Insightful book into the life of a teenager
This story brings back those memories of awkwardness and longing for acceptance that we all experienced as teenagers growing up. A wonderful book for our children to read to learn that these feelings are real and that we all have them. Might be an icebreaker for your child if they are entering the scary time of being a teenager but are afraid to communicate theirs fears to you.

A great story of action and mystery!
When Tanner is troubled by recurring dreams of swimming in the ocean - a place he's never been - he tries to understand why this is happening. Meanwhile, far away on the coast, Alex is having problems with his father. He decides to leave home and make his way to the city. His problems aren't solved by running away though, in fact they only get worse - much worse! Things aren't improving for Tanner either and the dreams grow more frequent, bringing on headaches that make him feel sick. When he makes a trip to Vancouver with his hockey team, he's unable to play and instead winds up in exactly the wrong place at the wrong time. The boys each have some frightening encounters but in the end, they're able to get help and discover a surprising connection. I highly recommend this book particularly for reluctant readers. It's sure to keep them interested and the characters are real enough for the reader to make their own connection.

Wow.....
Amazing! I didn't think that the time would come when I would ever cry about a book...but now I realize that my time is now! This book is unbelievable. The characters are so real and the ideas and feelings are all there! A very good read!

good
When Kia gets pregnant at sixteen by her boyfriend Derek, she doesn't know what to do. Should she give it up for adoption? Keep it? Get an abortion? She's faced with many difficult choices and with almost no one to help her. In the end, she decides to give the baby away for adoption and she chooses her baby's new parents. She also needs to find a way to cope with the way her friends are ignoring her and the way her boyfriend broke up with her when he found out she was pregnant. It's a very realistic book and at times it almost makes you want to cry. It was a great book that is worth reading.
