"Historic Cemetery Preservation" is a hot topic for genealogists and historians. Frederick M. Hueston had written a 41-page booklet that provides detail instructions and numerous color photographs related to the cleaning of stone gravemarkers and mausoleums. He relates how many of the common household cleaners and wire brushes will damage the surface of the stone. This booklet will provide you with step-by-step safe cleaning procedures. He has also included information on cleaning mistakes, stain removal, protection and frequently asked questions.

Hueston's booklet will help you to safely clean stone gravemarkers and, in my opinion, is a KEEPER and MUST HAVE for your home or local library. I highly recommend this booklet to anyone who is interested in cleaning stone gravemarkers or cemeteries who need to train their personnel in the proper and safe cleaning procedures.

The book contains some good tips, but the actual installation information is very sketchy and does not cover the installation of stone tile larger than 12" x 12". The book recommends installing marble using the thin set method, most installers use the mud bed method. I think the author read some books on the subject but does not appear to have any real hands on experience. If this book was sold for $3 it would be worth it. It is definatly over priced for the information it contains. I am a General Contractor and a Construction Manager with 30 years hands on experience.

I am a stone supplier and would like to thank the author for writing this book. While it does not cover all methods, it does cover the simplist and most popular method of installation for the do-it yourselfer. We recommend this book to all our customers who want to install their own stone tile.

Very superficial treatment of this subject. Very little technical advice on installation.

Having knowledge of a trade or skill is good thing, but if you wish to write about it, it would help to have a spell-checker, grammar checker, or a proofreader. The booklet is 37 pages long. I stopped reading it at page 29 with 14 misspelled words. Also some pages were out of order. WOW!

This book is almost worthless. There are no detailed descriptions of any installation methods. There are no illustrations. Basically, this book is a trivial overview of the installation of ceramic and stone tile countertops.
