Transgression - thought provoking and original
Transgression is an exceptionally well crafted book that explores the mysteries of time travel and faith. Ingermanson does a masterful job developing his eclectic characters, making this story entertaining and believable! His descriptions of daily life in ancient Jerusalem really brought it to life! Transgression is fast-paced and highly charged with issues of conflicting cultures and conflicting faith. A real page-turner, I recommend this one highly!
Transgression: A Novel - This Book Would Be A Great Movie
I usually don't read novels; when I take time to read, I want to learn something (I'm not looking to be entertained). I'm glad I made an exception for this very well written book!
Mr. Ingermanson draws you into the story as he writes with a style that allows you to 'See" what is happening around you as you become part of the story; you don't just read the words, you feel the emotions of what is taking place around you!
I sincerely hope that "Transgression" is made into a movie; it would be great to see these events on the big screen.
I hope Mr. Ingermanson will write a sequel to this; I would like to know more about what has happened to these people I've come to know so well!
I recommend "Transgression: A Novel". To paraphrase an old credit card commercial:
"Don't leave this website without it" :-)
A readers delight
A great novel that includes cutting edge scientific thinking on time travel, a fresh look at Judiasm in the first century, and some neat illustrations on the trinity, and of course an engaging love story. I really enjoyed Mr. Ingermanson's view of Judiasm -- it's very realistic in the tradition of Chaim Potok. The plot is inventive and keeps moving along at a brisk pace. The author avoids the cliche religious conversions and trite characterization found in so many Christian novels. I highly recommend it for those who like realistic characters mixed in with exciting ideas. I thought the end was very satisfying -- a twist I didn't anticipate.
