A Favorite of My Now-20 year Old Daughter
This is a wonderful book that was read over and over and (need I say) over again to my 3 year old daughter once upon a time. Our copy finally fell apart from all the "loving" it took. My daughter is now 20 years old and a sophomore in college and in an early childhood ed program. I am so excited to have found that I can still get this book to surprise her!

An wonderful story about a small pig with big dreams.
"Perfect the Pig," is a story about a pig who rises from a lowly birth and sees its dreams come true. The relationship between Perfect and his guardian Olive is lovely. Young children I know who have read this book have simply adored it, even the tenth or twelfth time.

Wow! This was a great book to read. I enjoyed the exciting story about a young girl who goes out on many adventures. She likes to observe people and the way they act. This story is so much fun to read and I can pretend that I am going on those adventures too. It made me want to go out and see all the different people in my community. I hope that you take the time to read this book. It won't be a waste of your time!

If this is the book I think it is, then I read it several years ago and haven't been able to find it since. I love it! It's the cutest learning book I've ever read.

A wonderful tale!
I think this book is one every fairytale lover should be able to get a chance to read. It has the concept of Beauty and the Beast, but it's so detailed and exciting, that it seems totally different. I don't know about you, but this is one book you won't want to put down till it's over. A great book, written so well, why not read it???

A book that can take you to another world with a few words.
This is one of the best book I've read. It's imaginitive, creative, and suspensefull. It's really a breathtaking tale. It captures you and you become captive until the end of the book. It is a wonderful story, or version, of Beauty and the Beast. Same idea and yet so different. Definetely a must read!!

A fantasy story for a young child with fear of leaving home.
This illustrated book uses the metaphor of a prince on a quest in a large forest. The young prince achieves a sense of mastery and discovers that the forest is not really as threatening as he had expected.

This would be a good bedtime story for a preschool child who is having some concerns about goint to daycare, or starting any new activity. It does not directly address the reader about separation anxiety. For some children, the use of this type of indirect metaphorical approach works well. It is nice if the child can draw conclusions himself. However many children may also need the parents to talk about separation issues directly.
