Highly Recommended for Aspiring Graduate Students
This is a well researched book that provides many step-by-step instructions in a manner that is easy and enjoyable to read. This book was used in a "How to get into grad school" seminar in the Psychology department at my undergrad university. Now, two years into my clinical doctoral program, the information in this book rings increasingly true as I have served as student representative for our clinical appplication process. My copy of the book is now tattered from loaning it to all of my friends with advanced interests in the field who inquire about graduate school. While its no substitute for hard work and persistence, this book will help you market yourself to the best of your ability. I cannot recommend this book enough!

Great Resource!
I bought this book several years ago and it has provided me with a great deal of insight into the graduate school process. I highly recommend this book for any one interested in graduate psychology programs. The author has helpful insight for every stage of the graduate school process.

Very Helpful
This book was a great help in telling you all the little things you need to consider when applying for graduate school. It also tells you how to go about the application process, from example letters requesting application materials, to how to write up your C. V. This book gave me the answers when no one else seemed to know and went over the niceties concerning the application process (how to decline an offer, should you visit, the importance of the appearance of your application). I know a lot of these things may appear to be insignificant, but when you're so stressed about getting in, why not do the most you can to improve your chances? You never know, and this book helped me through it. And I DID get in to my number one choice.

Practicing Therapists "Must Read" Each Year
Ethics in Psychology is a graduate level textbook on the subject of ethical dilemmas in counseling. The authors definitely meet their goal in exploring the APA's Ethical guidelines and applying them pratically to the practicing therapist and academic. Their use of humorous "psuedo-psychologists" illustrate well the problem of many counselors who get themselves into ethical dilemmas each year innocently. I believe every therapist and academic should read this book at least once a year in order to minimize the ethical issues that are a part of everyday practice. Non-APA practitioners may find the book slanted toward doctoral-level therapists being the minimum for competence but there is great wisdom in this book.
