite true. Getting the root does help with a deeper understanding, but it's not the "true" definition of the word. A few of the examples (ref. John 1:1) are also flawed, as he throws in his own explanation (along the lines "but of course that's not what it means because of X"). The coupons in the back are a nice value, though.

If you've never done even the most cursory etymology, this book might be useful for about five minutes. Otherwise, it might not be worth your money.

Great companion to Strong's...
So, you have purchased a Strong's and you want to know how to use it. Strong's is thick enough to warrant a little how-to manual. And this book fills the need nicely.

It goes into the basics of working with Strong's--how to do word searches as well as some other techniques that will greatly benefit your study time.

Remember, for any Bible tool, the better you know how to use it, the better that tool will serve you. Just a few dollars spent on learning how to use Strong's now will pay off in spades down the road.

Since this book is so affordable, do yourself a favor and get this book. And then use your Strong's with confidence.

Great for getting started with your Strong's Concordance
Robert P. Kendall's book, Getting The Most From Your New Strong's Exhausive Bible Concordance, allows for the beginning bible student to look up words back the the hebrew, greek, and chaldea. This book gives you step-by-step instruction on how to look up words back to its original language. It allows the reader how to understand and how to insert it into the passage they are reading. The book is only 54 pages long, and it goes from easy to hard word translations ( I shouldn't say hard just requires more digging and thought). If you have the desire to learn more from God's word and have recently bought a Strong's Concordance or just thinking about it, then purchase this book. It is short, to the point, and enhances your bible studys. So if you are interest in in depth knowledge of God's word, through the use of Strong's concordance then dig through your change jar and buy this book.

Market Perspective Long Forgotten
Robert, uses trends in society. He also uses the "Elliot Wave Principle." It was very interesting.

The book is set-up like a interview. It's easy to read. A introduction about Prechter and his techniques and how he times the market.

I learned of Prechter from a Tony Robbins interview.
