Best book on later model Deere's
This is a great book on late model John Deere equipment from around the world. It is filled with color photos. It describes equipment chronologically and by type. Not only does it discuss agricultural equipment but it covers construction and lawn and garden equipment. There are charts on equipment statistics and it has a large section on the "New Generation of Power". If you are interested in later model Deeres, then I highly recommend this book.

BEST BOOK EVER!!!
If you are into John Deere during these years, this is the book to have. Awesome. I want to run out and paint my car green.

Macmillan excells.
Don Macmillan has produced a work of art. He has taken archieve and personal knowledge and combined them to produce a masterpiece of tractor and equiptment history.

Excellent EM primer
I actually had the opportunity to receive instruction from Prof. Bozzola in both Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and acquired the book for those reasons. It is not common to find even a textbook with such well-detailed instructions from beginning level to advanced for a myriad of topics in the field. Of course, there is a very significant focus on biological applications, so some portions of the book are not entirely relevant to materials science folks like myself. This book covers the basics of optics, sample preparation, imaging, photography and film developing, and specifics about both TEMs and SEMs. This book is a very good investment for anyone intending to perform work with such instruments.

If you are learning EM you must have this book...
This is a great book for those entering the field of EM study. It takes you step by step through both SEM and TEM sample prep and analysis. It is packed with helpful pictures and diagrams. It will be a book you will refer to for methodology and protocal from fixation to sectioning...I really love this book.

Medieval Eyes
In death, SIR EDWARD BURNE-JONES became the first artist to have funeral services at Westminster Abbey. In life, he put his Oxford University studies in medieval legend and literature to work in Graham piano decorations, King Arthur theatre sets for the Lyceum, and Theatre of London book illustrations. His first decorative work was a Chaucerean design, and his collaboration with William Morris on the Kelmscott Press Illustrated Chaucer was impressive. "Astrologia" shared his favorite sphere motif with "Days of Creation," "Hope," and such portraits as the "Baronne Deslandes." "Golden Stairs" included his recipe for painting success: musical instruments. "Laus Veneris" had the finest of his tapestry-like surface patterns. "Pan and Psyche" was set in one of his typical landscapes: mysteriously dreamlike, with legendary incidents. "Star of Bethlehem" was a watercolor of his "Adoration of the Magi" tapestry: his original stained glass and tapestry designs tended to show up later in paintings. "Temperantia" pioneered his hallmark elaborately folded and wrinkled draperies. But his art also found lighter moments in caricatures and comic sketches, such as his illustrated "Letters to Kate," daughter of lawyer friend George Lewis. Russell Ash's beautifully illustrated, well-written book makes good 19th-century reading with Timothy Hilton's THE PRE-RAPHAELITES, Lionel Lambourne's VICTORIAN PAINTING, Julian Treuherz's VICTORIAN PAINTING, and Malcolm Warner's THE VICTORIANS.

Inspiring!
Did you ever have a problem of communicating "do the right thing- for the right reason" to a child? What do you think would happen if your child would sit down and read a book
and share the ideas with you that are discussed in the book?
Russel and Lin Jones' have the uncanny ability to "connect."
Their simple approach should not be considered "simplistic."They obviously have a knack of telling real life stories that are appealling to the young reader. And, probably more importantly their stories have a point that strikes right to the struggles of most young people.
Then if that is not enough the authors challenge the youthful reader. If they have been touched by the words in this book and they want to apply some of what they have learned the authors ask the reader to "pledge" their commitment to be themselves -- to grow and enjoy life. What a neat message. What a neat book! This is probably the only book my two children have read and reread! Now that's saying something about the book!

The Ultimate Reference
This is the boxed set you have been waiting for. In the exhaustive four volume set, an entire volume is devoted to the ADO Object Mode. The properties and methods that have mystified you are clearly and thoroughly explained rather than merely listed in tables with cursory descriptions as in other books. The volume on ASP and ISS proved invaluable in improving the performance of our company's mission critical live web reports. Just as on a scale from one to ten, reserving tens for angels in heaven, I rated this set four stars, the highest earthly praise I could bestow. The enclosed CD is a bonus.

Too theoretical
This is not a bad book, however, there are better ones out there. The author assumes absolutely no previous programing experience and therefore even includes a HTML tutorial, which is unnecessary in my opinion. Why would you get into ASP if you don't even know basic HTML? Moreover, the examples provided are too far removed from reality. The author just piles on the different objects, requests etc. without giving evidence of them being actually useful in real life. This book is more of a reference than anything else. For actually starting ASP, I'd rather recommend "Sams teach yourself ASP in 21 days", supplemented by Wrox's "Beginning ASP databases" if you're into more serious development.

Great Reference Tool... Webdevs must have this!
I was a raw beginner to ASP when I bought this book, I couldn't even read and write to a text file. This book covers starts at the very beginning with HTML and develops into scripting and then into ASP itself.

It is an excellent reference tool. It covers the ASP Objects (Request, Response, Sessions, etc.) and succinctly covers the methods and properties by listing them in charts and exampling the fundamental use of the Objects using code samples.

This book also covers CDONTS, which is an Object that can be used to send email via ASP code. CDONTS comes with IIS 4.0 or better. As well as several other optional Objects that ship with IIS.

Want to connect to an Access Database? No problem, this book covers the ADODB Object and also covers rudimentary SQL to construct queries. There is also an Instant Reference available from the same author that is handy, when you don't want to lug around a big book!

Best ASP book for Beginner through Intermediate
Thirty chapters of very well taught material. The first half of the book is a very clear introduction to the ASP environment and how to use the intrinsic objects. The second covers other scripting objects, ADO, MTS, XML and how to plan your web site for scalability. The many code examples on the CD are concise, efficient, and scalable. I refer to them frequently. Although the book contains many examples of accessing databases through ADO in VBScript, he points out that this kind of thing is done much more efficiently in a COM component. He shows how to build VB COM components and how to use them in MTS through ASP. Most of the code is in VBScript; however, the surprising inclusion of JScript client side scripting and XML client and server side programming make for a very pleasant and well rounded learning experience. After bringing it to work, two coworkers also ordered it. I cannot think of a better recommendation than that.
