sci-fi today but in these ever changing times who can tell
With the strange occurrences of: lost people in and around the Bermuda Triangle; the strange paintings on the walls of pyramids all over the world; the strange designs seen from the sky looking back at field or landscapes make you wonder are we alone. One could ask have we been visited before and are we still being visited or studied. What if we are not being visited on purpose, what if just a natural phenomenon that we are not aware of is opening a pathway between our world and another dimension. Or a worm hole opening and closing while connecting worlds that may be light years apart. "Earth Has Been Found" opens all these possibilities and then throws a alien life form that adapts itself to earth so well that man finds his very existence threatened.

The alien is not interested in communicating with man it only follows its instincts. Man on the other hand is in a hurry to find out as much as he can about his new found rival for planet dominance. The ending must be thought about and reflected on and then you will realize cleaverness of the writer in coming to that particular ending.

Sci Fi with a Theological Twist
This work not only delivers a plot of world mayhem through an invading force of creatures, but it begs the reader to ponder the theological implications such things pose. The author cites an example of some 'entity' pulling airplanes from time and space as we know it such as we would grab a ladybug from a bush and then replacing it, possibly infecting it with some parasite just as the planes became infected with Xenos. The question it asks is that if we are not alone, who, or what, else is with us, causing this collision of worlds?

Exciting and believable world wide Disaster story/adventure
I really enjoyed the story-line of "Denver is Missing". It starts with a deep sea oil rig drilling for oil. The oil bit shatters unexpectedly, halting drilling. Several hours later, bubbles are observed breaking the surface of the water. The scientists on board realize that the bit must have been blown up from hitting a gas pocket. Not knowing what kind of gas (and shocked by the force of it destroying the bit), they draw the ship back. The next morning, what had been just bubbles has now become a visible gasious water spout - shooting upwards into the sky. The sheer pressure of the gas to push through tons of seawater and maintain a solid column means the gas pocket is HUGE. Turns out the gas is inert - but becomes a massive cloud which starts to cirle the earth. Where ever it crosses, oxygen is diluted and all living begin to suffocate. Denver - the mile high city - is the first city where this disaster occurs (but not the last). After weeks of the gas spout activity, the enormous ocean pocket left by the displaced gas collapses - causing multiple Tidal waves which span the globe. This story is told from the viewpoint of a handful of characters who try to escape via an ocean going sailboat. How they manage to survive through these disasters (especially the Tidal waves) is well told. We see how the world changes through their eyes, up to the new world order which is established in the wake of the ongoing menace of the gas cloud. The only drawback to this story is that the characters are dated (1950s), with the unfortunate sterotypical thinking of those times. A little tweaking into a modern screenplay would make this an action movie with great visuals. A delight for the imaginative (and what bookworm isn't?).

Fall of Colossus
I do not read books often, but recently I discovered that Colossus: The Forbin Project was a series of Books. So I bought a used copy of The Fall of Colossus. Frankly, the book is a bit dated. However, it did answer many questions I had after the movie left off. The book was interesting and the writing was very Brittish, but clear and consis enough to follow and keep me interested. I recomend it if you want to find out what happens.
