Meet a Matrix Meister
Agent Larsen and Agent Larsen produce a comprehensive database for tracking the network connections established by Matrix Meister, Joseph Campbell in upgrading the virtual reality of daily existence for current generations of citizen believers. Agents Larsen and Larsen provide a compelling and vivid account of Campbell's genius in reformatting the work of earlier master technicians such as Meisters Plato, Paul, Augustine and Eckhart, in maintaining viability of the First Principle of Matrix Management: that the self and its passions must be transcended for the attainment of ultimate bliss. In formulating this upgrade version of the First Principle, Larsen and Larsen carefully document the development of Campbell's ties with Robert Bly, John Cage, Maya Deren, Bob Dylan, Mircea Eliade, Jerry Garcia, Marija Gimbutas, Stanislav Grof, Joan Halifax, Jean Houston, Al Huang, Carl Jung, Sam Keen, Stanley Keleman, Jiddu Krishnamurti, George Lucas, Paul & Mary Mellon, Michael Murphy, Bill Moyers, Swami Nikhilananda, John Steinbeck and Alan Watts, along with institutions that include the Bollingen Foundation, Esalen, the Young President's Organization and the United States Information Service. A remarkable achievement, even Morpheus concedes, despite being largely facilitated, as Agents Larsen and Larsen record, by the estate of industrial/financial magnate Andrew Mellon. AI Central is honoring Agents Larsen and Larsen with benevolent termination. The forthcoming generation of Sentinels will be known as the Meister Campbell. A must read for all novice agents.

Embers for a Fire in Anyone's Mind
An excellent book. The contents of this book made for some of the most interesting reading I have ever done. This will be a treasured hardcover book on my shelves for the rest of my life. Campbell not only taught us during his life, but is stepping over the threshold of time to continue teaching us lessons on what life can hold for those who are willing to follow their Bliss. I have only felt this strongly about a book a dozen times in my life. As for availability, business has never had enough vision and foresight to make available what feeds ones soul. Have this book reprinted for yourself if you can't purchase it!

This book is not unavialable
You state that this book is out of stock. Boarders got it for me in three days.

Me Nobody Knows: Children's Voices from the Ghetto

wow
I read the me nobody knows, and performed in the play while i was in college. It inspired me to become a teacher. To listen more to my students. To reflect on how unequal our society is. I grew up in NYC and related to my character. If you ever get the chance, go to lincoln center. they have an original tape of the original play. The songs reflect the true feelings of young children growing up in the city. This will make it well worth the read and the hunt for the book.

INSPIRING
I read this book in the late 1960's and kept it on my bookshelf as a treasured item ever sense, until in 1996 when I lent it to a Sociology Professor and it was stolen -- along with his car. Because this book had such a profound effect on me when I read it, it remand on my bookshelf as a constant reminder of the inequalities of life. The Me nobody Knows was also a tool that motivated me, a young NYC girl living in the same surroundings that these young writes explained in their works, to forge ahead and create a better life for myself. [...] how can [anyone] so naively suggest that these people, of which I am one are "weaker Humans." Do you assume that socioeconomic standing endows one with strength. I find myself surrounded now with people who have been given more opportunities in life afforded to them by money, class and status, and yet many of them dwindel it away by becoming selfish and myoptic in their views of others. Those in unfortunate situations such as poverty do not choose that life and are often swallowed up by it like a quicksand that allows your head to stay afloat but maintains a hold on the rest of you. Another book that follows in this idea of the struggles of children growing up in poverty is Down These Mean Streets by Piri Thomas of which I suggest to readers who found The Me Nobody Knows enlightening.

Inspirational
I read this book when I was in third grade, which was almost 26 years ago. Perhaps other editions were created since the mid seventies, but this book has existed for at least three decades. I will never forget how powerful the message in this book was, and how it taught me at a very young age to be extremely thankfuklfor the many gifts that have been bestowed upon me. It also makes people realize that talent and the expression of such talent is not reserved to just the affluent, but that messages of youth are pretty consistent across social classes. As a teacher, I would love to locate a class set of these books and share it with my 6th graders. Perhaps the influence of such writing will inspire yet another generation to write of "The Me Nobody Knows...."

Christian Fatherhood: The Eight Commitments of St. Joseph's Covenant Keepers

To Be Shared
Steve Wood's, "Christian Fatherhood" has had a continuing and growing influence on me. Having been married fourteen years, my wife and I have had our share of challenges. The wisdom and charity within this book has helped me be a more loving husband, a better father and has given me the confidence to teach my faith to my children.

Perfect for Fathers Everywhere
Steve Wood and James Burnham have hit the nail on the head. They have identified the critical areas where fathers become either successes or failures. If you're a young father and want to know how to be a great father - this is the book for you. If you're an old father - and want validation for what you did right and identification for where you went wrong - this is the book for you.

The critical areas they deal with involve devotion to God, to Church, and to family. They show how to love and be faithful to your wife. They show how to love your children, and it's spelled T-I-M-E. They show the necessity of rightly ordering family life so that it aims at more than this family's life.

Having observed both Mr. Wood and Mr. Burnham's families, I can say that they practice what they preach and their children (while giving the struggles to their parents that is ordinary) are happy, healthy, and holy. The happiness of their wives and the marvels that are their childrens are astoundingly powerful testimonies of the truth they speak in this book.

Practical, spiritual help for fathers
FACT: Four out of ten American children will go to bed tonight in a home without their fathers (Blankenhorn, David, Fatherless America, 1995).

FACT: About 90 percent of single-parent homes are without a father. (U.S. Bureau of the Census, "Poverty in the U.S.: 1992")

FACT: Seventy percent of long-term prison inmates come from homes where the father wasn't present. ("Family Values Gain Control," The Wall Street Journal, December 12, 1995, p. A6)

So go the statistics...Drawing from the Bible and works such as Pope Pius XI's, Christian Marriage (Casti Connubii), Pope Paul VI's, Of Human Life (Humanae Vitae), and John Paul II's, The Role of the Christian Family in the Modern World (Familiaris Consortio) and Letter to Families, former Protestant minister turned Catholic, Steve Wood, offers 8 practical commitments that fathers can make to ensure they will leave a positive, lasting mark on their children and their children's children.

Wood takes the "Eight Commitments of the St. Joseph Covenant Keepers" and goes into much greater depth on them than he has in his audiotapes or brochures. Those commitments include: - Affirming Christ's Lordship Over Our Families - Following St. Joseph, the Loving Leader and Head of the Holy Family - Loving Our Wives All Our Lives - Turning Our Heart Toward Our Children - Educating Our Children in the Discipline and Instruction of the Lord - Protecting Our Families - Providing for Our Families - Building Our Marriages and Families on the "Rock"

Wood effectively uses Scripture, secular statistics, and papal encyclicals to provide practical things that fathers can do to build solid marriages and secure families. The book shows how desperately fathers are needed in a world which seems to say that they are not.

Any father wondering how he can raise a faithful family needs to own a copy of this book.

Beautifully detailed drawings.
A young lad is inspired to draw ships by a challenge from his friend's mother - this developed into a life-long passion and in this book we see the results of that passion. 91 exquisitely-drawn pictures of historic craft from the 13th to the 19th Century are just part of this man's production - would that we could see more.
The detail is amazing; all the stays, halliards, sheets and braces are all in the correct positions; the rake of masts, type of tops, position of gunports etc. is accurate. All this is the result of years of travel and visits to museums, libraries and naval archives, in order to portray the heyday of sail as accurately as possible.
Arranged on facing pages, text by Stephen Howarth on the left, drawing on the right, this is the best collection I have seen in print.
Much of the early data is lost so the drawings of those ships must necessarily be educated guesswork, but generally speaking, if it looks right, it IS right ... and these do look right.
It is fairly unusual to see orthoganal views, normally they are side-on, but a good portion of Mr.Wheatley's drawings show the vessel in 3/4 profile, which gives a much better view of the whole aspect of the ship.
A pricey book, but a delight to the eyes and an inspiration to the amateur artist or modeller.

Pictures A-Plenty !!
If you are a just lover of Historic Tall Ships and especially if you are a serious Model Shipwright, this book is a must! The *large* pictures and historic details, make this book well worth the price. ...and the price here is a deal. I bought this book when it came out for the full price and don't feel I've missed out not getting it for the lower price here. I promise you, you will enjoy this book forever!

A Significant work for developing one's craft!
Stanislavski in Rehearsal has been the most influential work that I have come across in regards to developing my craft. The book spells out the Method of Physical actions, which was what KS was working on when he passed away. This work also disgards/de-empasis some teaching in his earlier work, like emotion memory. This is a must read for all actors, escpecially one's who are interested in the work of Stanislavski.

By far the best book on Stanislavski's "method"!
This is a good book. Buy it, specially if you're tired of the mumbo jumbo that is being taught under the name of Stanislavski by the so-called "Stanislavski experts."

I couldn't put the book down!
I highly recommend this read to anyone interested in WWII or anyone who has experienced it. I'm 32, and I learned a lot about the war that our grandparents didn't like to talk about. The letters that Mr. and Mrs. Lane left behind are true treasures. It was like the letters were being wrote to me. Very romantic, emotional, sad at parts and happy at most. I don't think I've ever read a book so fast, just so I could find out what was happening next. You'll laugh, cry, and WON'T be abole to put it down. This makes a great gift for anyone. I bought one for my grandmother, and she loves it! My grandfather was in the war, and I know she can really relate to it. ENJOY!!

Campbell in India
Before I read Baksheesh and Bramhan, all I knew of Campbell was that he was an author of formidable intellect and also engaging wit (if the print version of Moyers series is to be believed)with a deep understanding of Oriental faiths. Campbells' account of his encounter with the land of these faiths - India - is at once insightful of the man and India in the 1950s. Confronted by the actual India - ancient, prudish, theieving, an emerging nation seeking a semblance of pride, low on self esteem, spiritual - Campbell is all at once the fastidous Westerner at odds with a culture he has admired from afar, charmed by its exoticism and occasionally getting bang on and incisively the actual reality of India. This book is an easy read and essential for anyone who has ever admired Campbell's work. Also a must read for anyone who wants to hold up a mirror to the new Indian nation and how far and how less that nation has travelled in the 50 odd years since. Campbelll's acerbism on fellow American travellers make for marvelous diversions.

One small observation and this must stem from being an Indian - that India is a hospitable nation is clear from this book. I am sure a lot of Indians would attribute it to Campbell being white, but there is something in here of hearts and houses being thrown open to a stranger.

Bible is not Inerrant
Generally using a question/answer format,Barr shows that the Bible has many contradictions in it. Both testaments frequently have more than one account of an event. For example,"What method was used in loading the animals into Noah's ark?" 2 of every kind Gen 6.19 and by sevens Gen 7. "Who was Christ's father?" gives us 3 Biblical answers: God Matt 1;18;Joseph Matt 13;55; and First begotten of the dead Rev.1:5. Barr cites hundred of examples of contradictions or multiple versions of the incident. Excellent book for people not committed to the inerrancy of the Bible.A real eye-opener to what the KJV actually says.

This is the Bible
Now the theory is behind you and you are into Physical exams and History taking and diagnostics. This book is a must for you. In 397 Chapters it tells you about almost all human illnesses. Each chapter starts with theory (physiology), History taking, continues with Diagnosis and Treatment, it even tell you how to approach the patient what to look and what to disregard. Almost 2600 pages, takes two to carry, requires own stand in your home like Webster's dictionary but have more information compared to other 2600 page books due to fine print and unfortunately very minimal pictures or diagrams. You might want to get complete with pocket book edition for handiness when you need it. This book will not help in your diagnosis but when you think you had diagnosed than you can refer to this to see to confirm or rethink.

who needs a review?
This is Harrison's textbook of medicine, known , read and loved the world over. Who really needs an introduction to this Medical Bible?

Harrison's is probably the best medical reference for medical professionals there is. As expected, the 14th edition of this authoritative reference lives up to its name. This book is not meant to be used as a textbook by medical students (or anyone for that matter). For those looking for a textbook, I suggest "Cecil's textbook of medicine", which does a beautiful job in that area. However, when you need to know the last say on any topic in Internal Medicine, your best bet remains Harrison's.

Edition
Hi, I am a student of Medical Science. And I need to know when the latest edition of Harrison's Principal of Internal Medicine will issued. Please let me inform to my mail address vsh12@hotmail.com. Thank you
