Searched for Years for this one
I read this book when I was in Jr. High and now I am grown with my own family... This book has made a lifetime impression on me and I have been looking to buy this book again for years. I had loaned it to someone and it was never returned... This book is well worth reading, especially if you or someone you know had had a young pregnancy.

This book is terrific!
I read this book when I was in the 6th grade. I'm now a junior in high school and it is now that everything this book said has meaning. I think that maybe some of the book's content was over my head and under my feet, but now everything comes into perspective. I suggest that any girl having problems with faith or feelings should read this.

Recommended for any teen girl
I am now in my twenties, but I remember reading this book in the 6th grade. While it may have been a little early for me - some was well over my head, I think it is better for kids to learn too soon what can happen when you have unprotected sex, than too late. It is presented in an entertaining manner that attracts young readers, yet instills in them the hard facts about teen sex. I would recommend this to any parent, and I hope that it is still around when the time comes for me to give it to my daughter.

The Humor is Incredible!
Like all the China Tate books, it has an amazing humor! I find myself quoting several of the lines, 'cause I can't get over how funny they are! Look for the scene when B.T. tries to ride a horse. It's hilarious! The trials and tribulations that go on through this book are tense, but not so much so you have to stop reading. The plot is fun, the story is great and the moral is one to stick in your mind.

I love this book alot it is very real and adventureous.
I love the China Tate series. They are so fun it makes you feel like you are a character in the book. It's just spilling out with adventure and it is very detailed. I especially love "Wishing Upon a Star." China so much wants to be a star like her friend. I don't want to tell you too much so I don't spoil it for you so why don't you pick it up and start reading!

AWESOME
This is one of the best fictional books about Missions trips that I have ever read! The story follows the Brio gang (except for Solana) as they go to Venezuela for a two week mission trip with Brio magazine. The group gets separated, and the story follows Hannah and Jacie. The two work on a skit to perform on the street corners of Venezuela, and that is where Hannah begins to get mad at God because she feels that He isn't helping her on her quest to convert a certain amount of Venezuelans to Christianity. She can't seem to get her part right for the play, and her testimony on stage actually scares the people away. Hannah also encounters more disasters, such as an unexpected period, bad encounters with Venezuelan men, and she finds herself doing guard duty for the groups bags. Jacie, on the other hand, gets sick with bronchitis and finds herself mad at God as well, but because she envies another girl on the trip whose father came along--something of which makes Jacie miss her dad all the more. Jacie too, has some bad experiences, including two guys who like her and of whom she doesn't like back, and a bitter 24-year-old missionary who tells her his deepest secret. The main point of the book is where they learn about following God and listening to Him instead of doing what they think He wants them to do. The end result is that the girls find other ways to witness to others, and Jacie finally finds a Father.

Good book that you can easily relate to
This was a great book. It was unlike most books in a series like that because of the fact that it was realistic. Most authors make things up so the book has a good plot but they are very fictional. This book has the realistic everyday temptations of an average college student along with realistic answers from an average college student. This is a book I defininetly recommend.

garbage in, garbage out
Tyler is preparing for his annual trip to California, but things aren't going to good at the beginning of this book. Tyler finds himself watching a movie that pushes the "R" rating it recieves, and it doesn't help that his trip with his pal JP makes the talk of the town by Sunday. Once the Brio girls get wind of what he did, they're on to him, but because of the trip, they don't get much of a chance to talk to him about the bad movie he watched.

But when Tyler gets to California, he finds that his cousin Chaz is no longer a practicing Christian, and Chaz encourages Tyler to think for himself, which Tyler begins to do, in an effort to appease his cousin. Then Tyler meets Angel, and the two hit it off immediatley, and Tyler finds heimself questioning his beliefs even more. While in California, Tyler goes to some concerts his aunt warns him about, and comes home with some new CD's and a new attitude towards the world. When Tyler's sister Tyra borrows his bad CD's, they both get caught, and Tyler finds himself in real trouble, especially when his sister does something bad as a result of Tyler's actions.

2nd book in the Brio girls Series
The second Book in the Brio girls Series focuses on Becca McKinnon, a member of the Brio Girls group at Stony Brook High. Becca isn't very thrilled when she discovers that her parents want to adopt Alvaro, the orphan boy who the McKinnons have been helping since he got burned in a fire. At school, Becca is having problems with Hannah, the new girl, who in Becca's opinion has been messing everything up for her new group of friends, including Homecoming, since Hannah can't date. Becca feels that all the fun is being ruined at school and that taking in Alvaro will mean that Becca will have to baby-sit and give up all the activities she currently does. But Becca learns about accepting change in the end. I wasn't too thrilled with the ending, I ehought it could have been written better, but it got the author's point across.

Fast Forward is Fab
Fast Forward to Normal is a great book! It keeps a person interested throughout the storyline, and helps one to grow in their faith -- without even realizing it.

Becca is happy with her family and friends and the way everything is going in her life, until Alvaro and Hannah enter it. Alvaro is a young boy her parents fostered after he was sent to the U.S. for surgery. His parents are considering adopting him, but Becca is completely against the idea. Hannah, a strong Christian who thinks everything she does is right with God, is the new kid at school. She's very attractive, and soon wins over Tyler's heart. (Tyler is the only Brio Girl who's not a girl.) Everything seems to be falling apart in Becca's life, but throughout the book, she learns what is really important to her and her relationship with God.

GREAT BOOK!
I'm almost 13yo and this has got to be one of the best books I've read. I get the Brio Girl's magazine, and this is along the same lines, it's wonderful! I can't wait to read the rest. It really helped me in my faith.

could not relate to Solana, but good anyway
This is the first Brio Girls book about Solana, the one non-Christian in the group of friends. Solana is fed up with guys and decides to devote herself entirely to her Science project. She wins first place, but not before getting harassed by a guy who ultimately decides to ruin her project since he can't have his way with her.

Then along comes Ramon, the worker at Solana's Uncle's ranch. When Ramon learns of the destruction of Solana's project, he agrees to help, and sparks fly. Ramon and Solana are together, but not without warnings from Solana's Brio friends. Solana begins to contemplate whether she should do the deed with Ramon, and when she does, she starts to have problems. Suddenly, her relationship with Ramon is messed up, Solana's friends are mad at her, and her parents are wondering what she's up to. Solana finds herself asking all sorts of questions about relationships. Ultimately, she finds herself repairing the relationships with her friends and family, and begins to question her relationship with Ramon.

What I liked most about this book is that it talks about dating and relationships. I also got a glance at Solana's family, who are Catholic except for her and her sister. I recommend this book to anyone who's been in Solana's shoes--it might help out.

What choice is the right one?
I liked this book a lot, it talked a lot about the different things that happen. Solana often laughs at her friends when they try to talk to her about keeping herself pure and all that junk, and when she does what she has wanted to do with the perfect guy, she feels so alone, and like a big chunk of her heart, a part of her, is suddenly gone. As she tries to figure things out, she starts to realize how right her friends are sometime, and now all she wants to do is to try to make the right decision. But, is she ready to put her trust in something as unexplainable as God? Read and find out!!!!!!!

A Good Book for Christian Teens
This book is about a teenager who is trying to adjust to her new life. Jacie is not sure what to think of the new girl, Hannah, who is a little strange. She is a good Christian...but maybe a little too good for Jacie. Meanwhile, Jacie is struggling with her art, trying to get into an art class...but is she good enough? And, how will she be able to witness to others if she freezes up every time she has the perfect oppurtunity. Will she live up to Hannah's expectations and get into the art class? And...what about her relationship with the "bad boy" at school? Read it and find out. Also read fast forward to normal. These books are great for girls ages 11-14 but older teens may enjoy something more complex like the Christy Miller series. Anyway, they are bothe good Christian series and I reccomend you to read them!!!

good read
Jacie, a junior at Stony Brook High, finds herself in a series of new situations. First, there's Damien, a Christian guy who is having problems and is becoming the rebellious type. And then there is Hannah Connor, the new girl who's been homeschooled her whole life and finds herself in Jacie's group of friends. Jacie has a hard time with Hannah because Hannah starts to pressure Jacie about sharing her faith. But the exciting part is that Jacie learns that there is more than one way to witness.

I am a big fan of BRIO AND BEYOND magazine, one of two magazines tht put out this fiction series. This book is a faairly good book. I recommend it to anyone who has ever had trouble sharing their faith.
