More than what it is
The coolest thing about this book isn't just the great short stories or the totally original presentation of psychological concepts through those stories. The coolest thing is the implied approach. The idea behind the book--that to study man we must study his expressions together with his behavior and biology--is what really makes the book so awesome. A great supplemental read for an integrated humanities course. If only someone would do an updated edition!

Good science fiction stories with psychology themes
This book was used as a textbook for an Introductory Psychology course I took in 1975. In spite of the fact that it was written as a textbook, it is an excellent read for short stories. Luckily, I happen to like the science fiction genre, and found almost all of the chapters (stories?) very well written. I can't remember discussing this book in class, although I'm sure it must have been included. There are entries about Skinner Boxes, telepathic animals, walking dream worlds, homicidal maniacs, and many other themes in which psychology is so rich. The good part about this book is that, while it introduces these themes to one who might be unfamiliar, it also unfolds them in a manner that does not broadcast that theme from the start. Thus, they are a good read for the psychologist as well. I came to Amazon to get another copy, as mine disappeared several years ago and I want it back!

Introduction to Programming Using Ada

A very good book for reference purposes
This is the Ada book I turn to first if I have questions on syntax or how to deal with specific programming topics. It has a good index and handles topics I've not yet encountered in other Ada books. I would recommend this to someone starting in the language who wants a decent reference. It may be less helpful to someone with many years of Ada experience, but I'd still give it a look.

Is Marine Biology the right career for you?
This book tells a lot of great information on how to start a career of marine biology. You learn about how a marine biologist decided to be a marine biologist and if marine biology is the right occupation for you. This book was very helpful since I'm planning on being a marine biologist. It also teaches you about the kingdoms of the sea and their Latin names. In addition to this great book there is a wonderful cd. It tells you all about this marine biologist and her life. Also it shows you pictures of what she sees when she dives . I think the cd is really the big learning help. It is full of facts. This is a great learning opportunity for youngsters. I give this book 4 golden stars!

Paleontology Rocks
This book is a good one for a girl, like me, who wants to be a paleontologist. The illustrations are very colorful and it has some pretty good information in it. At the end of the book the author gives some kind of "lesson plans". The author tells you about her own experience as a paleontologist and gives you some ideas on how to decide if this is the right career for you. All in all this is a pretty good book. I think I would recommend it.
