The reading of "Lucy Winchester" written by Carol Kauffman
I was A young girl in my preteens when I first came across this book at A church I attended. Though prior to checking this book out of the church library I requested that I be babtised and was. This book is so very inspirational! I've been searching for it for many years now. I am 30 years old and A mother of 4 young sons. This book I have wished to have on several occasions so as to offer it to persons I have meet along my path. Carol Kauffman receives an excellent thumbs up from me. I would also like to read some more of her works in the future.

Hidden Rainbow
This fabulous book gives you a look into the life and struggles of a young Yugoslavian couple back in the turn of the century. It shows the strong ties families had to their religion as well as the persecution those who found and accepted Christ went through. As you read this suspensful page turning book, you can't help but smile and remember that God always keeps his promises to those who truely believe and fully trust in Him.

Hidden Rainbow is a hidden gem
Hidden Rainbow is a book about struggling. Its about standing up for what you believe in, because its right, even when your whole community shuns you and your family avoids you. The only choice it seems is to flee the country and leave everything behind. Why risk it all? What could make a person so sure that they would give up the only life they ever knew? Trust. If there is only one thing this book teaches, it is to trust. trust that God has everything in control and no matter what happens He will guide you, keep you and protect you if you trust. A powerful novel, its hard to put down and hard to forget.

A convicting story of what it means to suffer for Christ
John and Anna Olesh, a hard working Yugoslavian couple, struggle to raise their family in the poverty of pre-WWI Serbia. Their difficulties increase when they turn from the superstitious sprituality they have known their whole lives, toward the Light and Truth that they know they must embrace.

Best Book I Ever Read
My great-grandmother Stella gave me this book when I was 15 years old. I have read the book about 8 times in the last ten years. It is the best book that I have ever read. Very inspiring. All ages would enjoy!

A mother's unself loving toward God and her family
This is undoubtedly the most spiritually captivating book that I have read. I have read this book twice, a rare thing. Each time, it brings tears running down my cheek and a flood of joy and peace that take away the bitterness for the husband character. It is truly a light from heaven shining through a mother of courage, faith, determination and deep committment to God.

Excellent Story
I have read this book 4 times, each time I read it, it is as moving as the first. It is an incredible story about an abusive home. It brings both joy and pain when reading, but is a story that truly touches the heart. I recommend this book for the young and old alike. Once you start reading it, you won't want to set it down.

For One Moment
I really enjoyed this book. I have read all of Christmas Carol Kauffman's books, and have been inspired by them all. She had a very special way of writing that really touches the heartstrings. I would recommend her books to anyone. It's a shame that most of them are out of print, and an even bigger shame that she isn't around to write more of them!

"Escape From Kyburg Castle" same book as "Not Regina"
Going by two different titles, this compelling story of a young lady is bound to captivate any reader. Regina is unsettled in her heart as she watches good friends being imprisoned or disappearing from the country, because of their religious beliefs. Switzerland's government is one with the church during these turbulent early 1500's, and the Anbaptist teaching against infant baptism is thus against the government. Persecution is implemented in attempt to squelch this new doctrine, yet many people knowingly choose to become Anabaptist. Regina prays for the truth, which promises peace to her heart, and is worth any price. Suspense, adventure and romance mark this story as Regina also finds true love from a young man, demonstrated by his willingness to die for her, in her search for the Truth. This would not be a first choice as a read-aloud book, but great reading on infant-baptism versus adult-baptism-upon-confession, for teens or adults. This book is inspirational, challenging any serious Christian to examine their own convictions and their own willingness to endure any persecution to hold onto the Truth as God has revealed it to them. It challenges any reader to desire Truth above anything else.
